    This is so great. I do wish there was a warning about not using family members to interpret, but all of the information that was there was amazing!!!

    Great job creating this video to assist our deaf and hard of hearing patients to obtain the best quality care possible by helping providers to understand what may be needed for clear communication. I will begin using this right away to help better train health system staff.

    Thank you for this! I will be referencing this in my current research pilot study I am doing for one of my college courses. My topic is on the accessibility of substance use disorder services for the d/D/HH community. It also really helps me, as a Deaf patient, to be more aware of what my rights and options are.

    That is perfect example to show all medical communities when to have a live interpreter or VRI. Family members should not interpret because of conflict of feelings.
    Information there is very amazing and well said.

    wondering what the possibility would be to get this also transcribed into Spanish? Are captions available as a text file to share? thanks

    • @deafyescenter
      @deafyescenter  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi Patrick. Great question re: Spanish - this is something we'll look into! Happy to share the text file for the captions - please email Melissa Anderson at melissa.anderson@umassmed.edu and she will get it to you. Thanks for asking!

      super! thanks so much. What are issues with copyrights? If I pass the English text file to colleagues to transcribe into their nation dominant language. Also, the text file will be super because then can share with DeafBlind community. This is an amazing and necessary production. many congrats to you and the production team!@@deafyescenter
