@@mariaschonfelder82 The dedication tho even if you copied and paste
Budgies pick their mate by their cheek patches because they can see in UV. I love this topic, thanks for sharing!
no, they pick them by their auras. humans have auras and they pick by soul recognition which comes from the eyes. our eyes are our windows to our souls
@@jmdenison no
@@meflea3675 but how do they know what cheek patch is theirs? by their aura, probably also by their guardian angel. every living thing on earth has a guardian angel, even a blade of grass. woo woo
@@jmdenison did you not pay attention? You can't see infrared colors, you can only know it's there. Birds can probably determine that by the colors
@@jmdenison I do love the birb in your pfp tho
That is brilliant! I have been wondering how birds see themselves, and the world for that matter, with their fourth cone. Thank you for doing this video!
Same here! I hope bird uveitis lights are ok?
As a zoo keeper who takes care of a LOT of parrots and i already know the pattern of movement of the feathers before they bite so this video is really helpful in explaining their "silent" communication! Great video!
love it. do you also see bird and human auras?
How did you become a zoo keeper?
Birds are chameleons, but only in their little world.
Scientist: Did you see this colour?
Parrot: "Quack"
- Omg, what have we done!
Parrots dont say Quack
@@mariaschonfelder82 Exactly
One thing for sure is that my bird looks very special to me.🥰🥰❤
욜패티비_YOLO&PATCH TV amen to that

Jamie, your friend Mel did a great job explaining UV lighting, and I as a human have a difficult time with fluorescent lighting and wish they would stop using it. Always up for learning something new. Thank you for sharing, and see you soon.
wow... my mind was just blown ... excellent info thanks so much!
This is super interesting and makes a lot of sense! I’ve been trying to watch my nippy conure’s feathers more to help stop biting. This highlights for me that it’s even more important than I ever thought.
I Absolutely agree!!!❤
Great info!!!
Favorite video 2019! I've never heard of this before. so cool. I wanna see uv spectrums
if parrots see UV, I wonder how he sees the reef tank...
try kirlian photography. also some peoplecan see what birds see. it'sa gift to see auras and colors that animals see. look for people who take pictures and their pictures can contain orbs or fairys. really
Thank you for explaining a bird's vision through color. I will be taking more notice of my Quakers feather movements.
I love Quakers! 💚💚
So fascinating!! Birds, especially parrots, are the BEST!!!!! amazing creatures in so many ways! Thanks for sharing this
Very, very interesting. I understand that bees see in UV too thats why they're attracted to different plants. and especially blue ones.
I'm so happy about this video. Thank you! And awwww . . .Capri and her sunny! ❤️
This is soo interesting! Thank you to you both for sharing. I'd love to see more videos on this topic!
It's so odd that you posted this video today. I was just talking about this with a friend yesterday, how birds can probably see more colors than we can, because it almost hurts to look at them sometimes, like my eyes lack the capability to perceive all that they are in color. Very interesting topic!
Fascinating info, thank you for showing this!!! 💗💗💗
I love the bloopers at the end. It shows how much you do to make your videos.
Excellent Mel, TY Nancy
This was so interesting! Really enjoyed learning about this.
Fascinating! Thank you for making that connection with florescent lights in vets offices.
What an incredible video! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so very much for this really interesting video. I appreciate it, and will keep the type of lights that I use in mind, as well as the other information you shared!
I loved this when she taught this in the master class
Definitely something I didn’t know and super interesting
Wow I had no idea. Soooo interesting! Thank you for sharing, Mel :)
AWESOME! Many thanks for sharing this video.
*Loved* this one Bird Tricks! Such a fascinating video of 🐦 birdie 👀vision! Way cool😎!!
Wow! What great info on how birds can communicate with colors. I'll be checking out the links you've listed. Thanks again for video.
This video is amazing! I didn’t realize any of this, and this will help me better understand and communicate with my birds! Thank You so much!!
Wow, fascinating. I loved that. More please.
I read about this a few years back, but found very little information. Thanks for the photos and the links.❤️🕊
What a fascinating topic! Thank you for sharing! It really changes the way we house and care for our birds doesn’t it 🤔
Oh my gosh!!! Everyone needs to know this! I want to know more. This is some of the best information about birds. I was curious about what they could see but didn't know anything about. It makes so much sense!
I love this channel so much!!!❤️❤️❤️
This was incredibly insightful! Intuitively I would notice my bird’s moods on how they would ruffle their feathers but the connection with how they see is fascinating! 🤯 Thanks for sharing!
Loved this. So interested to learn more!!!
I love this. I had read (in my research) that birds see extra colors. This is really interesting and your right, no one else is covering the subject. Thank you.
Super interesting! Thank you for sharing :)
parrots seem to be somewhat rare: they also see some ultraviolet light ... and according to some scientists who have studied the orientation of the birds, they also see the magnetic field especially the situation of the magnetic north, perhaps they see a vertical strip or something like that with a special coloration that is precisely where the magnetic north pole is
Thanks! I've always wanted to know more about this.
