It's very kind of you, but let me put up a different perspective. It's not exactly free, because you are the product.
When you open CZcams, you see a bunch of ads. Because you saw a bunch of ads, those ad companies pay youtube some amount. Now, when you watch Ranveer's videos, CZcams acknowledges that you logged into youtube to watch Ranveer (due to which they earned that ad money), so youtube shares a fraction of their ad revenue with Ranveer. So in the end, both youtube and ranveer got paid because you watched this video.
Now, you may think that it's a win win situation, you don't even remember what ads you saw. However, science has proven countless times that even though you do not consciously see/read the ads, their mere presence in your peripheral vision has tremendous impact. So next time you go to a mall and you feel like buying a LeVi jeans particularly than any other brand, you can thank youtube / other advertising platforms for this conditioning.
So to summerize, you watch youtube -> Brands pay youtube -> youtube pays Ranveer -> you end up buying brand's products because of conditioning. Hence, this knowledge wasn't exactly free :), you indirectly will pay these brands.
