i remember getting the she ra toy when i was little and hating the hair, moulded would have been much better back then. obvs my dad and brother mocked me relentlessly for playing with a doll . didnt care
I like the retail version better, the power con stuff was way to expensive. $15 bucks sounds good to me.

I hope in the future we'll get another She-Ra head that's closer to the filmation look. They're including vintage heads with the He-man and Skeletor battle damaged figures, so fingers crossed.
Just order the “As seen on tv” version.
I wish you showed She Ra without he dress outfit AND next to Evil Lyn and Teela.
The gold on the retail version does look a tiny bit lighter than the exclusive version, but it looks like it wouldn’t be noticeable in most circumstances. It’s a nice figure, and the hair being a nice pliable plastic is a nice touch. It looks like it could use some customizing for the gold trim on the outfit to match the vintage version a bit more.
I still think the vintage looks better but over all a nice She-Ra.
I do prefer this She-Ra, I like the plastic hair and she had a nice more natural looking face. I would like to see Catra, Frosta, Glimmer in this line with plastic hair too

I can save my money on this one, since I already have a Super7 one. Besides, that weird headdress thing has always looked awkward and terrible to me. It seems with this one, it's same mistakes, new figure. Super7 have been the only ones to get her right, and Mattel had to sweep the rug out from under them as soon as MOTU started gaining popularity again.
I like the Super7 She-Ra the best as well. I will still get the retail origins one though when I see it in stores.
The eyes on the PowerCon version look SO much better....which really makes her face look a whole lot better than the retail version.
I really hope we will see, in this toyline, Swiftwind and Mantisaur 🤩

Right? I got lucky I got mine when I did. Because, now, all I see in stores are He-Man, Skeletor and Battle Cat.
I’ve found all of wave 1, but nothing from wave 2 yet. It’ll be nice when other retailers can sell them, Walmart’s really dropping the ball
The PowerCon version has thiner printing around the eye which looks nicer

The vintage has the best face sculp of the 4 when they were side by side.

Hi Dan, why is the toy different from the animation? Will mattel release a filmation accurate she-ra in the origins line? I think the animation looks so much better
Compromising the quality of the figure by going cheap on the hair seems like a pretty stupid decision. I don't get it.
This is the She-Ra that should've been released in the 80's!
I've mixed feelings about the rooted hair - in one hand, I'm relieved that the retail version has plastic hair, since like you I can't style the rooted hair to save my life - but in the other, considering these are supposed to be all about vintage style, I'm kind of bummed that we're not getting that, _or_ the proper She-Ra cardback!
It's funny that only Super 7 She-Ra really looks like She-Ra
4:18 what are you talking about? It totally makes sense for the shield to be sideways when she's holding it arm straight down. When she raises her arm for battle the shield will go from sideways to straight up. I mean it's your taste and opinion and I can respect that... but as much as I rag on Mattel, they got the shield positioning just right.

The head sculpts are the same. It's the paint, and the finish of the plastic that is different. Powercon She-ra has a matte finish, and fancier paint. Retail She-ra has a glossy finish, and simpler paint. But the sculpt is the same.
I do like the rooted hair version better
I like both Versions. I preorderd the Exclusive-SHE-RA and I will buy the other too.
I prefer the Powercon She-Ra. The way her eyes and eyebrows are painted is nicer, and the plastic yellow hair on the regular release is too bright. It needed to be darker, or at least have a paint wash to bring out the detail.
I finally have my Origins She Ra along with Roboto
There's definitely room in the line for an Adora figure being packaged with a convertible Swiftwind.

Early pictures of the retail release (such as the promo pics for Grayskull) made the gold pieces look _much_ more yellow than the final product.
Yeah, I was kicking myself for not getting the exclusive after the fact but I’m totally okay with this retail version.
It would be nice if it looked more like the original cartoon version of She-Ra. I will still buy one if I can find it in the store.
I hope they will release all of the other She-Ra characters like they did with the MOTU Classics series.
I also hope that Mattel with release all the characters that were in the original toy line, the She-Ra toy line, the New Adventures of He-Man toy line, the MOTU Classics toy line, and, on top of all that, I hope they will make many new characters too.
That will probably be a later released version of her. When they get to making repaints and alternate versions of he-man and skeletor.

