Danger! 10 Oklahoma Cities You MUST Avoid - Is Oklahoma City One Of Them? | Living in Oklahoma City

- How safe is Oklahoma? What are the crime rates in Oklahoma? What are the most dangerous cities and towns in the state that I should avoid if I'm thinking about moving to Oklahoma? What about living in Oklahoma City? How safe is the OKC metro when compared to the rest of the state? How does crime in OKC compare to crime in Tulsa? What towns have the most violent crime? What towns have the most property crimes? We'll answer these and many more of your questions in this video. For those considering moving to Oklahoma generally or moving to Oklahoma City specifically, we realize that these are very real concerns when trying to decide whether moving to the Sooner State makes sense for you and your family. It's important to know which areas are more prone to crime than others---before you commit to either buy or lease. For the most part, with the few exceptions noted in this video, Oklahoma as a whole is very safe. Interestingly, it may come as a surprise to many that Oklahoma City barely makes the list of the 10 most dangerous cities in Oklahoma, coming in at #10. OKC's violent crime rates are about average for a city of our size. Property crime rates, unfortunately, are somewhat above the national averages---but that should not deter you in any way in your decision about living in Oklahoma City. This video was made to dispel any myths that Oklahoma is a dangerous place to call home--and that includes the Oklahoma City metropolitan area as well. Having lived in OKC all my life, I can assure you that Oklahoma City is a very safe place to call home.
While crime rates are important to know, crime is just one of many factors that come into play when making the decision to move to a new city. For many who are thinking about moving to Oklahoma City, it is the low cost of living in Oklahoma City is the biggest draw. Not only that but Oklahoma City's moderate climate and friendly people also add to the long list of compelling reasons to make the move to Oklahoma City. Despite the advantages, a number of folks are still hesitant to make the move to OKC, concerned that living in Oklahoma City may be too boring or that there's a lack of fun things to do. Doing away with those kinds of misconceptions is the reason for this video---there are PLENTY of fun, interesting things to do in Oklahoma City for you and your family, where you can live your life without all the stress and hassle you may currently be experiencing in your current situation. The word is getting out and Oklahoma City now welcomes individuals and families from around the United States, who are attracted by the low cost of living in Oklahoma City and an opportunity to live a more relaxed, less stressful life.

i remember pissing off an ex-girlfriend when she said all the crime is in south tulsa, i replied there's nothing worth stealing in north tulsa.
I moved this year from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to a small town near the panhandle in western Oklahoma and couldn't be happier with the decision to move here.
Congratulations on your move! Welcome to the Sooner State!
@@HOMEINOKLAHOMACITY Thank you, kindly. I pay 3% of what I paid for property tax on my place up north and this one has more value. My overall cost of living is lower and best of all,... I don't have to shovel sunshine!!!
There’s a great book about your area during the dust bowl days: “The Worst Hard Time”. An excellent read about what the folks in that area endured. Many references to Boise City.
@@sammyday3341 I read it and my late father lived it, growing up on a farm in north central Oklahoma in the 30's. He said as a boy he would wake up some mornings with a light coating of dirt covering his sheets following one of the dust storms they frequently had....Thanks for the comment.
@@sammyday3341 Thanks for the info, I will look it up.
I can’t believe my hometown of Lawton wasn’t on that list, I’m happy about that. Excellent video 👍👍.
I Said the same thing!
Wasn't on the FBI list for 2023 but hey, there's always next year! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I used FBI data to compile my list of the top OK cities for crime. Lawton just wasn't at the top of the most recent list....Thanks for commenting.
The innocent man is about the murder in Ada, OK. Not Ardmore
Yep, you're right and about 100 others have also pointed out this error to me. Unfortunately, much to my chagrin, CZcams's editing rules will not allow me to insert a correction noting the error. Thanks for the comment.
i bet the most dangerous city in ok would seem safe compared to most cities here in cal.
