@@scarzchi I get exactly what you are saying and can understand that, yep Bus was in wrong, started to move lanes, Biker beeped, bus stopped his maneuver and no one was hurt or even remotely hurt. I am not excusing the driver of the bus but this was a drama queen reaction to a minor infraction, there was no close call or significant danger to the biker, so my opinion is that his reaction was way over the top and uncalled for. Are you saying that anyone who doesn't use their mirrors correctly at all times should loose their license?? There wouldn't be a driver left on the road then, either car or bike.
Been watching these since I was a teenager. The only thing I have realised now that I ride too is that protect yourself at all times. Nothing else really matters. You can crib cry complain fight scream etc but none of that will matter if you are in the hospital and your bike is totalled. Protect yourself. And keep in mind when riding that the decisions you make while riding effects you and more importantly your family. So next time you plan on doing something stupid think of them. That’s all.

I actually watched these for years before I got a motorcycle, and I feel like they gave me a sixth sense when I finally got one. I looked for things that happened in these videos, and saw them long before I could put myself in harms way. Everyone who rides should watch these

5:00 Filtering at 90+ mph at night is basically a death wish
No early Christmas for us, that semi was too far over.
There is a reason the law says filtering (and splitting where its legal) should never be more than 15kph faster than the traffic around you.
I see these videos far too often if you are breaking the speed limit at night lane splitting traveling three times the speed of the traffic around you and you almost die its entirely your fault.

Thanks for helping the girls with the flat battery. I have been in that situation once and had no one with me and no one to help. I put a message up on FB and luckily a friend came with jump leads and helped me but if it wasn’t for her I would have been fecked. 40 miles away from home in a dark empty car park 11pm at night and it was winter in Scotland so below zero. So I know how it feels so again thanks as a women I really commend you for helping them ! X

Maybe the cops reaction was 100% great, but then again so wasn't Frankie's. These situations are frustrating as hell, but ultimately it rarely happens on purpose. Hope they all learned from it and can be glad they all walked away unharmed
@Primaul it's not what the officer really meant that it didn't matter if he got hit, the point was the biker needed to chill things like that happen all the time but it's not worth screaming at someone for making a mistake. and on top of that a school bus driver that has to drive kids that might be making a lot of noise isn't maybe the easiest thing driving in NYC

Second gauging the speed of an approaching motorcycle is difficult to do because of its shape and size.

Third, while yes, it is the responsibility of the person to make sure its safe before proceeding, as above, they are expecting people to be moving at NORMAL SPEEDS.
Speeding through an intersection, especially at what is at least doubt the posted speed limit, is in no way reasonable to expect the person to anticipate that.

Instead of just proceeding to turn left, he went out of his way to chase down the car and also looked like at the end he was going to follow them onto a highway. I see nothing wrong with what the car did anyway. Maybe it’s against the law in the US, if it is then fair enough the car shouldn’t have done it, but where I’m from it’s perfectly legal and even advised to improve traffic flow (if the space is there to make the maneuver) weather the car was in the right or wrong tho, doesn’t justify chasing him down like that.

In 2013 I was in Bejing, Xining Mongolia and far eastern Tibet. The traffic is intense to put it mildly. Motorcycle riders routinely avoid crashes with 4 wheel drivers. What impressed me most was how professional those riders are. No road rage, shouting, flipping off, just carry on. It occurred to me how dangerous it is to get angry, it causes severe distraction to ones surroundings. It's a wonder no one gets hit while road raging.
Moto J gave a great video on how *not* to connect jumper cables and jump start a car. If you want to do it right do this instead:
1) Make sure both cars are off.
2) Attach the positive cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery.
3) Attach the other end of the positive cable to the positive terminal of the good battery.
4) Attach the negative cable to the negative terminal of the good battery.
5) Attach the other end of the negative cable to a non-painted metal surface on the car that has the dead battery.
6) Start the car with the good battery.
7) After a few minutes try starting the car with the dead battery.
Don't do what Moto J did!
I learned 2) and 3) the other way around but that probably doesn't matter ;)

I've never seen it happen, but many mechanics have told me to do this on any vehicle made after 2002.

When jump starting a car:
1. put the positive on the positive connection on helping car first, then the car that doesnt start.
2. Put the Negative on the battery of the helping car. And then the negative on the CHASSI for the car that doesn't start or a good ground point that isn't over the battery or too near.
If you put the negative directly on the battery of the car that doesnt start it can ignite gases from the dead battery thats venting.
Just a tip. Having a battery blow up in your face is something you never wish to experience. :)
It is not only for the sake of shorting out the battery as some suggested in the comment section. Or having "sparks" and people are being too afraid. It's for this exact reason when a battery is drained it starts to vent gases that's highly explosive that is when you don't want a spark near. And is the sole reason you should never connect directly to the battery, Because a battery can allways be easily replaced but you can't. Be safe out there.

Whenever there's white on battery terminals, clean it then check the connection, not always a replacement issue, clean it first
Came here to say this. Also clean them off and put some Vaseline or something on the terminal posts to prevent future corrosion.
And he connected those cables the wrong way. Red on dead on the positive head. Red on live getting a positive vibe. Black on live you’re about to drive. Black on nut get out of this rut. Then remove in reverse order when jumped.

Yeah I agree with you both that officer was in the wrong he didn’t care about the biker safety he was just yelling at him that there was kids on that bus but that bus cut the biker off and that police officer knows it but he doesn’t want to admit that he was wrong that police officer said that it doesn’t matter if the bus cut him off what would happen if the bus hit the biker and the biker died that would be the on the police officer hands that he accused the biker of road rage and that bus driver would spend the rest of her life in prison for killing that biker because she cut him off and he was killed and the biker family would sue that police officer department for his actions that he would say that it was the biker fault that he was got hit and killed
@@baileysundstrom4167 to be fair: I think what the officer actually was concerned about was that the biker kept riding next to the bus, waving at the bus driver and trying to confront him after the incident, which - although very understandable from the bikers point of view - probably wasn't the right way to react to such a situation. That the police officer himself then ended up having just another uneccessary and distracting altercation with the biker while driving didn't help either. 🙄