If theyre making the cartoon filmation inspire figures for the new wave they must make a new she ra inspired by the cartoon with the white skirt short tiara mask and shorter cape.
I would love to see an alternate take on Bow in a MOTU style build.

The belt in my She-Ra toy doesn’t come of as easily. It’s as if they snapped in on it’s designed to stay like that. My toy is a U.S. release.

Vintage is always the best
Walmart has not gotten in anything new, they haven't stocked other waves at all, at least in my area (Pennsylvania). It's a shame they fail at every turn. Would be cool to see something else than He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Man-At-Arms, Evil-Lyn & Beast Man. Now my store is down to He-Man, Skelly, Evil-Lyn & Teela. Where's Panthor ??

I like the trick with SheRa headpiece. The mask I feel better suits the duel identity better than Heman.
I'm torn. I prordered the powercon she-ra before the mainline one was announced, and then i figured they'd at least be different apart from the head and packaging. I'm going to keep my powercon she-ra I think, (it hasnt even arrived yet) but if this review had come out before I had put in my preorder... I think I would have passed.

The plastic hair just looks awful to me. Personally I think they should have made it a carbon copy of the 80s figure with soft goods and rooted hair, while adding the new articulation. Like He-Man had. It's such a shame that on the rare occasion we do get She-Ra these days that she's almost always a significantly lower quality than anything produced for the He-Man and so ridiculously difficult to acquire on top.

So glad I canceled my power con preorder once I saw they were releasing her separate and they wouldn't explain what the difference would be. I'm glad I didnt pay that much for basically the exact same figure that i could get for 14.99.
I hate the cloth goods parts but as a fan of MOTU, He-Man and She-Ra ill buy it
it might be just the perspective but the retail sword looks longer than the PowerCon one in the video

I want this so bad!! It's so similar to the one I had as a kid but made so much better. The only minor complaint I have is I prefer the gold accents of the original, and Super 7 better. But I'm all about that sculpted hair 💜💙💜

i hunted down a recently released Origins She-ra where the face is painted alot closer to the rooted hair Power Con version. I think it is a huge improvement over the face paint on the initial releases. I don't mind the plastic hair. I just didn't like the original face. She looked like she just drank two Redbulls after being out drinking all night LOL

Omg I needed to see this had the original 80s version this is totally different from 80s this looks like has stickers 😳 one word don't like the child in me is not drooling I actually showed her off at school when I was little my Christmas present but this sucks sorry and the hair you can't comb the hair is for kids I know adults like them as well but looks cheap and the the one I got had had totally different skirt.

The Power Con She-Ra just don't seem very special... The Rooted Hair is nice, but without the Metallic Gold Paint I'm not sure she was worth the extra cost.
She Ra gets cloth goods and multiple accessories meanwhile Scare Glow got that crappy plastic cape 😒
I wish She-ra had a plastic cape. Molded rubber looks so much better to me.
The original She-Ra looks the best in the lineup comparison. Maybe they need to get a separate team to do a She-Ra origins series who are more understanding of the overall design sense of that original line.

The Super 7 one is definitely the best Shera since it look closer to the filmation animation and is an action figure. The other ones look like dolls
100%....this is just a doll. Super 7 looks the part as she-ra is remembered. But to each his own.....

It's a shame that the WWEternia figures each have specific comics but the MOTU only seem to have one per wave. Needs more comics.

Retail origins looks the best, more grown woman, badass warrior action figure. The “real” hair will get messed up over time like the old girl’s toys dolls and she ra....
I sure wish distribution in the U.S. wasn't so poor. Retail stores aren't stocking wave 2 and any time it pops up on Walmart's site it's only up for a few seconds.
The line is only exclusive to Wal-Mart for 2020. Next year it should be much easier to find these.