You're probably right...I thought we had a problem here in OKC with the homeless and then I went to LA on vacation and realized compared to there, we don't have a problem at all....
hahaha..for sure...even in the "best" towns in California...OKs worst is probably equal to them@@HOMEINOKLAHOMACITY
U would lose that bet then, cuz oklahoma (458.6 per 100k) has a much higher crime rate than California (442 per 100k). Although the most dangerous city in California is probably more dangerous than than the worst city here. But on average our cities r more dangerous.
The problem I faced when I visited California is that I couldn’t discern the bad areas.
I went to Pomona in November of 2007.
We stayed a week. The sales manager of my wife’s company was from the L.A. area.
I would call her everyday and give her an update on what we were doing and where we were at.
Every time I gave my location Mrs. Maya would yell at me and tell me to get out of there!
The areas all seemed very nice and well kept.
I began asking the locals and they would confirm.
Lock your belongings up and stay away when the sun went down.
I’ve always been able to gauge an area by the appearance of the town. Not in California. The places all looked very well kept.
I bet youd be surprised. We find alot of dead californians who think the same way then find out very hard. Poverty and violence is poverry and violence no matter where you are from or how tough you think that makes you. Come find out with that woke skin lmmfao.
Yahoo! I'm so proud. I have lived in the Tulsa area for over 40 years. My house was broken into once. I went to high school in OKC. I keep a firearm handy at all times.
I grew up in Del City, it's sad to see what it's become.
Yes, Del City has become a challenging place to live these days...
Rural Oklahoma takes care of their own.
Great information!
Glad it was helpful!
I'm surprised Lawton didn't make the list
Not this year!
I figured it would be 1-4
As a rule I try to avoid cities as much as possible.
Thanks for sharing. City life is not for everyone...
@@HOMEINOKLAHOMACITY I am very much interested in rural OK where the wind comes sweeping cross the plain. 😇 The biggest trick is getting my current place ready to sell.
There are only 2 cities in Oklahoma. The rest are towns!
Ha Ha....You are correct! Thanks for the comment!
You are a city person. Ardmore is the closest city to me in Oklahoma. 25000 people. And it's crazy.
Greetings Lynn. I’m currently residing in Norman, OK. I arrived in late January of 2023. On May 8, I was leaving my apartment and as I stepped outside, I didn’t see my vehicle. A weird sensation overcame me and I quietly stepped back into my apartment. I stood momentarily, wondering if I was dreaming. Not certain what was happening, I opened the door and looked around for my vehicle to no avail. It was then I understood that it had been taken! I thought to myself later that day, strike two. In February, the tornado 🌪️ that struck Norman hit the building I work in. I may reach out to you again sometime next year as my wife and I will be selling our property in California. Thank you for the information. Stay blessed!
Let me know how I can help, whenever the time is right. Thanks!
Way to go Enid. Always has been a nice place to live in Oklahoma
Thanks for the comment. My grandparents and aunt, uncle and cousin were from Enid. Great town...
I can’t believe Idabel is in there. It’s been 20 years since I worked on a railroad project in the area and stayed in Idabel. I had no idea it’s now a rough spot.
Thanks for the comment!
Tulsa and Ardmore were surprising to me. My home town, Anadarko, thought would have ranked higher but Hugo and Idabel are hell holes, so makes sense.
Tulsa surprised me too. I lived one summer in Idabel and I'm not surprised it made the list...Thanks for the comment!
Feel pretty safe in N OKC but that is after living 10 years in LA and being caught in the riots, earthquakes etc. and in St Louis for 6 years. Only had one tense moment shortly after relocating here in the late 90s. My dad and I were at a gas station in central OKC and two obviously sketchy guys were approaching us wanting to sell us something. I fresh from LA was still carrying a rather large knife (and still do daily) told them to get lost and started reaching for it. They stopped in their tracks - exchanged a glance at each other and decided to move on. No place is really safe - stay on guard and listen to your inner voice.
