  • The studio recording of Amsterdams "Does This Train Stop On Merseyside". This song was covered by one of my favourite Irish artists Christy Moore on his 2009 album Listen. While impressed with Christys version, I sought out the original by the Liverpool band and wasn't left disappointed when I did hear it. Hope you enjoy as much as I did when I first heard it

I heard this on John Peel's show years ago and just found it again recently. How much does this make you want to be scouse even if you're not?!!!

@@pauxllynch3565 £££s from a man from Chester with an overinflated ego. he now calls this band "Ian Prowse and Amsterdam" because he is such a great socialist and doesnt want capitalist fame whatsoever. he wouldnt dream of cashing in on mentioning Hillsborough in the chorus for example or banging on about merseyside just so he can flog a few records in liverpool. hence why his career highlight is hitting number 32
