Evanescence got me through some really horrible times. The haunting themes and power in their voices just eased a difficult path I was on. Great to see you react to a very underrated band.
Can you notice at 1:40 where even the hairs are standing up on Amy’s arms?! Such an amazing vibe from the audience! Such an amazing singer… amazing band..amazing performance!!!!
You know when a live artist plays just a few notes on the piano and everyone goes completely bonkers, you're in for something very special and Amy NEVER disappoints. I'm convinced she is actually an alien from the planet MUSIC and is the living embodiment of musical perfection. God bless her.
Love Amy's voice, and her musical sense. One of my favorite live performances is on Paste Magazine's CZcams channel. Her performance of "Good Enough" is just her and piano. You can hear her voice in all it's glory
Amy Lee is one of the best female vocalist currently out there. She is amazing. When Amy and Lindsey Stirling have collaborated on a few songs it’s been epic.
I’ve not really listened to much Evanescence but this was beautiful, Amy’s singing is really beautiful! The combination of Amy and the rest of the band is really cool, almost a symphonic metal vibe. Really enjoyed your reaction, lovely 🌹
i really enjoyed your reaction, i dont normally watch reactor's reacting to something that they have already seen, but i love the song and was happy to listen to it again, but your joy really added something and i am always up for seeing someone enjoy on that level, thank you
I've had the pleasure of seeing Evanescence twice and I have to tell ya of all the vocalists I have seen live, there is no one better then Amy Lee live! She is absolutely amazing and the band are incredible musicians! Highly recommend checking them out on tour if you can!
Seen them twice in the past year, such a powerful and angelic voice, if you haven't already check out who they toured with, the bands within temptation and Sharon's voice is just amazing too
If you haven't heard their Synthesis album you absolutely should. It's got some new songs, but is mostly updated/reimagined versions of previous songs and the whole album is just outstanding. Highly recommend. It's also got an updated version of Bring Me to Life without the male vocals, which Amy has said is the way the song was originally written. It's a really interesting version, especially with the addition of a lot of orchestral sound, since the "rap" vocals aren't there, but it doesn't really feel like they're necessarily missing. I'm going to stop talking because I'll nerd out about Evanescence all day.
If you ever get a chance to see them live I highly highly recommend it! I saw them for the first time for the Synthesis tour and a couple months ago with Korn! If you haven't seen her duet with Lizzy Hale you need to check that out!
The fact that you realized how impossible it is to do what she does and that she does it flawlessly (even better then studio!!!!) while she is running around the stage ( when she's not playing flawless piano !!!!!) just shows how much you get music....You put so many other reactors to shame.. This is why I subscribed awhile back!!! Best reaction yet!!!!!!!
I think I heard this song when it first came out 20 years ago. I have been staying alive since then because Amy has been inspiring me to survive myself. There are other songs that have had a similar effect, but this song is very prominent in that in my memories. Keep it metal. \m/
So good I hadn't seen this version thank you. Amy Lee is incredible wow. Great reaction you nailed it. Amy did a solo song for a movie " Speak To Me " which is really good and hits you in the feels her vocals are insane it's under her name not Evanescence
Great reaction Rachel! For another fantastic live performance, watch Amy sing this with the Wagakki Band from Japan. Even if you don't do a reaction, it is worth listening
One of my absolute favorites. (Although I am rather a Metalhead, usually listening to Iron Maiden, Lovebites and Nemophila.) This song and live performance is an absolute explosion of life, emotions and energy. Just _insane_ . (In the nice way). What I especially adore, is, how they work with _silence_ . You can make noise all the way through, or you can work with silence shortly before explosions of power. Like here. The result is amazing. I am behaving like a wild animal every time i watch this. Thank you so much for honoring this band, and this song, by reacting to it.
Goddamn I can still remember the first time I heard this: sitting in the cinema watching Daredevil, watching Elektra's training scene. They performed live here in Melbourne a few nights ago, but there was no way in hell I could go. Gutted
I always remember this, every year in my school we had a music festival/contest towards the end of the year, and a group of older high school kids performed this song, and it was so freaking good, I was so pissed they didn't win the whole thing...
I know ya prolly won’t just do a reaction from a request on a video but if you haven’t checked out Amy Lee doing a duet with Lzzy Hale on a Halestorm song called Break In .. you are seriously missing out .. they sound friggen amazing together
Always loved evanescence and amy lee’s voice is beautiful do a reaction to lzzy hale and amy Lee singing halestorms break in. Me and my wife had it as our first dance song last year o it means a lot to me
This is a great song - my recomendation if you would like to explore Evanescence further then in my opinion Amy's peak is 'My Immortal' - it's their song that will live for the rest of humanity :) xx
She has such an amazing voice live...got to see her twice on the Synthesis tour & after first show was looking for tickets to the next date a couple of days later 🤯🤯 You should try the songs from that album/tour...reimagining of what already know & the version of Bring Me To Life on that is closer to what she originally wanted the song to be before the label said she needed a male on there (how wrong they were!!)
I have had the great pleasure of being an Evanescence fan when they were undiscovered. She sounds the same live as she does on the CD, I’d even say she sounds better live.
Amy Lee did a live version of this song with a Japanese band called The Wagakki Band. You must check it out. Amy harmonizes with Yuki, the lead singer of WGB. It's a much watch.
I heard Amy say in an interview one time that the label almost canceled the whole album and pretty much forced them to have the male vocal parts because they didn't think people would like them with just the female singer because dual singer bands with a rap element mixed in like Linkin Park were the big thing at the time.
a great perf' ! try "my immortal"from the same live: magic ! yes, I saw you reacted to this one ;). More ? your star, hello, lost in paradise, like you, ....
Saw them in Nashville years ago. She truly sounds as good as the studio version live.
You know when a live artist plays just a few notes on the piano and everyone goes completely bonkers, you're in for something very special and Amy NEVER disappoints. I'm convinced she is actually an alien from the planet MUSIC and is the living embodiment of musical perfection. God bless her.
Your joy when the chorus kicks in is palpable and adorable xD
Knowing the backstory to this song makes it ever more powerful, imho.
Agreed. Especially after Amy and Josh married
Love Amy's voice, and her musical sense. One of my favorite live performances is on Paste Magazine's CZcams channel. Her performance of "Good Enough" is just her and piano. You can hear her voice in all it's glory
Another great reaction! Phenomenal version of such a great song! Loved it!

❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ true!
Lindsey Stirling is phenomenal

Awesome Reaction Ray! This song transcends generations of GREAT IMPULSIVE EMOTIONAL LYRICS and MUSIC. Loved your reaction.
I've had the pleasure of seeing Evanescence twice and I have to tell ya of all the vocalists I have seen live, there is no one better then Amy Lee live! She is absolutely amazing and the band are incredible musicians! Highly recommend checking them out on tour if you can!
undeniably one of the most immaculate voices of our time. perfection even in the live setting. some of these newer singers need to take note of that.
Seen them twice in the past year, such a powerful and angelic voice, if you haven't already check out who they toured with, the bands within temptation and Sharon's voice is just amazing too
This is timeless and so good. A song that stands out from the rest and will still be played 30 years from m now! Maybe even a song of a decade…!
Saw them last week in Adelaide Australia they were amazing! Amy lee was only 8 foot away from me
I saw them twice this year. In April they opened for muse, it wqs so amazing and Amy sounded amazing, she had me tearing up when she sang immortal
So much of a good song!!! Amy Lee’s voice is angelic and that is an understatement. Loved the reaction ❤
Evanescence has lot's of good songs! I actually like all of them. It helped me see through my darkest moments.
Saw them live last week for the 20th anniversary tour of Fallen, Amy sounds just as amazing as ever.
You are my favorite reactor on here. Nothing rehearsed, pure emotion. 😊
Same here. This is a fenomenal priece of art. Loved it 20 years ago still do. Wow.

I saw them live this year and they played this song exactly at midnight, the atmosphere was insane!
If you ever get a chance to see them live I highly highly recommend it! I saw them for the first time for the Synthesis tour and a couple months ago with Korn! If you haven't seen her duet with Lizzy Hale you need to check that out!
Another great reaction. Amy Lee is one of the best female vocalists out there. 2 thumbs up. Keep up the great work.

Loved your hair in this video

Beautiful song
Great reaction Rachel! For another fantastic live performance, watch Amy sing this with the Wagakki Band from Japan. Even if you don't do a reaction, it is worth listening
I second all of this, but I *definitely* want a reaction. That version redefines the song and makes it so ethereal and haunting.
your reaction absolutely killed me you are so cool i like you also good taste of music i saw your reaction on slipknot a7x and other good old music
Magical!!
One of my absolute favorites. (Although I am rather a Metalhead, usually listening to Iron Maiden, Lovebites and Nemophila.)

There was a new live version where papa roach guest vocals and killed it
The most amazing version of this song!
You should listen to Missing and Good Enough I also love field of innocence and even in death
Hey!!! You were singing along , I saw it! Reaction my ass.
I have had the great pleasure of being an Evanescence fan when they were undiscovered. She sounds the same live as she does on the CD, I’d even say she sounds better live.
Beautiful my vocal Amy Lee❤
Amy Lee canta muito🎶🤘

Ты прекрасна!
I swear, Amy Lee has the most gorgeous eyes I have ever seen.
Speaking of amazing, you look fantastic. Back to the reaction, stellar as always!! Her voice is as haunting as it is angelic.
Now you will do My Immortal by them. Studio or live
Evanescence and linkin park are my childhood. Both generational bands that will live on forever
I was so sad as i've seen them my first time live in Hamburg last year...coz she was ill and couldn't show her real voice
Amy Lee is amazing in Voice and performance. She's unique.🥰
Amy Lee my fave 😊 ❤ my childhood