Good advice. Living here all my life, I've never felt like it was in any way a dangerous place. Yes, there are really sketchy parts of town but for the most part, OKC is a pretty safe place...IMO
Good news is that you can carry a gun without a permit. Jenks., Bixby and Glenpool are safe small suburbs of Tulsa we lived in. But carried a gun, for dogs as well, in the country
Glad to hear that Broken Arrow isn't on the list. Hoping to head there.
Yes, that's the risk of overgeneralizing, saying Tulsa or OKC's crime rates are bad. Usually, there's pockets of neighborhoods that skew the results...BA is great by the way!
@@HOMEINOKLAHOMACITY Thanks!
Broken Arrow is a suburb of Tulsa, but is much quieter when it comes to crime than in the city. Lived here for 30+ years and it's just far enough from the city for me.
I visit my dad every couple months in Springfield Missouri and traveling thru Oklahoma is the best part of my drive on 40 . My friend lives in Willow and it is great out there . I love the history of the dust bowl and the okies , took a great pic of Sayre courthouse which is in the movie grapes of wrath
Thanks for sharing!
We are looking to move to Oklahoma somewhere outside Stillwater what do you think of that area
Very nice community. My youngest son went to school in Stillwater and loved his time in Stillwater. Give me a call if you need assistance finding a home there. I'd love to help...My contact information is shown above...Thanks for the comment!
As someone who has spent a lot of the last 15 years in the sketchier areas of okc, it's pretty safe if you know what you're doing. If you're just a regular person with no real street experience, there are definitely places you should be a lot more careful or avoid... Especially the later it gets.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it...
I’ve lived in Tulsa since 1978. Retired from two local fire departments in 2017. The street we live on in far east Tulsa is super quiet, never any crime occurring here. But like all states and cities, there are places to avoid. Behave, be law abiding and a good citizen and there’s no problems. There is crime here, but we have an excellent police department and they do the best they can to keep everything safe. Crime/evil exists everywhere so it pays to protect your property and be aware of your surroundings.
I like the greenery and lakes at Ardmore.
Thanks for the comment! Lots of outdoor activities available in southern OK
New subscriber here. Both of my parents were born in Ada. I'm looking to learn all I can about Oklahoma and maybe even retiring there. Your videos are very helpful. Thank you.
Ada is horrible. A lot of my family lives there. There is a lot of drugs and such there. I love it down there in the country, but it's just not what it used to be. I guess maybe the outskirts of Ada would be an awesome place to live. Still beautiful down there though. 😁
No vacancy
Very helpful information.
Glad you think so!
We live in sawyer oklahoma which is only about 9 miles from hugo oklahoma, we do have our share of crimes, of all kinds here, but what town doesn't regardless of what state you relocate 2!!!!
Thought I might see Lawton on this list, have been reading some pretty negative things about it in quite a few comments in other videos but maybe they are overblown.
In the research I've done in preparation for these videos, there are certain cities in OK that show up repeatedly (e.g. Idabel). Haven't run across anything on crime being an issue in Lawton...
@@HOMEINOKLAHOMACITY thanks, we plan to come out there and check some towns out, your videos are helpful! 👍
I live in lawton,, meth is ramping, homeless everywhere, terrible roads, militaristic police presence .gangs ect..
Lawton doesnt have a homeless problem - its a panhandling problem, Don't have a prostitute problem - it's an addict problem. Theres a few neighborhoods where you don't leave anything in your car.
Claremore and Foyil are GREAT places to live!
Agree! Clare more...Home of native son Will Rogers!
The book that John Grisham wrote about the murder you were referring to was in Ada Oklahoma , not Ardmore
You are correct. Sorry for the error and confusion...
Lawton ok has to be in top ten somewhere! I rank Tulsa #1, Lawton #2 and Ardmore without a doubt #3, rest I can agree with. I know one year i think 2012 or near it Lawton was ranked higher crime than Tulsa.
According to the FBI's crime statistics list I found, it didn't make the list this year. Why do you think it should be #1? Thanks for the comment by the way!
