The "low" rated 2400 player panicked under 2 seconds and premoved the whole house, that was so hilarious, Levy is truly goated
He first started panicking at 15 seconds tryna make a draw 3 pawns up lmfao

Also at 20:49 the bishop could take bishop but even if rook pawn takes the bishop is no longer guarding b2 so Qb2 them its ka2 then it’s super scary for white
The most impressive thing is that levy actually crossed 2800 playing the worst openings 😂

@@crying.sobbing.throwingup 😭
Bro why I’m I laughing at a chess CZcamsr's comment section 💀
The fact that the first opponent knew the theory for the worst oponing like wat man
Levy: I'm so bad at chess
Also Levy: Beats titled players by using the worst openings in the game
Levy: “I’m not super scared. “Should I be super scared?”
That is an accurate representation of my mind whenever I play chess
Good question
The answer is yes, you could
That punish on the excessive premoving was amazing

Wtf? How did you knew that I watch this after 6 month?
Same 😂
I think the important lesson here is being missed by a lot of people. Even if you make a mistake (a bad opening in this instance) solid and pragmatic chess can still get you a win!
Also I like the new hair.
Even if you make a mistake and lose a queen or rook, you can still comeback and win if you don't panic especially at the lower levels or in rapid games.
Respect for Levy trying dubious openings and dubious hairstyles

The fact that Levy didn't just lose on the spot in most of these games considering some of his opponents were higher rated than him makes me wonder why this guy isn't a GM yet
He’s said it himself: he is good enough, just the nerves get to him and he chokes a lot
@@Nick_J_t’s also probably a different mental state when playing for content vs playing for rating. This is “playing bad for fun” where as a normal game would be “if I play bad it matters a whole fucking lot”
His opening prep is probably GM level, but he always chokes eventually and that's not a quality any gm can afford to possess which is why he'll unfortunately never be a gm.. His endgames aren't great either
because they're 3 mins games, you need to win in classical to be GM
@@Nick_J_ yes, but if you ask me he isn't a GM because his calculating capabilities are nowhere near Danya, and I may argue he is slightly worse at calculating than Eric Rosen who isn't good enough to be a GM. As another commenter said, his opening prep is insane, but he makes mistakes in most of his games that GM's make in one of three
you should do a video with hikaru with the queens and kings set on the board the way a lot of people think the chessboard is set up with the white queen xraying through the black king and the black queen xraying through the white king. it would be cool to hear you guys talk about all the drastic changes to the opening this creates and maybe some advantages or disadvantages for the white or black pieces as well as some stupid attacks and threats. idk
7:00 And then he sacrificed... THE ROOOOOOOOK
Even if Levy plays the worst openings, he still wins in 6 moves
Even if he cuts his hair he still wins in 2 moves.

@@somebodyoncetoldme1141 yea but you're 800 and gotham is 2700
He isn't wrong though. Based off engine evaluation it is the worst first move for white, on the board against real players it would depend on your theory and your opponent's elo and prep
This is part of levy's evil plan to make us drop Elo because everyone high rated doesnt watch his videos so while he keeps us low rated, he gets revenue in return. Absolutely brilliant.
And Gotham sacrificed... THE HAAAAIIIIIIR! Gaining a huge advantage by confusing his enemies who expected him to keep his amazing hair that was positioned so well right on top of his head.
What a brilliancy! Stockfish doesn't like it, of course, but we know it knows nothing about chess.

Levy looks like an adult now, I like it
I love when levy said “it’s worsening time” and worsed all over the board. Truly one historically chess moment.

