From the Economy to Culture, Korea-Czech Relations as Seen by Nuri
Korea and the Czech Republic established diplomatic relations on March 22, 1990. The two countries, which have become increasingly close over the past 30 years, continued exchanges and cooperation even during COVID-19. The volume of trade between the two countries, which has been on the rise since the establishment of diplomatic ties, exceeded $4 billion for the first time in 2021. In March 2023, direct flights between Incheon and Prague, which had been suspended due to COVID-19, resumed. Diplomat Talks - Nuri's Day of Diplomacy shows Nuri’s on-the-ground coverage of diplomacy, and how Korea and other countries are engaging with each other. This week, Nuri meets Czech Ambassador to Korea, Ivan Jančarek, and looks into the history and culture as well as exchanges between the Czech Republic, a "strategic partner” to Korea.