@@HOMEINOKLAHOMACITY Tulsa #1 Lawton #2, and solely due to more violent crimes in Lawton, but i base that on 10 years ago when Lawton was more violent than Tulsa. Maybe they got better?
So I’m sorry to point this out but at 5:40 the statement made is false the Denise harroway murder know as the innocent man case and subsequent book by John Grisham and the Netflix series by the same name took place in Ada Oklahoma, which is to the north east of Ardmore around 30 miles, they are two completely different towns and none of the events of that case were anywhere near ardmore
Watch your school enrollment i live 20 minutes from okc and in my county latin enrollment has went from 7% in 1980 to 32% in 90s to 44% in 2005 and now is 63% in 2023
Thanks for the comment!
The guitar on the wall looks a bit random. Like somebody threw it up against the wall and it stuck. I’d recommend taking it down.,
Thanks for the suggestion but I'm leaving it up. Been playing for nearly 60 years so guitar is second nature to me...Plus, I just like old Gibson acoustics....
Where is shawnee on that list cause i was suprised it wasn't number one.
Don't recall, just listed the top 10...I'll be putting out an updated crime video in the near future. It may pop up on there for 2024... Thanks for the comment!
A correction is needed in your video. Denise Haraway was killed in Ada and the book you mentioned was about Ada, not Ardmore.
You are exactly right. Guess I had my OK towns starting with "A" mixed up. I will edit out that reference...Thanks for alerting me...
I am surprised Lawton is not on that list . I think it ought to be .
Hey, there's always next year! The FBI comes out with a new ranking every year. We'll see if they make the top 10 with their 2024 list this year...Thanks for the comment!
Honestly, if you're coming to Oklahoma you're probably only going to be at okc, Edmond and Tulsa. It's pretty easy to tell which neighborhoods are sketchy.
That's an accurate assessment, no doubt.
"Honestly" those are the only places YOU'D live...... not everyone needs a Starbucks nearby
@@kurtrussell5228 Lol what? Who’s talking about Starbucks? Why would i wanna live in some podunk backwater town instead of the main metro area?
@@mkloven101 if you don't know, then you won't understand any explanation.... enjoy your Starbucks and McDonald's.

Nice video thank you I'm trying to move there from California in April
Thanks for the comment! Let me know if I can help with your upcoming move!
Tulsa is great, I am really surprised, so much to do there, so much fun, my daughter lived there for years, and we still like to go back there to spend the day.
No vacancy. Especially if you are from California. Seen what yall do. Go to the Texas. They have open borders. And my opinion is not just one. I'm the majority speaking. Clean up your mess. Don't come here. We haven't voted democrat since 1992. And we I say we I mean the entire state. You and your kind are not wanted or welcome. Tell your friends.
Ada is the location where Denise Haraway was killed not Ardmore. That is a big fact to mess up. Hope you correct it
Trust me, I am very well aware of my mistake as MANY people before you have already informed me of the error. My apologies. Unfortunately, due to YT's editing rules for published videos, I cannot go back and correct the info on the video, much to my regret...Thanks for the comment...
im from lawton i cant believe it didnt make the list
Several people have said the same thing....Didn't make the FBI list for 2023 but I'll be updating the list for 2024 in a new video shortly. Might be on the new list. Stay tuned...Thanks for watching by the way!
What are the 10 safest
Don't know...Good question though...The FBI only ranks OK towns and cities based on the most crime, not the least. If you had ALL of their crime stats for OK you could figure it out but I did not have access to that info...Thanks for the comment!
Breaking into a house in Oklahoma is not a good idea. You'll either get shot or attacked by a dog. My guess, is that your robbery was an inside job. Someone knew you were out of town and you had no dog.
You're probably right. Either way, getting robbed was no fun and really upset my wife, knowing that some stranger had been through her things...Thanks for the comment!
Places to avoid, Tulsa, mid-del city, Southside OKC, idabel, Durant
Thanks for the info...Really appreciate it...