Levy, idk if this is redundant but as a regular free chapter user on chessly, the endgames masterclass has soo much material in just the free chapter that it's making me wish Icould buy the rest of it. It is Absolutely amazing and the best course yet, the way you explain it and drills make it an effortless process to learn endgames for free. If this doesn't get people to use chessly idk what will. Thank you for providing such an easy path to learn interesting parts of chess and get better in the most effective and efficient way for free.❤
Barber: What kind of cut do you want
Levy: Tell you what, you play me in chess, I'll play one of the worst chess openings, if I lose, cut it how you want
Barber: Bet
Buzz one side of the head only "Alright now get outta here".
Aint no way did he said "If you're watching this 6 months in the future" and im coincidentally watching this video after six months of this video being uploaded
As an intermediate player who studied the durås gambit for no reason at all during my own time, i honestly find this very interesting. I really didn’t expect a couple of whites moves early on, and I kinda like how you went with it.
Him: struggles to win against a FM with the grob opening
Meanwhile magnus carlsen: beats top GMs while being drunk, playing the bongcloud and moving the king and the queen on the opposite squares

This was a great idea, and it was good to see how strong middle game skills can make up for any inherent draw back to an opening.
These can't be the worst chess openings. This is how I play, and I'm already 300 ELO.
How did bro know it was going to be 6 months in the future??
Ooh, I remember how Russian chess player defeated Levy with Grob opening. Three times if I'm correct.

The fact that you posted this 6 months later
as someone who unironically plays the grob opening thank you for showing it to the world, even if you dont recognize its greatness
Bro, he grob sucks, no doubt.
That there is an opening called the “borg” because it’s a reverse grob is my favorite thing I’ve learned about chess in a while.
i've only looked at the sample of the endgames masterclass but already with 4 pawns and a bishop against knight bishop and one passed pawn i took the knight with bishop and opponent took back with bishop giving up the passed pawn and they had no chance with bishop vs 4 pawns
Nah this episode was GOLD. Watching you play is nice. Plus no pressure because of the openings. Amazing work

Stockfish : ⁉️
Great idea, especially going after opponents of comparable ELO, demonstrating (once again) that more than the opening, it's how you play the rest of the game that actually counts, most of the times. Thanks!

Nice haircut and i love your videos keep up the work
It’s crazy how levy pinned that 2,400 and said why is my opponent shuffling his pieces when that was so him in the past he has truly evolved
I felt happy while looking at the third game because I realized that I’m not the only one who blunders pieces. Even IMs blunder.
For the first time in Gotham history the cut is scarier than the stare.

Damn, how does levy know I'm watching this 6 months after?
15:06 is where Levi Noises begin.
Isn't the worst opening always the exact one that leads to the three move checkmate?
he meant the worst first move.
obviously after the first move he was trying to play the opening as best as he could.
That game 2 was awesome, literally first pumped. Dodging a draw seemed crazy. A Rollercoaster of a game. Absolutely adore this content.
He missed a forced mate at 13:53 with Rh8+ which led to him having to rely on luck to escape the draw but I mean this is Gotham we’re talking about so no surprise there lol
@@benr3799????? What are you even talking about. There wasn't any forced mate to miss. Bd4 was arguably one of the best moves in that situation. Rh8+ in place of Bd4 is a crap move, simply Kxh8 and now you're down a rook for no good reason. Why are you coming at Gotham with this overconfidence 😅.
The final game is the reason why you should always play with bonus time after every turn
not necessarily, it's a matter of preference.
even with increment you can still lose with a winning position because you took too long to think in the opening and midgame. that's obviously not a good reason to say you should always play correspondence or classical.
@13:56 , you could just sac the rook instead of playing the bishop move, it's a win by force.
Was really hoping levi would find that.
This barber who done this to Levy’s hair deserves prison sentence
ЗАДВИНУУЛ!!!
I really really enjoy this style of content. Super chill just hanging out watching you play fun games is awesome ❤
You've yet to play my special opening - The Dram as it only looks good after copious drams of whiskey.
The set-up of the Dram,, if allowed by black, sees a position 1. nh3 ... 2. g3 .... 3. f4 if possible 4. nf2, 5. Bg2 6. d6 7. O-O.
I think my inebriated brain thought the knight on f2 covered the light squares so i could exchange my light squares bishop for something. What? Can't remember.
Thanks for helping! After I watched this video I went from Gm to 167 elo😊😊😊😊
