Still can not believe they didn't call the sequel, "...Now You Don't"
Missed opportunity
“Cannot” is one word.
There’s no comma before a title.
That woud imply the second movie had any thought behind it.
still mad to this day
@@solsavior5032 Your comment implies the first movie had any thought behind it too.
I don’t care what anyone says, these movies are just so much pure, condensed fun
agreed.
Loved the first movie. Second movie suffered a bit from the cast change, and was disappointing they never delved deeper into the secret society subplot that they forgot about
For sure. 😊
I mean they have a lot of bullshit in it, but use the same trick as the characters: Serving the bullshit so convincingly that you don't ask twice while watching.
of course, if you turn off your brain completely
Not giving much weight to Woody's comments about "daddy issues" and then catching it on the rewatch after knowing how everything plays out was a nice subtlety.
The brother and manager comment from Ruffalo also was a nice addition. Don't realize the plan until after seeing the second movie, after all.
Woody has his own daddy issues
And people say the plot twist was under-foreshadowed... They're just mad they didn't see it coming.

That key in the sealed soda can is the most blatant use of actual magic.
He knew there would be a key in the soda, they prepared everything ahead of time.
the fact that it actually fell out and didnt get stuck on the tiny opening is the real magic honestly
@@loisinonepiece5373
They mean when the can was turned upside down and the soda was poured out. The key would have/should have gotten stuck vs just falling out.
@@monk7527Spoken like someone with experience. Have you dropped a pick in an acoustic guitar before?
The key was put in by Mark When we started to drink it before the interrogation
I love how hollywood makes Interpol a European FBI, when it's pretty much just an international communication agency for police.

Are we talking about misdirection magic or real magic?
Love how the Interpol agent was just enjoying every second of it
I think all 3 of them were actually enjoying everything
6:06 You can actually see Atlas putting Rhodes real phone in his pocket, even if you can’t see the phone, you can see him stick his hand in his pocket. Nice attention to detail since later on we see this scene again but the phone is more noticeable.
And then there's just actual magic with a key in a sealed soda can, either those guys are actual magicians or they have friends in Interpol, FBI and can predict future
You can also see how he picks up the phone with his right hand but gives it back with his left.
Agreed because the 2 movies are very realistic and put a lot of effort on logic and real phisicsl and details.
@@XIplupIX Your sarcasm makes it seem like you don't believe me even though you can clearly see Atlas have his hand in his pocket all because I complimented some attention to detail for a movie I watched just for the spectacle of the idea of magician thieves and not the documentary style of hyper realism explains every nuance of real world magic.
Mark Ruffalo performance was godly. The way he pretends all of this is bullshit
When your dad was a master , you loved your life being an a-hole. You know Its Bullshit.
Goddammit now the French guy will dance

its mark ruffalo, chances are he didnt actually know that he was supposed to know :D
He was part of the group

You’re right. His dad did have issues with water.
"Too many French people in one room!"

You have no idea what that man is going through. Like i cant even right now. How could you say something like this. UGhh
“Something wrong with that soda, Miss?” 😅
The way he says it and the look on his face cracks me up. Hilarious how he directs her to the can.
the amount of foreshadowing is crazy in this scene, idk if they alr planned the second movie at this point (they reference woody's brother, as well as hint at mark ruffalo's character's dad's death)
They probably just used the first film as a basis for the seconds plot points.
they were already 7 steps ahead of us xD
I never imagined Lex Luthor beating the Hulk...
I never imagine Hulk manipulate Lex Luthor either.
I mean he basically beat superman as well and superman is arguably stronger than the hulk.
We don't speak of Lux Lethor.....
Carnage beating the Hulk too?
Coincidentally enough fun fact, Mark Ruffalo was the director Louis Leterrier's first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in 2008's The Incredible Hulk.
Most magic part about this is that interpol doesnt have agents that go and make arrests
What's your jurisdiction? -Earth.
Tinfoil hat theory, Interpol is an international CIA and their vague and contradictory operating mandate outside of "We dont make arrests like police" is intentional. I just looked up as much as I could on them, but including Europols own website, when looking up information between the difference between Interpol and Europol, you get the impression Europol is what Interpol is described to be and Interpol is closer to the CIA or Mi6. My heads spinning because some sites give what Europol actually is as the description for what Interpol is and others make it seem like they are an International FBI but without arresting authority. Tinfoil hat says this is intentionally confusing because they are actually far more internationally entrenched and influential but simply lack law enforcement authority, like the CIA, and the intend confusion helps cover the reality of the organization. A straight forward description of this org seems impossible and every LEO org and country seems to have their own interpretation of what Interpol is other than not being an arresting police force.
She wasn't there to make an arrest, she said it herself, she was there to report on the investigation.
@@2centschange regardless they don’t have field agents to begin with they are just a bunch of people that coordinate the efforts of different national police’s. They are basically an information database to assist other agencies.
The FBI in the USA doesn't either. They coop local police to do the actual execution of warrants and such.
Woody Harrelson is a treasure 😂
I had a teacher who looked exactly like woody Harrelson will in a few years
And Mark Ruffalo as well
FUN FACT: Woody Harleson's dad was a real life hit man.

Her hair was in a bun at the beginning and then in the interrogation room she had her hair in a ponytail.

In case someone doesn't already know it, it's called a continuity error. It's fun when you catch them. When making a movie, they actually hire someone whose whole job it is to prevent errors like this. But they still happen.
@@tequilacollins nah it was definitely magic
I'm sure through moving around room to room at some point she probably released her hair and then made a ponytail when she got to that Interrogation room.... also same way we don't see them eat breakfast, lunch and diner, or go to the restrooms, etc
There was quite a bit of time between those two scenes. He did an entire interview with the guy, and those usually take a while.

I feel bad for the agent that had to deal with Woody Harrison's character. My god I can't only imagine that coming out at the work place.
I like how at 4:45 that little bit about the daddy issues then later you get to see what was meant by it in his back story to see he actually can read people even the master magician that got them all together here.
The only consensus surrounding Interpol I can find is that they are not an arresting police force. Every LEO organization and country seems to have a unique variation description of what Interpol is outside of the fact formerly just mentioned, which range from descriptions of what Europol is to what the UN Police are, all the way to conduct closer seen in organizations like the CIA, Mi6, CSIS or ASIS. Very suspicious how large the spectrum is and how vague specific information about them depending on the source is.

Hypnosis doesn't work that way. A person has to be willing to be hypnotized.
There are methods of hypnosis that don't need the consent of the victim. Sadly, from where I live, most of the time it's the swindlers that use these methods.
willing doesn't mean giving rational consent. it just means to be willing.
you just need to be ready to believe in any kind of magic - even just a doubt could suffice - and ready to "play" for it to work
A hypnotist told me once that even if he can hypnotize you, he still can't make you do something you wouldn't normally do, like rob a bank or whatever.
@@sitcomchristian6886 true, but IMO if you still did that thing suggested to you under hypnosis even if you don't do it in a normal mind state, that means you either subconsciously want to do it or the hypnosis is just so strong that it nears the brink of mind control