Del city rlly isnt that bad. Mostly property crime which comes with being a poorer suburb. I grew up there during its peak in crime and it wasn't that bad. We were robbed several times, but no gunshots in our walls or anything like that, as some ppl act like it's Compton or something. I would pick it over many neighborhoods in okc anyday
Thanks for taking time to respond. I really appreciate it...
Add Lawton to the list .
Southside okc is god awful tbh lol
Valley Brook should be noted for its after hours club featuring naked dancers…all kinds of trouble to be found in this little community (just east off SE 59th) a strip center of nude bars as I already stated very easy to get in trouble …if you venture there I’d advise that you Uber because they make bank off DUIs and it plays out like this…they used to go through the bar parking lots and put hi vis chalk marks on your tires and they’re parked down the street. Anyway they usually take you to their little jail and in the morning they advise you that you’re either going to Ok county jail or $500-$600 cash (don’t know about credit cards) but I know for sure that kinda action is common…your personal safety at those clubs is pretty good as long as you know how to act. They definitely prefer for the police to handle any issues but there’s enough able bodies around…so common sense and manners can go a long way as usual…
Interesting info. Thanks for sharing...
How did Lawton not make the list ???
Don't know how the FBI compiles its rankings but it didn't make their list for 2023. Thanks for commenting...
Oklahoma City has a 2023 population of 697,763, as per the most recent US Census. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment!
@@HOMEINOKLAHOMACITY that was 2022. 2023 is well north of 700,K but hasn't yet been announced.
@@rchilde1😁 hahahaha. You are here.😁😁😁
One thing you didn’t mention is that the percentage of unsolved murders in Tulsa is very low! I know it’s not much consolation to the families of the victims but it’s seems clear that the police are not ignoring the problem unlike some other city’s farther west.
Good point. I was not aware of that....Thanks for commenting!
I live on what is left of our "family farm" in the DFW "metro-plex" or he "metro-mess" I call it. It USED to be rural here, my daddy bought this land for $97 bucks per acre in 1958. Since the City sprawled out to us in 1971 it has been pure hell with crime. *I could write a Book on Rural Crime* I have learned a LOT about Homes on land and CRIME etc. I am a real estate broker and appraiser in Texas, though I have not worked in that business in years. I had to move back in with my mother as the criminals that FORAGE on the County Roads figured out an elderly lady was living out here by herself, and started robbing the place again. The Sheriff's Department does NOT patrol the road, and if is just about impossible to get an arrest anymore. Of course, even if you CATCH the people that rob you, YOU ARE STILL A VICTIM. The Crime is so BAD out here, it makes me hate the WHOLE State. But one thing that did NOT help is the way the Home and outbuildings were laid out. THAT IS A BIG THING IN THE COUNTRY!!! My father did NOT think about CRIME back in the early 1960's when he built everything. He should have, they way he laid it out doomed us to YEARS of crime. There are things one can do that will eliminate random burglaries, but the "Inside job" is almost impossible to stop. Everyone thinks if you just carry a gun you have it covered. Let me tell you, I have had every gun I own STOLEN several times. I am a 6th generation Texan and I hate this place, it has been ruined by urban sprawl in the eastern "green part", west Texas has never been fit to live in, it is a DESERT that is getting drier and bigger. I was licensed as a Sole proprietor Real Estate Broker in Oklahoma, but I let the license expire. I actually have a real estate degree, it does me no good as I have to sit here with a Shotgun all of the time. We have had 50 YEARS of CRIME here. I would like to get out of here, but LAND, the *Post Covid Land Rush has made land prices EXPLODE* They want Texas Prices in Oklahoma. It is CRAZY. I am too OLD to live in a suburb, I refuse to live somewhere my dog cannot bark all night, or I cannot Target Practice whenever I feel like it etc. I will NEVER live "in town". But the land thing has me stopped Cold at the moment. The good things about Texas, such as AFFORDABLE LAND, Good LAND, it so High you must be an aristocrat to own it. You cannot farm $30,000 per acre land. Not with any LEGAL CROP. My ancestors became WEALTHY Stock Farming in Texas. Now the land is so HIGH, if you can AFFORD IT, you do NOT NEED IT. We do not have agriculture anymore, we have "Agribusiness". The problems with small towns and rural areas in Oklahoma, is the per capita income in most rural counties in Oklahoma is so small. Factor in INFLATION and the price of everything one must have to LIVE, I do not know how these people that only earn $15,000 per year are going to Survive, and *that might be feeding Rural Crime in Oklahoma* Counties like CRAIG County are very high in Crime. It was percentage wise the third highest crime county in Oklahoma the last time I looked. Then came Carter County at number two and Oklahoma County at number ONE. These numbers go up and down with time and depends on where you look for data. Texas has turned in to a Third Rate California. It is quickly going the way of California except it does not have the fine California Climate. I used to go to California a lot when I was YOUNG, I remember when it was the greatest place ever, but it was RUINED by OVER-Population and BAD GOVERNMENT. The same thing is ruining Texas, and will probably ruin any other Good place to live. Thomas Robert Malthus was right!!!
Thanks for the heartfelt comment!
If your dog barks all night he's not a good guard dog. Criminals will walk right past him and you won't know
@@dirtyscoundrel2013 You are correct about a dog that barks at everything, that kind of dog is a False Alarm Factory. My statement was contingent upon being far enough away from Neighbors that no one would complain. I do not "target practice at night" most of the time, but I CAN if I want to. My dog can bark all night IF SHE WANTS TO. My dog does not bark all night, she is in the house at night. She is in the house when I am there, or out with me if I am outside. I was trying to illustrate the difference between living in the country and living in town. If you are in Town and your dog barks at night, it creates a nuisance and the Police will be coming to see you. I will never live in "town" as long as I am physically and mentally able to live in the country. Even if one lives in an area where shooting and hunting are typical, if you have neighbors, they will Complain about shooting firearms. I myself, even though I shoot a lot, I do not want to cause trouble with anyone. It causes trouble if they can hear gunshots even though they are LEGAL. Some neighbors will want to "feud" with you if you disturb their "quiet". I do NOT WANT to be a nuisance to ANYONE legal or illegal. I don't like having trouble with people. The trouble is the GOVERNMENT is making owning meaningful Land out of the reach of ordinary people. $30,000 an acre for LAND??? Outrageous. The government has RUINED Agriculture, then with its Keynesian-Neo-Classical "manipulation" of the economy it makes just owning land out of reach with everyone except the aristocrats.
@@bobburnitt5761 I've got a house in town but live in the country. Across the street they have several dogs that bark 24/7, they sell drugs shoot guns, behind them is a middle school. The cops and animal control won't do anything because she used to work as a secretary at the police department about two blocks away. Dogs get out every night and run wild.
I feel your pain. You’re correct about West Texas. I grew up there.
I reluctantly moved to Oklahoma in 1999.
Once here I quickly fell in love with it.
We live in a small town 15 minutes south west of OKC.
The property prices are as described. Sales tax rates are 10% and the liberal spending money grabs are on full blast.
The people I know here are now family. It is all good until you read comments on social media as goes the entire country.
The thing I love most about Oklahoma is it’s rich history of Native Americans. There is a ton to learn on that subject and most quite interesting and to the contrary of what most history and current affairs display.
My last visit to Tulsa was as peaceful as all the rest of the times. Even screwed up and left my vehicle unlocked with lots of expensive equipment in it. Luck kept me that night I guess.
I do not like having to drive to OKC at all. Never have. Just do not care for the overall appearance.
Norman was the town I originally loved. Now it’s becoming overcrowded with homeless. Still lots of good people there and they know their growing pains.
I’ve wanted to move south to the more rural areas of Oklahoma and have found the prices have soared.
