    Fun fact: Black Sabbath originally was supposed to be a Blues Rock Band but then the thing with iommis fingers happened
    Meaning Metal is just heavy and distorted blues

      While the accident did help form his play style that had nothing to do with them moving away from the blues. The bands practice space was across the street from a cinema, then one day they were watching people go in and out of the theater while Black Sabbath starring Vincent Price was playing. Then then question was asked. if people like going to the movies to be scared why wouldn't they like to hear scary music?

      Sabbath stuff from the 70’s was very bluesy specifically songs with Ozzy’s
      Just more darker and and sinister sounding
      Paranoid, Black Sabbath, Vol 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath all are really bluesy
      I mean the band basically was just the dark mirror image of Led Zeppelin.

How in the hell is Sabbath a mirror to Zeppelin? The only thing they have in common is roots in blues and you can say that about literally any rock or metal band.

      Hendrix isnt a blues player?, he didnt even play blues to begin with, one flaw about hendrix playing blues was him not using feel. He just used big marshall stacks and distorted the hell out of it then plays a solo that just sticks to bends.

      @@periachi4961 there's nothing wrong but when you talk about blues you can't just sum up british blues guitarists in the 60s because that was just them loving it and influenced by it and was so called "rock" when it was just them covering blues songs. Real blues would've been just delta and then chicago electric blues which is the real deal

Hes sort of in the same league, players like paul kossof, peter green, etc.till now in the 21st century some mention him but as to share their opinions on rory himself.

    For those who think that he's failing at playing Robert Johnson: he is playing They're red hot and, except for the electric sound, its not a bad cover. Nonetheless, it isn't Johnson's most representative song. It would have been better to play Sweet Home Chicago, Walkin' Blues, or Crossroad Blues (but it's still a good cover).
