  • Israel's Iron Dome is designed to stop rocket attacks, a defense system developed with help from the United States. CNN's Nic Robertson is near the Israel-Gaza border where he reports witnessing the interception of rockets take place and explains how the Iron Dome works. #CNN #News

    • @ultron3693

      Mossad might be one of the best but that doesn't mean they are the Almighty. The CIA is far more experienced and powerful, but yet, look at all the blunders they made which cost them even their President.
      Remember, given enough time, even a very small chance could come into being.
      About the Iron Dome not working, you clearly don't understand how it works. If it was really not working, then Israel would have been completely obliterated by now and considering the high population densities of Israeli cities, it would have caused tens of thousands of casualties.
      The reason hundreds of people still died was because Hamas was launching thousands of rockets in such a small time period. Because of this, even though the vast majority were neutralized, there were still some that managed to escape and bring destruction

    Egypt says Israel ignored warnings Hamas planned major offensive: Egypt warned Israel of a pending Hamas attack ten days before terrorists breached the border and took control of military bases, and communities, killing more than 700 and taking 150 captive including women and children.
    "We have warned them an explosion of the situation is coming, and very soon, and it would be big. But they underestimated such warnings,” the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss the content of sensitive intelligence discussions with the media, told The Associated Press.
    The Egyptian official said the Israelis were concentrated on the tension on the West Bank and did not consider the Gaza ruling terror group to be a threat despite repeated warningד that the Egyptians though were not being taken seriously.

      If you're using "Iron Dome" to also mean missile-defense batteries, then the US already has one. An Iron Dome-like missile-defense system would be ideal for Washington, DC.

      That's an indication that you don't know how foreign aid works and are assuming it's some form of charity, or donated for philanthropic purposes.
      The US defends its foreign and business interests around the globe. If these military conflicts weren't profitable for American companies, then the US wouldn't be so eager to intervene around the globe.
      We're the world's largest weapons producer, war financiers, and exchange military protection for market access to sell American-made goods, financial services, agricultural products, energy, and natural resources.
      We've been doing this type of exchange since long before lend-lease. In Ukraine, they're fighting our hostile adversary. It's much better for world peace to have foreign countries use our weapons and economic aid instead having American troops on the ground, and possibly triggering a global conflict.

      @keagancasey9193 Před 7 měsíci +4

      i understand your point of view. it may seem wasteful in supplying weapons or sending money to another country in war. however, whilst counter intuitive, it is actually really important, even for selfish reasons. war zones are a breeding ground for terrorists, who may attempt to commit such acts in your own country given no resistance to their forces in their own country. For example, just before WW2, no country intervened with german military forces as Germany expanded into other countries, as they feared another world war. ultimately, this pacifism contributed to nazism spreading and ww2.
      besides preventing more conflicts and deaths, i still think we should invest in the security and peace of other nations. humanity works best together, whether it’s global efforts to produce a covid vaccine or other humanitarian efforts. evidentially, war zones don’t allow economic prosperity or contribution to global research, therefore it’s in everyone’s best interest to quickly dissolve international conflicts so the involved countries can get back to contributing internationally, which may ultimately benefit you and your country. you never know if the next cure to cancer or something could, in the future, come from what is now a war-torn country. i’m not trying to get political about who is in the right and wrong. in fact i am quite uneducated in this specific conflict that has been occurring for thousands of years. but it’s just basic economics. for example, after WW2 it was in everyone’s best interest to help rebuild Japan through investment in their economy and infrastructure. without that investment, their current economy may not have been possible and the world may never have known some of their inventions that ultimately benefited your life (toyota, nintendo, 3d- printing, sat-nav)

  • @Indonesiaismylife
    @Indonesiaismylife Před 7 měsíci +1

    Israel may be overcomplicating the concept of their Iron Dome. In reality, it's quite simple to intercept the mass-fired rockets from Hamas simultaneously. Israel could employ a Rocket Cluster, which would detonate in the sky, dispersing hundreds of iron fragments that would intercept the Hamas rockets. Then, Israel could launch Thermo Rockets toward the point from which Hamas fires rockets. These Thermo Rockets would explode in the sky, generating heat to make the Hamas rockets explode before reaching their targets. The light produced by the Thermo Rockets in the sky could also disorient Hamas personnel launching rockets.

    • @00dfm00
      @00dfm00 Před 7 měsíci +7

      I think you've been playing too many video games. Hamas shoots rockets in various directions and by the time their rockets are in the sky they are too spread out for a few interceptor missiles to shrapnel the sky. Israel is already very rapid in targeting the rocket launchers as well.

      @Indonesiaismylife Před 7 měsíci

      @@00dfm00 You are correct about Hamas firing rockets from various directions within the Gaza Strip, but you forget that these Hamas rockets have a narrow target, which is densely populated areas, so the trajectory narrows towards the target.

This would be a warning fulfilled.Then ˹after your repentance˺ We would give you the upper hand over them and aid you with wealth and offspring, causing you to outnumber them.If you act rightly, it is for your own good, but if you do wrong, it is to your own loss. “And when the second warning would come to pass, your enemies would ˹be left to˺ totally disgrace you and enter that place of worship as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy whatever would fall into their hands. He blabbed Israeli secrets about weaknesses in their Iron Dome to his Russian pals Lavrov and Kislyak in their private WH meeting. The exact weaknesses Hamas used to defeat it. Don the Con also confessed to committing espionage saying, "Except it is like, highly confidential. Secret. This is secret information. Look, look at this...
