    I was born there 26 days after the flood (February 1953) , my parents often talked about it , then in 1957 we went to the United States to live , many people were invited to come to America after this terrible Tragedy

    Hans Brinker is a myth. It's a story made up by a women who never even visited Holland. Her neighbors were Dutch immigrants though & they told her stories of the homeland. So she wrote a book based on those stories. I came across an article about this last week while researching my ancestors.

      Agree. Hans Brinker is a sweet book about a Dutch little boy who skates on frozen canals.
