DCS: Fw190 Dora the Destroyer (No.20 Server)

Wrecking havoc in a Fw190 Dora on the No.20 server, as God intended the Dora to do. Jumped into a server and it had 6 blue planes, I just had to be the red. Its good to be surrounded, you can fire in any direction. Canopy open baby, old school. Enjoy.
For full disclosure, there were a couple of friendly AI planes in the area, and they did some good work on this day too.

- Spitfires (2x)
- P-51D
- P-47 (later switched to a Spitfire after being shot down)

Shouldn't leaving canopy open realistically result in lower top speed (due to more tubulent airflow) and pilot not hearing anything due to constant extreme levels of noise caused by said airflow?

Excuse my ignorance, but what are those informations present behind the crosshair gyroscope? Spitfire 11.2 - Mustang 11.3 - Hurricane 12.3... ? And I would like to take the opportunity to ask what this protruding structure is behind the gyroscope, is it a radio or something like that? I have been fascinated by this aircraft, since its initial version, but I know little about the components of the panel and cockpit, and the operating mechanisms. I will be grateful if you can answer me, excellent video! It's really cool to see real pilots playing simulators.

Im not too familiar honestly, I just fly, and shoot hopping to hit something, but join my server we have a classic warbird plane expert that knows all these details and can answer all questions, even show you

These are wingspans of these planes in meters, adjustable by a dial. The protruding box houses the gyro i think. Check out Greg's automobiles channel. He has a video of gyro sight in use.
