to be honest most of the things KOL said about the heads or snake-Queen wouldnt actually happen. i mean you (and the other heads) would be just a snake creature. no hands to use weapons or rokushikki or haki attacks, nop legs, nothing. just a slithering body x 8 times. not much to do with it to be honest
not to mention that the snake-like state its more on queen's df than actual tech. so i doubt orochi could so that cause its not so much tech than it is df
Marco's Tori Tori no Mi, Model Phoenix is the best df for me since it has abilities that somehow mimics the two other categories of df:
-Logia: Apparent Blue Flame Body (Invincible to Physical Attacks)
-Zoan: Transforms into a Mythical Bird (Flight)
-Paramecia: Healing ability through regeneration with his blue flames
The thing is theres so many ways to fly from soru, tech, and etc.
So flyt isnt as crucial as it may seem

Reg haki hurts Marco whole u need adv to hurt Kaido.
Marco has insane healing but kaidos isn't bad at all and he has fire, wind, storm, air cuts, and lightning.
We haven't seen his awakening either too.

Sengoku basically has whitebeard fruit on top of being a gaint. There are most likely many other abilites of the buddha fruit he hasn't even show cased yet.
Pell’s falcon zoan fruit actually has a lot more potential. Falcons are basically the fastest flying bird when they dive bomb. Pell was a swordsman but if someone like Sanji got the fruit, Sanji would be one shotting people at 200 mph speed.
Speed is irrelevant... with that fruit you can tank nukes🤷🏾

Regular Zoan : Hawk - redesign Hybrid form to look like Hawks from MHA.
•Sniper -feature would be the feathers , being able to detach and thrown at any range.
•Armament Haki -coated Wing/Feather sword
•Observation Haki -eyes 👁👁 self explanatory
•Conqueror's Haki - Not enough information to really say .

I realize this was about devil fruits we already know, but when King mentioned potential of zoans my mind jumped to an Ant Ant no mi, just because with the crazy natural strength feats in One Piece I thought it would be interesting to have a possible 20x or more multiplier on a well trained character's strength output.

Tiger beetle for me, and run at 250x their body-length a second, scaled up. We know bug Zoans exist, but a tontattas have them. Fastest creature on the planet for it’s size. Also a mantis shrimp has the greatest punch. When they strike they create a vacuum bubble. A boxer fighter with that ability would be living the dream. I’d be happy with either.
The problem with the Tama Tama no Mi is that yolk stage between transformations. That's the point where you're totally vulnerable, and even the lowliest civilian could kill you. In the manga and anime Oda's refusal to kill outright means people just sit around and let you finish transforming, but if we were actually in the One Piece world, people would destroy you in that yolk phase immediately. Combined with the fact that you can't use custom zoan forms (to truly min max your combat potential) and I think it's top tier, but not the definitive best choice.
My choice for a basic Zoan would be the Sara Sara no Mi model: Axolotl. The most obvious benefit is that you're amphibious. We're a god among men in terms of combat power, but with almost any other basic zoan out there, a swimming pool is enough to murder you. For someone with Axolotl powers though, you can live indefinitely in the water, so this major weakness from devil fruits simply becomes a mild inconvenience for you.
On top of that though, Axolotl's have some of the best regenerative abilities on the planet, letting them even regrow parts of their brains. So with the Axolotl powers added to our supposedly unstoppable combat skills, we're now extremely hard to kill as well, especially if we create a special hybrid form that focuses on that rapid regeneration.
Axolotl's are also covered in a slimy film, letting us have some sube sube no mi like qualities, or to mimic parts of Beta Beta no mi. I wouldn't say the slime coat is a major selling point, but any time a fruit gives you an ability that's even slightly comparable to another devil fruit, that's worth noting.

We know from Luffy in Arlong Park that DF powers still work underwater, the user just has no strength to actually move and do things. If that wasn't the case Luffy's neck wouldn't have stretched and he'd have died in East Blue.
If the Axolotl could swim though, that'd make it one of the most valuable / op fruits in the verse, since it'd make you immune to the only real weakness DFs have. So obviously no one thought it could do that.

For ancient Zoans I think I'd pick the Kumo Kumo no Mi model: Rosamygale Grauvogeli. Spider webbing is extremely versatile and fantastic for your utility, and the fact Maria was able to produce this from even her fingers, and not just her spinnerettes, gives you a spider-man level of flexibility with your webbing. On top of that this fruit gives weird flamethrower like powers (and for all we know those flames can be produced from various body parts too), and also grants you poison (which could come from more than just the legs as well).
My second ancient zoan pick would probably be Ryu Ryu no mi model Brachiosaurus. Queen's weird versatility with the snake launcher thing is really cool and interesting, and I totally agree with you on how much potential it has.

Regular- smiley’s Axolotl, on top of having physical stat up and having a tail to use and training to get more saitama, str etc. The Axolotl like a lot of other lizards and amphibians can grow back limbs and stuff. So in a series like op it’s basically regen.
Ancient- 1) King’s cause flying and size , also now Oda’s introducing you can change how a hybird form looks depending on you which is weird, I would definitely not look like a kite.
2) Jack’s cause I like mammoths also again Changing that stupid hybird look.
Mythical- 1) Marco’s cause of flying, and having not just healing flames but unique flames to control and fight with. Also I do believe that if you gain awakening you can if worse comes to worse come back from death as in the tales, but you probably either ; A come back no fruit, Or B come back as a kid with no fruit.
2) if I can do filler or non cannon, the nue fruit from the art festival cause of all the powers and cool hybrid i could get. But cannon wise the Buddha, high intelligence or enlightenment, shockwaves, huge etc.
If I'm in the one piece world, all I need is a flashback gun. Nobody survives getting shot by flashback gun.