Thank you for sharing your insights
This is fascinating! Just think of all the parrot owner/ 'researchers' you have intrigued w this video!
This is awesome! Thank you!!
Thanks for talking about it!!!
Great video. Very interesting, I’ll be researching this further. Thank you ladies.
Wow! Really interesting and new concept for me. And I've also learned a bunch from all the comments! Thanks so much to everyone.
Brilliant! These are the types of nuances we should all be exploring and developing in our relationship to the animals we share our lives with regardless of species. This really deepens our ability to understand the birds, their needs in a moment, and how to continue to improve best communications.
This is so cool! Turns out goldfish has the same ability to see UV light. It's amazing how each species adapt their communication based on their strengths.
Fantastic info!!
Wow how neat, I knew they could see uv light but didn't think their colour would look different or how much it would/could affect them. Really really interesting thankyou so much Mel and Birdtricks
Wow this is so interesting and really informative. It really makes you think. Thank you for this.
This this so fascinating, so exciting!
First, your hair looks great!!
Second, what an amazing concept
You guys are the best thanks
I had absolutely no idea! That's awesome!
Excellent!
and giraffes dO make sounds!
Thank you for sharing this!!!!
This was so helpful!
this video is so cool! thanks birducation!
I knew budgies cheeks glow under UV but didn't about other parrots. How interesting and amazing. 😊
look at the feathers of any parrots. you will find they luminescence. that's cool, right?
This is so interesting! Birds are amazing
Fantastic video .... will definitely remember this if I have to go to a Vet. Thank you.
This is fascinating!
Thank you, very interesting. Birds are endlessly fascinating communicators. Bird calls apparently can also be much more complex than what we hear.
This is amazing. I had no idea but is so good to know. So thanks for in information
Such beautiful Eccys ❤️ they’re such a “licky” type bird. Must. Lick. Things. 😂
Yes love to hear more on how birds see please
This video is really helpful!😊
Very interesting! Thank you!
The Eclectus in the very beginning looks just like my Ollie! I love them so much! 😍😍💚🦜
Wow..amazing information!!
Thanks so much for the video. This will help me understand ekkie better. ❤
So interesting!! Thank you!
Love this info super interesting.
I can see the flicker on florescent light and leds to a lesser extent. I am super light sensitive just like a parrot. :) I never thought about light in regards to animal communication quite like this.
Whatever Could you possible be a parrot🤔. Haha loved your comment, have a great day. 🙃
I know what you mean, one of my friends actually leaves/ wont enter certain stores when the lights are wonky (a fluorescent light at the end of its useful life will drive anyone bonkers).I love the ' light show' certain species of squid put out there, marinebiologists are still working on cracking their " codes" .
Fascinating! I wanna know more!
I have had my green cheek conure for 10 years now and know all her body language and movements. My friends joke I speak bird, but honestly, it's true! it is its own language that must be studied and learned. Love this video! thanks guys!
Mel is awesome!!
This explains why my ring necks are so aggressive and out of control during the evening time when we have artificial lights on...
So basically parrots are always vibin with the Mario Star?
Thanks guys, this is a really interesting subject!
Fascinating
((Gasp)) I am in awe. That is magnificent! ❤️
This all makes total sense! I have a male lesser sulphur crested cockatoo and a greater sulphur crested cockatoo. They don’t get along if they get too close to each other. After a shower, or just as a relaxing time, I take a blanket and put it over my head and make a tent. In there, they are very calm and is the only time they really are able to become close and even give each other what I call “kisses” right on the beaks. They are so calm and relaxed. Very interesting, thank-you! Susan, Mickey & Tess.💞
I didn't realize that. I mean I knew they saw light differently than we did, but not the way you explained it about their feathers also.
Thank you for sharing this.
very interesting thank you so much for this
Amazing!
Very informative thanks
Wow, intriguing!
Jaime you’re so pretty and your hair is so amazing! Have a great morning!
very interesting concept to factor in, esp. with us people who have companion birds and basically keep them under artificial light for a good third of the day...thnx
Awesome video!
This is amazing
Her australian accent and their gorgeous green feathers put me in a trance😳 and I didnt hear a word she said🤐! I guess I'll have to watch it again!!
Thank you that is an incredible interesting topic. Up until now I only knew of Octupus that communicated this way.
Thank you for a great video. When I had my cockatiel I felt that he was reading me in some way and it seems that maybe they learn from the colours we create for various emotions, It would be interesting to see how the colours change during a training session.
This topic really makes a lot of sense and especially for parrots species. Birds and their ancestors (dinosaurs included), one of their main form of communication isn't just about sounds (long range communication) but also what they see in terms of body language and colours as a form of short range communication through display. Whether a bird is young or mature (for mating), their colours are different too. Very very interesting and insightful video. Thanks for sharing and affirming this!
The topic was also amazing
I am so happy that more information is out there about how different animals see light differently than humans do. What is okay for us may be upsetting for our animal companions.
this is fascinating.