It’s all expensive. It seems that inflation is set to drown any currently owned property equity.
The reason I won't install a pet door is because it's like an open invite to thieves. We lock doors to home and vehicles at all times, home or not. Security = safety = piece of mind. One night I forgot to lock my truck and a thief made off with a few simple things of little value - I never keep valuables in my vehicles. Some of these towns crime issues come from specific classes/groups/communities of people in specific low income areas. The crimes committed are mainly among and within those areas while the general population in most of the town is at a very low risk. Oklahoma is a constitutional carry state, so criminals are quite weary of the general population. Secure your property, be aware of your surroundings, don't make yourself an easy target, and you'll be fine just about anywhere in Oklahoma.
Excellent points! Thanks for your comment...
What!?!?!?! Lawton didn't make the list??? I want a recount haha
There's always next year! Thanks for the comment!

Got a dog door? Good idea to have a latchable door on the interior side.
I did have a door on the other side of the dog door I had and the thieves still busted through it to gain access....oh well...

Yes, I am aware. Thanks for letting me know...I will be editing out that section soon...
What about Weatherford or Clinton
Thanks for the comment. Well, they didn't make the FBI's list of dangerous places this year which is why they were omitted...My cousin lives in Weatherford. Great town!
Del City is a suburb of OKC. It shouldn't count. How Lawton didn't make the list amazes me.
True. But it shows up in the FBI database as a separate city and it made the top 10 so I included it. I will be doing an updated 2024 crime video soon. Interesting to see which cities are repeat offenders for 2024...
There is Nothing that goes on in Chicago or Detroit.....that doesn't go on in Bennington.
Thanks for the comment!
This was shocking. I worked in Tulsa but I never had any problems.
I was surprised too to see Tulsa so high up on the murder stat list of cities...
I bet dusting the toys and action figures at that museum is very tedious.
I agree...The museum's been there a long time so I guess it's popular if you're into that kind of thing...Never been there myself...
Ada ok is where the innocent man documentary was based on. Not Ardmore
You are absolutely correct....I had my "A's" mixed up...MANY others have let me know that I misspoke. Sorry for the error and thanks for commenting...
The horrible murder happened in Asher Oklahoma and Colgate. I enjoy the video though
Thanks for the comment...and glad you liked it!
i guess we got to make a living somehow
What? Idabel Is not a rough spot. don’t take this verbatim, it has its lower socioeconomic aspects, but definitely not dangerous. I’m from the area and grew up there. Being in the 2nd spot is taking away the good it has. The people are so kind here.
Thanks for the comment! Hopefully, next year it won't make the top 10 FBI Crime List for Oklahoma...
It blows my mind that it even is. I sent this video out to people around who live there and they’re shocked by it too. It is not the second most dangerous just bc it’s on some fbi crime list. 🙄
Top 5 worst oklahoma cities (usually) 1) tulsa 2) oklahoma city 3) del city 4) idabel 5) ardmore. Thats my opinion cause these cities and towns have been known to be the most violent for many years or atleast since the early 90's until now.
Historically, over time, you may be right. I spent one long summer (MANY years ago) in Idabel and then, as now, it was not a safe place to be...Thanks for the comment!
Chickasha isn’t nothing to sneeze at that city has a lot of crime.
Thanks for the comment!
Chickasha is definitely know for a large population of tweakers!!!
Ada Oklahoma should be on this list because of the drugs, murders, and corruption
Ada has made the list in years past...Thanks for the comment!
I think Oklahoma is a great state for low crime, but I don’t want anyone moving here from another state and bringing there bad way of life with them.
I hear you...I suppose that's the risk we run of so many moving in from other states.. Can't blame them for wanting to leave certain states though. Hearing some of their horror stories, I'd want to leave too...Thanks for the comment!
Don't move to Sapulpa l😅
If you remove 61st and Peoria, and any street ending with “North” Tulsa becomes the 2nd safest city on earth
Could be but admittedly don't know where Tulsa's "sketchy" parts of town are. Will take your word for it....Thanks for the comment!
