Ministry of ICT should be ashamed and kudos to these brothers for making it cheaper

Thanks NTV UG. For those skeptical of the business, i would say that it is a very legit business. The only issue i saw was the other guy who said they were getting connected illegally but if you have a proper connection from the ISP, then its okay to sell the wifi. This business is the same model like running an internet cafe only that this has more flexibility and reach. We have installed this for several businesses. Actually, the ISPs are also earning big because these resellers pay for top level speeds at a monthly fee. Most ISPs know this because we work with them. However, you can always inquire with the ISP you want to use if you are not sure.

@@samuelkiwanuka115 nah that's not true. There are different licenses for different levels. Take for example k2 phone network which actually resells airtel connections. It has a license to be a phone network but in reality, you are buying airtel.
The issue is that guy is using up wireless spectrum and that's regulated to prevent service problems. WiFi especially is prone to interference by having too many networks in one place or one powerful signal that blocks all smaller signals.
Also he has to be licensed so that if someone abuses the president using that WiFi, the police will know it wasn't him but probably one of his customers. Part of the licensing process is to ensure that he can control how that WiFi is used.
This is just industry regulation and not mtn trying to prevent small people from coming into the market.
