- From 1971 before the Little River band got together. This is on the tv show Move.It was a great year for Australian pre LRB group Axiom with this great song - my babys gone. With Glenn Shorrock singer of the Little River band. Axiom was regarded as one of Australias first super- groups. Included in the band Brian Cadd on keyboards and Don Mudie who both co-wrote many of the bands hit songs.Brian also had many great songs as a vocalist/solo keyboard player.
Great Music i remember sitting with my older sister watching this on Happening 70.
My God I miss that kind of Aussie classic music. Just shows what you get when talented people get together. What an arrangement!
Axiom really carved their niche with this, one of the finest songs ever recorded in this country. GOLD!!
Two of our greatest voices in the same band, what a great track.
This is an all time classic!! Love it..Brian Cadd and Glenn Shorrock are amazing
Remember it like it was yesterday. ❤❤❤
I'm sitting listening to this music and I am ecstatic. ITS MUSIC, ITS MUSIC, ITS MUSIC, my nostalgia meter is running at 150%. Shit this was life and fun and life, and shit I'm getting old . AND LOVING IT !!!!!
This is a classic Aussie rock band, & this song was one of their best. I remember buying this one as a 45 vinyl single release, when I was all of 17 y.o. .... I also remember this original video footage too .. superb oldies material here.
A great song with such brilliant Ozzie talent.
Love this song the Caddy and Shorrock legends of Ozzie music.
David Race met them in Adelaide a couple of years ago, still terrific
As good as any other on the world stage at the time. How lucky were we in Oz?
@@colinlatham7905 a little ray of sunshine

What an amazing band !! Australian music at its best !
I was 13 years old when this came out.Loved this song .What a great time to be kid listening to this music.Thank You Axiom.
It's hard to believe that it's now 50 years ago (this month) since I started at Blackburn High School in Melbourne's east.
This song brings back powerful memories from that year, 1971. Highly talented Aussie musicians in their prime. Will never be forgotten...
I started a few years before you at Vermont High a couple of suburbs further out. There was a shy girl whom I was keen on for a few years, but I couldn't get her to join with me. I later found out that she was concerned that I was out of her league intellectually, of all things. Then, out of the blue, she reached out to me at home at the end of my HSC year and was interested in seeing if we could join. We did meet, but after not having seen her for a couple of years and having long since given up on her, I felt no interest in her any more, and we never met again. This song was playing on the radio around that time and used to remind me of my regret that things had turned out that way and how I had no choice but to let her go.
Great song! Glen Shorrock what a great voice!
so loved this era of music, it was music, great bands, great memories too thanks for posting
This should have been a hit in US.
All their songs Arkansas grass the lot their regret went to England instead of the states
@@gary36104 Yes, seriously England was the music Mecca in those days but of course much more suited to American market, such a shame
@@gary36104
Well at least Glen did very well in the US with LRB. Made a fortune writing "Reminiscing."
In my opinion Axioms best song
Glen Shorrock i bow down to thee. Cop this arrangement, superb. What a blast!
Amongst the very best of Australian music.
Absolutely right - two of the best voices in oz rock, I need to only hear the first few bars and I am transported to summer of 70-71 - what a great time for living ... and what a great time for music. - thanks for posting the clip
So much talent in one group is amazing.
Great band. I have been privileged to play with all these guys over the years.
Put me in a time machine n send me back!Great Days, great music!
Sensational Supergroup. Glenn Shorrock, Brian Cadd & Don Mudie were made for each other!
What a wonderful era to have had….awesome music🌹❤️
Brilliant song. Love it.
Little Ray of Sunshine pulls at the heartstrings but this song just hits you right between the hips!! My favourite Axiom song ;-)
I miss those songs so much
Hasn’t been an Aussie band that has come near them. As individuals they were perfect too. I think most of us miss their music and miss them !
Everlasting classic Aussie music. ..love it
Aussie music from the Mid 60s to the late 80s was the best. This is one of the best tracks ever recorded
Now that's some decent song writing right there.
Two terrific Aussie talents
Class song class Glenn and cadd
These guys were just so amazing in the 70's.
Stephen Peters.
LOOK at Caddy in his prime. So excellent a song writer, player, singer.
He also wrote songs for the Masters Apprentices
He's a musical legend! Should be known worldwide!
@@combivan4346He's known in many countries. Lived in the USA for many years.