Innocent Man was in Ada. Does this guy even live in Oklahoma?
Yes, I am very aware that the crime occurred in Ada. Many others have commented on this reporting error. I made a mistake in my narrative that, unfortunately, due to CZcams's editing rules, I cannot go back and correct. My apologies. And to answer your questions, yes, I have lived in Oklahoma my entire life...Thanks for watching!
Isn’t it funny how the video maker used only white actors. WHY not tell it like it Really is ⁉️
we had a mountain bike stolen from the locked bike rack at Penn Square Mall on a Monday afternoon with the police parking lot camera and the security truck driver sitting in the same lot. broad daylight...
Sorry to hear that. Thieves can be pretty bold these days no doubt...Thanks for taking time to comment on my video...
Why are you ruining my childhood? Lol lived or stayed the night on all your city picks
Sorry, blame the FBI...They're the source of the crime statistics I posted and the list of the most crime-prone cities in OK, at least for this year...
I have lived in NW OKC since 1964, I love my State. The issue is the 500,000 + illegals here. Cops will not stop an illegal because there is nothing they can do with them. (This is from OKC PD).
Thanks for the comment! I just posted a video on why Texans are moving to Oklahoma. Can't imagine what law enforcement there has to deal with regarding this problem...
Ironically, almost all of these cities police departments pay $80k+ PER police vehicle. Priorities.
Edit: i build their cruisers, thats how i know.
Interesting....Thanks for the comment!
I just moved to Oklahoma from LA i can't wait to move to Dallas okc is boring asf ain't shit too do its cheap nice i like tx better
Thanks for the comment!
Tulsa oklahoma is not as bad as oklahoma city
Thanks for taking time to comment!
I live in Shawnee, OK and we don't have a lot of crime. We do have a large sales tax at 10%, the highest in Oklahoma and a City Council who is very liberal and need to get voted out next election. We have homeless issues downtown as do many places, but we are beginning to address that issue.
Thanks for the comment!
If your smart you would keep it liberal. Conservative, nazis same thing. You don't like it move there are a hell of a lot more conservative places in that shit state.
Don't give up elect people with your values.
Wanna get away with redrum. Come down to LeFlore county, they can't solve shit here in Poteau
The Shining' reference noted...(One of my favorite movies..."Here's Johnny!") Thanks for the comment!
tulsa absolutely has gone down hill in the past 25 years. since katrina id say. North tulsa, now west and east tulsa are gang infested. now the 61 peoria area. sad deal
I've heard the same thing from others...Thanks for the comment!
Watch the news daily 😂
Thanks for the comment!
Ardmore and Hugo are gateway cities coming out of Texas.
That would make sense. I am not surprised...Thanks for the comment!
Oh man, this is why you don’t get rid of your dog….. people need to do better training their dogs or paying a professional to so they don’t have to “rehome” them. People are selfish, Lazy and cheap!!!! Do better!
Thanks for the comment!
Anadarko? Ha ha ha ha! 😂😂😅
Thanks for the comment!
You need to fact check Denise Haraway Think Ada Oklahoma. You are 69 miles from the truth on that.
Yes, the Haraway murder was indeed a tragedy that occurred in Ada in 1984. It was all over the news back then...That said, the rankings I mention in my video are the most recent FBI statistics from 2023...
I think he's missing the point in his reply. It was ADA not ARDMORE. Jeez, give us credit for something down here in Pontotoc County. This dude is just out to sell some houses.
You must don't live in okc .... ain't nothing safe about it
Thanks for the comment.
Oklahoma is not open. No vacancy. Go to Texas. They got open borders
Thanks for the comment!
Yes. Please stay away from our state.
Thanks for the comment!
Denise Haraway was from Ada ok.
Whoops! You are right. My mistake...
Now give a place where the pigs don't mess with you. Oklahoma cops are the worst.
