Idina Menzel is a queen, 100% my favorite Broadway Actress, I've only seen/heard one other person (Donna Vivino) do Elphaba better than her...Maureen however? No one even comes close to Idina! just my opinion 🤗🤗❤️

Sorry, I just don't see Idina's appeal. I think she's a decent performer in certain roles, but she just doesn't do it for me here. When I was younger, I was a big fan mainly due to her work in Rent and Wicked. But there's not a single role she's played that someone else hasn't done much better, and that includes Maureen and Elphaba. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she's been so successful, I just don't quite understand it.
Arlo I think it’s because of her presence and how she really puts herself into the role and makes it something so unique. I do think that some people have done better than her but that’s just personal preference. But no matter what she always stands out in the role🙂
her best role is Kate from Andrew lippa's wild party. i agree with what you said about the fact that someone always plays her roles better. thats not the case in that show. look up "idina menzel life of the party"
I think it's because she has an appeal that's interesting... Like it's that whole 'will she fail' kinda thing.. Like you watch just to see how she'll do. When she's great... She's magic and when she's not it's really not.
Idina is the perfect example of someone who just has that "it" factor. Yes, there are others who may be able to technically sing better, and others who may make stronger acting choices, but there's just something about Idina. When she's on stage, you can't take your eyes off of her. That's what makes a star.
Everything is off, there´s even a missing girl at the runway at 4:39. The one in red has to come back to replace her. And Idina is horrible in this. If I had paid for this ticket I would have been really pissed.

That might be why she only did this role for about 4 months or so. Considering that this show was on for 4 1/2 yrs, that's pretty short.