70's music at its best!!!!
So bloody great!
and this song.....i absolutely loved this one back in '71.
I love this song - brings back memories of my childhood! ❤
Groovy times man✌️❤️
I'm so glad there's dedicated people out there uploading great historical stuff like this!
I'd love to start a band now with that awesome style of drumming they did in the late 60's, early 70's. :) Like The Masters Apprentices stuff, etc. And those really nasty overdriven guitars.
Yes!
Bring that sound back!
So much talent cheers musicians performers just wonderful Amen thank you
Great music great time to be a kid growing up
i was 9 yrs old and spent my pocket money on this single. Just a great song
Fan of both Brian & Glenn just listened to show me the way this was on my play list . Had to have a listen cause it's axiom . Good song never come across it before . Westie from Sydney Australia 🦘🦘 🦘🦘🦘🦘 4/12/2023
I'm from Sydney too, and likewise don't recall it. It certainly was not regularly played by Sydney classic hit radio the way A Little Ray of Sunshine or even Arkansas Grass were. It was a #8 hit in 1971 both on Go-Set and the Kent chart. Kent has it as #60 Australian hit of the year, 1971. However while it was #3 in Adelaide, #4 in Melbourne, #9 in Brisbane and #10 in Perth, it only peaked at #22 in Sydney. On the other hand it had its longest chart run (18 weeks) in Sydney against 13-16 weeks in those other cities and 22 weeks on the Kent Top 100.
By comparison, Arkansas Grass was #5 in Sydney, #7 Go-Set, #9 Kent; and A Little Ray Of Sunshine #3 in Sydney, #5 Go-Set & Kent.
The band produced their first album with the earlier hits. This one was produced by Shel Talmy, who produced Friday On My Mind, and it's a gem.
Don't know that youre a baby boomer . I was born in 61' . Have a listen to young girl by the twilight's with Glen on vocals . Cheers
What's wrong with the way I live was the other twilight's hit with Glen on vocals
@@waynedunn1108 I'm about your age so I was a kid when this was first on the radio.
What's Wrong With The Way I Live was a great song and The Twilights were a great band. They were #2 to The Easybeats in the Go-Set poll for Top Group in 1966 and 1967; then Top Group in 1968 with The Masters Apprentices #2.
Interestingly The Masters were #2 again in 1969 (to Zoot), #1 in 1970 with Axiom #2, then Masters #2 again to Daddy Cool in 1971.
Summers by the bay, what memories.
Best song ever !! Can’t get on Spotify

I agree with Teebirdster put me back in a time machine and send me back to when music was fantastic and people knew how to treat each other well.

It is so good
Brian Cadd went on to right songs for some of the Worlds Greatest Artist. Also Righting and Singing World Number ones himself . Ginger man, Show me the way, Alvin etc. This song always takes me Back to the Good times of the 70s.
Great song - bought this single as a 12 year old in '71
went and seen Brian Cadd just last year, singing better n ever and funny to boot!
Shorrock has a voice that pairs so well with others. Whether it’s Cadd, Goble, Birtles etc.
AWESOME....Love it
A great song- brilliant memories of that era
Two of the best when it comes to music. I was a mad Twilight fan in the day as well.
What a song ... brilliant arrangement ... all aussie 👍
Fantastic song!💕
I so love this song listened to thousands of rock songs over many years but this is right up there for me great stuff. Beautiful song.
So much talent in one band, awesome.
Always loved this one. Still have the old 45 somewhere in a box of singles and EPs I used to collect years ago now.
@Prenty52 Thank you! Keep on singing!! What is so interesting about this clip is a year later I was singing with Glenn in Esperanto Rock Orchestra and this track is 'reminiscent' (pun intended!) of what we ended up doing with them!! I'd never made that association before! Such a great singer and this track perhaps is my favourite of Glenn's with Axion...Kudos too to equally gifted Brian Cadd! and the band! Cheers to all!! jan.s
Shorrock is a legend

One of the best Aussie pop songs ever? YES!
So good 😊
groovy sond love it,,,,,,,thanks hunx
Majorly groovy!
Cheer~~~~a statement or proposition which is regarded as being established, accepted, or self-evidently true.
Note how Brian Cadd is sticking to the white notes on the piano ... the secret of his success (according to him!)
Why did he want to stick to the white notes? I always found a piece of music with no sharps or flats, or the C major scale the most difficult.
Love you I have just discovered you wow fabulous melbourne group up with the best with fab beat
Wow .... a golden oldie !!!!!
two of the best voices in old aus rock , great single and hard to find in mint condition
Please take me back.....Jumbo Geelong
Why cant I add this excellent song to my spotify playlist? :(
