Has anyone else done 'too long I've been afraid of...' in that way? I really like it. I always felt Louise's Elphaba was under-appreciated - she put in so much emotion and it was really beautifully acted.
I saw her a fortnight ago, amazing! I saw her as Glinda back in 2011 and was determined to see her as Elphaba. I managed to get myself to London in October....and she was on holiday! Managed to get myself back a month later (no easy task when you live in New Zealand!) and was so pleased to get to see her live. Her voice just fills the theatre.
Louise is genuinely one of the few people who's versatile enough to play both Elphaba and Glinda. Like there's Victoria Matlock who was CLEARLY a Glinda, and we have Leslie Mckinnel who was very awkward playing popular to the point I joke abt her being an "introvert Glinda" or an "Elphie Glinda" and really would've been a lot better as Elphaba, then we have Louise who did a GREAT job in both, and with the two being drastically different characters, it really shows her talent
I missed Rachel Tucker who I am madly in love with and saw Louise back in 2013 in June. All I wanted was Rachel and I was bummed beyond consolation but then Louise came in like a Ray of light and I have never pre judged anyone in theatre again. She turned my whole week around ^__^
+Daniel Bowyer She's actually using her head voice and makes it sound like a belt. She's very talented at doing this. You should check out "Lost in translations" from Lift. There's this one note in there which she also seems to sing in head voice but she can make it sound so epic
I know most people prefer Louise as either Elphaba or Glinda, but I just think it’s cool that she can play BOTH roles, something that no one else has done!
Eden was the originator that got more of the "Elphaba's" to ROAR and let it out during "I'm THROUGH accepting limits" and "Well if that's love....". 2 powerful moments for "Elphaba" to say NO MORE! BOYCOTT THE WIZARD!! Such an intense and emotional moment. Watching Louise do it, WOW!!! The emotion that came out.
Edward Gonzales three years late, but yes I’ve always though that. She reminds me of old school Shoshana, before she started throwing in all the riffs.
+Rachel Shaw She was Glinda first, took a break, then came back to the show as Elphaba. She is to this day the only actress to have played both witches. Read this article: www.whatsonstage.com/west-end-theatre/news/08-2012/louise-dearman-makes-history-in-wicked-swaps-glind_3220.html

Rachel did it a couple of times when I saw her on Broadway. It sounds so good on both their voices. So tasteful.
I have to say I think her interpretations of both Glinda and Elphaba are the truest performances of any actress who have played either role... Genius!
Her elphie is so underrated. She puts so much raw emotion in and she acts amazingly with her eyes and body. I also love how heavy her voice sounds.

She really is one of the finest actresses on the west end. And that voice is just a bonus. So underrated as Elphaba... an absolute STAR.

Lets get Louise to Broadway people
Hands Down, Louise is the BEST London Elphaba EVER.
Errm that vibrato on the top note?! Amazing! And the raw emotion on 'soon I'll MATCH them..'

That's a mixed belt. Definitely too much chest resonance still in it to call it head voice
I know!!
I love that she mixes the bring me downs. They don't sound too harsh, they have just the right amount of power.
The emotion in her "look to the western skies" just kills me every time.
CAUSE someONE says they’re so” love it.
Unique does not equal bad. I wish people understood that.
Nobody performs this even slightly similar to Louise. And that’s a good thing.
I will always come back to this as one of the best DGs ever. You can just feel that’s she’s having fun and 100% in the zone. So SO good.
Her: "And soon I'll match them in renown!" gave me chills!
Amazing! Her 'I'm Flying High' is one of the best ive ever heard!
Louise Dearman out here BELTING for her life/last performance 😭😭
I know most people prefer Louise as either Elphaba or Glinda, but I just think it’s cool that she can play BOTH roles, something that no one else has done!
Amazing Elphie!!! U can literally feel her emotion

So glad I got to see these two in London in July!
LOVE that "TELL THEM"
Anyone hear Shoshana Bean in her? She's so amazing!
Edward Gonzales three years late, but yes I’ve always though that. She reminds me of old school Shoshana, before she started throwing in all the riffs.
Amazing!! Her best! And so it should be!
Louise was my first Elphie, she was so amazing and made my dreams of seeing an amazing live performance of Wicked come true.
QUICK. GET ON.
So good.
5:13 God her “To Fly” is SLAY
This is such a juicy Defying Gravity!! Love her placement in that high “deFYYYing gravity” line! Incredible! Love her Glinda too!
I'm so lucky to have been able to watch her on my birthday! Last November 6, 2013... I had no idea that was her final week on Wicked :(
my favourite Elphaba and Glinda!
I really like her voice, it's really good
Best “and soon I’ll match them in renown” ever! Change my mind
Thanks for uploading, I can't believe I was there!
I saw her in September 2013... While she was singing this song, I was crying... A very big emotion and a very big voice.
She's very good, but going by these videos I prefer her Glinda. Still, it's amazing being able to play both roles!
I REALLY want to hear for good from this performance.
I miss her Elphie!!
Hmm actually quite good
❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️
Rachael why did you make me watch this? Lol 😜
Please please please tell me you could send the entire show :P Or share the file?
Do you have the full audio for trade??!! :)
Could anyone clarify for me which role she played first? And is there anyone else that played both leads
