- The farm fields of their Laotian homeland are thousands of miles distant, but many Hmong immigrants are finding new agricultural opportunities here in the U.S. Many are settling and starting farms in Minnesota. Success in American farming requires different skills, and that's why a unique training program is proving invaluable.

I used to know this Hmong kid that drove a Gran Torino that was given to him by a Korean war veteran. He actually lived in Minnesota too.

I am a Cambodian and i love Hmong people !! Hmong are good people,they are productive members of our community.They dont come to America to destroy things,they're here to contribute to America greatness.Hmong people are not here to fly passenger planes into WTC like that of 9/11 !! These are peaceful people and we need more of them !!!

thank you hmong for organic vegetables, my mom use to farm and i would help out when i can, its hard work, people that hasn't experience it will probably not know, work hard to grow it and prep it for sale for cheap so people can enjoy it.
Its makes me happy just too see my people farm....and sale at the market...support 100%.......
There are alot of Hmong in Minnesota and in California, The difference though is that in Minnesota we stay together in neighborhoods while in California Hmong are more spread out and that is why they are so rare besides Fresno.
These are the people who put veggies on your plate people !!! Be kind to Hmong farmer,infact be kind too all farmers who put bread on your lips !! Alway make sure they had sufficient amount of land and water to farm or else we all would starve !!!
I've lived in Merced and Fresno much of my life. You'll always see Minnesota plates in those cities driven by Hmong. Guess they go back and forth between there and California quite a lot. In this area they have lots of truck farms raising fruits and vegetables for farmer's markets. They raise a lot of strawberries - probably more than anything else.
My father do the same job in France. It reminds me my old father.
I am from San Francisco, we have all kind farmer markets.. We have variety of diversity and ethnic groups that come and sale their products. Come and join us, we are at pier 39, San Francisco. We have many Hmong Farmers from Fresno, Chinese from Watsonville, Filipino from Creek Valley, Middle East people from Marin County. They all come and sell their product here in San Francisco.

haha typical Hmong community.. loud music and not much to show. i don't know about Minnesota, but some Hmong farmers from Sacramento to Fresno still use pesticides and called it " Certified Organic." lol !!!
