I was stationed there in 82 never knew the klan was there. I was also stationed in Missouri and though I never ran into klansman there I did run into racist people. I use to hangout with another sgt that was puerto rican and one night we were at a diner and I could hear the people behind me talking about him. I turned to them and said, dont you have a white sheet party to go to. I thought there was going to be a fight but me and my buddy were just laughing our ass off. We left right after
