What people don't realize about unrealized gains in large amount of stocks is that the act of unloading a decent chunk of it will drive the stock down, and therefore his net worth. He would not be able to sell his entire allotment of stock at current market value.

If a stock is really valuable, people organize liquidation strategies to sell off large amounts of the stock for the highest price. The reason Elon can't do this has nothing to do with what you've said. It's because Tesla stock is highly overinflated in the first place. Because Elon's wealth is tied to Tesla stock, as being about 20% of the market cap. And Tesla stock is very volatile. So the top graph should have been jittering a lot. SpaceX's valuation is estimated at around 100B. But since it's privately held, it's hard to tell. Elon owns I think 51%.

How did they settle their loan with interest in one go and didn't pay it over the long term. There were 3 entrepreneurs that started Tesla. The Tesla company was going under and Musk put his own money from the selling paypal into Tesla. Have you even watched the interview of the one other business owner speaking about their business venture with the 3 of them together? He said Musk brought Tesla to greater heights than what they could and personally put in huge amounts of finance. He has also put his own finances into SpaceX. All his money was tied into two main company with tied stocks. Why? Because he put all his cash into them. Makes sense doesn't it? Now that both Tesla and SpaceX are both financially profitable he is selling those shares to have personal physical capital. SpaceX is the only reliable rocket company out there that Nasa trusts. Why? Because statistically it shows so. Rather find out before you speak. Mind blowing how people assume and make up their own versions then still believe themselves.

My comment about teslas company profits were outdated actually, about a good year ago the company started making profit, only after 14 years of just burning investors money. If his projections would have been reasonable/true, he would have gone to Mars 7 years go, Tesla would have sold a million cars in 2017 and we would alreasy travel with hyperloop and through dollar store subway (boring company) )

Well, actually, He surpassed Bezos for a moment before march 2021, then went back to second place, then stock price rose again, and became 1st again. The top graph is not accurate. Because Elon's wealth is tied to Tesla stock, as being about 20% of the market cap. And Tesla stock is very volatile. So the top graph should have been jittering a lot.
SpaceX's valuation is estimated at around 100B. But since it's privately held, it's hard to tell. Elon owns I think 51%.
Think about the wealth of the ENTIRE world that these four men control.

I am one of those that likes that they are so rich, because without them, a lot of people would be without a job, and also for all the things they do and have done and achieved, not only for themselves, but for the people around the world, and also I am an entrepreneur myself and knows about many of the risks they have taken for making their businesses.

I wasn't completely clear about this in my last comment but I didn't mean 50 million as investment but purely for personal use. A very very small amount of people buy 20 million dollar mansions and 80 million dollar yachts, while millions of others are barely making enough money to not starve and die, if even. Is this really the world we want to live in?