Including prehistoric and mythical zoan fruits the possibilities for new zoans are truly insane. For prehistoric I could think of Megalodons, Dunkleosteus, Phorusrhacidae (Terror Bird), Amphicyons (Prehistoric "Bear-Wolf") or Sarcosuchus Imperator (biggest crocodile of all time). And for mythical one's there are for example Cthulu, Gryphon, Fenrir, Werewolf, Ghoul, Yuki-Onna, Succubus, Basilisk, Chimera or Leviathan/Jormungandr (World Serpent)

Barring Mystic Zoans, I honestly think that Black Maria probably has the single best Zoan ability for if you were just isekaied into the One Piece world as a normal person without any abilities. Even with how short her fight against Robin was, she showed off so much versatility with her power. You'd have access to fire, webs, and poison (which in the One Piece world also usually means poison resistance/immunity). Your own abilities are normally augmented by whatever animal you have, and spiders are insanely strong and fast for their size so you'd be getting a natural speed and strength boost. Finally even though you wouldn't be getting flight, you'd still be able to rapidly cling to and climb any surface which is a huge boon, especially if you're going to be fighting in or around buildings where you literally have infinite options. Spiders and insects would be op af if they were bigger, so giving that power to a person is one of the biggest buffs possible.
And then there's Kong who ascended from Fleet Admiral to Commander in Chief in WG with his Harambe-Harambe no Mi

if we are going for how the Dog Dog Fruit Mythical Kitsune model is compared to real life mythical Kitsune's, she is mad broken. i mean... there are levels of how great Kitsunes can be. from the lowest levels just being less powerful foxes to literal Kami! not to mention the ability to transform into nearly anything, not just humans.

Very nice and intriguing analysis of the possibilities of Catarina's fruit! I'm thinking what if one can mimic OTHER ZOANS themselves?! If one can transform into other races and get their powers with the fruit, this isn't very much out of the realm of possibilities imo. You can literally become any zoan if this is the case which would be immensely broken in itself!

Honestly, I'm waiting for more mythical Zoans in OP. Many of us can safely assume that Dragon could indeed have a European Dragon. There's a chance we could see a Leviathan fruit , Titan fruit , I mean there's and endless amount of potential.

Normal: Chopper fruit[the potential of me being able to have different forms but be myself is a can't miss..So I could have a speed form, power form, etc]
Ancient: Ulti fruit[Always loved rampardos] X Drake fruit
Mythical: Kaido fruit , marco fruit

I would say Black Maria's ancient zoan is the most versatile and potentially powerful fruit out of the ones we've seen thus far. The thing can spit fire and produce web traps on top of having a naturally buffed exoskeleton and extra limbs.

@21:40 KoL I have this theory that electro isn't exclusive to the Minks, its just that their the only ones with indepth knowledge of it. It kinda goes like this, back on Zhou they mentioned that they kinda view humans as just hairless monkey minks. In a way I think all creatures are tied to one another especially if they can communicate in the same language or have earily similar features kinda how in real life we have a prime ancestor but different groups of the same race can evolve differently if they are separated by environments. I like thinking about what some of the forgotten or silly or one-time devil fruits would be like in the hands of the strong. I had never really put much thought into it until Shiryu brought out the fucking invisibility fruit. A fruit presented as a gag power used by a gag character. And now a psychopathic mass murdering Yonko Crew member being invisible? Shits scary.
The Bato Bato no Mi Model: Vampire from Unlimited World Red is definitely up there as far as Mythical Zoans go simply because, by default, you are immortal and can draw strength from the blood and life-force of others. Plus, if we're assuming it includes some of the more esoteric abilities of vampires, then it could be WAY more busted than Redfield was able to show off in his limited screentime in his own game.

The tama tama no mi actually makes sense. It potentially makes the user immortal, at least in terms of not being able to be killed by physical means. It was also confirmed to be a zoan by the official One Piece youtube channel a couple of months ago so it checks out.
For ancient zoans, I'd go with either Black Maria's spider fruit or Page 1's Spino fruit. Mythical zoan I have to Marco's Phoenix fruit. Possibilities could be endless, especially if awakening could increase your flames range to have a greater area of effect.

I’d probably want to be a mystical zonal leviathan type devil fruit that cuts out not being able to swim all my attacks would obviously be water based and in the OP world everything is surrounded by water I’d definitely have observation Haki ( I’d probably have it a mix of sonar and being able to see into the future ) I’d have kings haki and coating if I could have a human hybrid form but if we picking from OP characters that’s a hard pick

But whether it's being thrown into the OP world (with the given conditions) are being able to eat a DF in real life, my #1 in pretty much most cases is Devon's Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi (Dog Dog Fruit, Model: Nine-tailed Fox)
I would already be strong enough to not need a DF anyways - if I can have pretty much everything else. Like, being a super strong Advanced Conq. Haki user and general Haki master + Rokushiki master (because...why not) and even having some convenient cyborg parts hidden within my body.
I'd already be confident in my combat abilities regardless. The mythical Dog Dog fruit would give me some additional toughness and recovery rate (especially if I manage to awaken) but most importantly: it gives me one of the best/most op utility skills you could possibly have - shapeshifting. That's just an insanely strong and versatile ability that can come in clutch/be useful in many situations in which strength is irrelevant.
....you also get to check out what everyone looks like naked.
But you could probably even use the shapeshifting ability for combat by - for example - turning into someone huge.
King for paramecia you HAVE to at least give Ton-Ton no mi and honorable mention. Garp with that power would be unreal.
