I bought 2 of the Tranx 150s a few weeks ago, they are freakin great reels!!!
I use mine for a frog reel!

@@canalcasts-mc7jt smooth as butter and no bird nests yet, after using a 200 size reel it makes it so much more comfortable to fish all day long from a kayak.

@@canalcasts-mc7jt I hear you. The reason I chose it as a frog reel is because it's saltwater rated, it was designed for wade fisherman. As you know frog reels get a lot of green slime in them from the places you have to get into, and the tranx can handle it!
Currently using a curado200DC for my wade fishing here in florida im between this and diawa 😢 i beat my gear up and truck through the S*%t
I'm really wanting the 150 but now that Daiwa has the Coastal 80 coming I'm really torn. It's a beautiful reel though, nice work man thanks 🐟💪

How long is the reel handle on the 150? The original 200 has a 100mm handle but I'm not sure if the new 150 has a 90mm handle.
Does your spool have a light blue bushing/spacer instead of a ball bearing?
On mine it’s a white bushing
@@ReelBeasts ok appreciate the reply. I got the last left hand hg from tackle warehouse and thought someone switched it out. I was watching tranx 200 breakdowns and they all had ball bearings. Thanks again!

Hi the worm shaft for line guide is made of plastic? I saw it at the shop the wormshaft for tranx 150 is black colour.

You said the 150 is actually sealed but it I’m pretty sure it has the same protection as the 200 just smaller spool
Only time will tell, according to shimano it’s sealed just for wade fishing. It’s one of those things that as I use it I’ll find out if it’s fully sealed or not and I will let y’all know.
What type of braid and color is that brotha? I love the look 👀
It’s power pro super slick V2 I can’t remember the color but it’s the only blue that bright in their line up.
Would this be good for big swim baits?
Only small swimbaits. It's not meant to throw large baits.
