The devs:Well, Pikachu is the mascot and it's not as powerful as Glaceon so we have to buff the better build.

Pikachu really got prioritized for buffs instead of Pokemon like Machamp
And they HAD to touch the sure-hit only build, it was fine by all accounts----every nerf and buff tier list I've seen (both Cris and Spragels' videos) said it was balanced.
Uhm... You dimwits overlooking it's pokeday and that's Pikachu.
I miss the days when Machamp was playable.
As someone who just started a new account. And only have Pikachu as my mage option in that account. It was struggling a lot. I would barely get 50K damage after a full match. It's supposed to be an attacker. So, it definitely needed some help. Not to mention, many people start with Pika. Unlike machamp, which you would only have, if you bought it with coins.
machamp is a good pokemon atm it's pretty balanced LOL

I was dropped from master 1600 to ultra 3 and the first match i was paired up with a Mewtwo and we lost very badly 🙂
He never even came to help just farmed and didn't even get to level 13

Jake, you NEED to try out Scizor with the muscle band buff.
Resonant guard, muscle, razor.
I just hit masters in 23 games, 22 of which were scizor. 65% overall wr, 68% with scizor.
The muscle band change is a huge buff to scizor.

@@m1dn1ghtqt Yeah. The way items like muscle band work was changed. Basically, scizor now procs items like mb, charging charm and rapid fire scarf with both technician hits instead of just one.
So any mon that attacks fast or attacks multiple times got buffed.
(Scizor, Buzzwole, Azu(play rough procs mb 3x), dragapult, cinder, etc)
@andrewgood7586 I wanna try scizor! It's been bad forever unite basically forgot it existed despite having a battle pass got no bp buffs
@@m1dn1ghtqt Its been good ever since resonant guard came out. This just made it better. Its hard to directly buff scizor without completely breaking it, so theyve been using items to do it.
Ive had positive win rates with it since resonant guard though.

The nuke build is better. Volt tackle thunder. No accidental mistakes possible like your first unite in this game. I've seen it take down even a mirror level 14 Aegislash. Give it a level advantage and it's absolutely unstoppable. Slept on pokemon right now, just so frail that it easily can get stopped from scaling up

@@jpraise6771 it's fine, it is annoying how the meta is inconsistent and i'm glad Pikachu is a good answer to most of it now.
My issue is that i love thunder/thunderbolt way more and it's sad how it never seems to be the better build, and now a lot of people see it as griefing because balltackle is better and anti-meta.

I've noticed this too. My auto attacks sound quiet compared to other things going on inside a match.

My theory is that the mage build was too safe and good, but not OP so it didn't need a nerf. So they buffed the other build instead.
After all, when Pikachu's team is behind, Electro Ball did nothing really, compared to the safe cc from the other build, but now it's a bit better. And a poorly timed Volt Tackle is the end for Pika, going all in so close to the enemy all-rounders.

Ok.. for anyone who doesn't get it. Pikachu is the staple character of pokemon. But usually when you run into master ranked pika players they only do 50-65k damage. No matter the build pika was just never that character I'm the game you could run to and be a difference maker. I've only seen 1 player in ranked ever do 100k with pika and a clefable was healing tf out of him to keep it in fights
The mewtwos are beyond cringe man.... The rescue hood on your team was cooking for sure
The almost penta was not as good as 7:43
Timi literally cannot help itself when it comes to buffing point and click moves. If they were going to buff a Pika build, at least buff the one that requires some skill.

Never understood why Pikachu is an attacker first place the way it did damage before was alright for supporter role especially always delivers paralyze .then again this game never made since to begin with.
They should nerf cramorant hes way too busted (just got hired at timi)
Honestly been playing Dragonite and he feels so much weaker this season already…
Pika by itself isn't exactly OP or anything but this build feels so degenerate to play against. You get stunned for a while, slowed, then by the time the slow wears off, he's ready to do it all over again. All from range with two point-and-click abilities. And if you do somehow manage to get close, Pika just uses his unite move and either KO's you or runs away. Then it's back up again for the next fight, because it has such a low cooldown.
I have a solution why don't we go to play store and give them negative ratings??? Then they automatically starts to listening our queries 😐

Pikachu buffs are fun and all but ranked has never been more depressingly boring. Every team is Miraidon and Mewtwo and Zacian. 😊

Last season was very enjoyable (mostly) Glaceon and Espeon can suck gorilla balls.

Idk if I have it in me to play with this brain dead player base another season. In most matches post masters if we lose I can take the L no problem but pre masters matches are like being teamed with 4 3rd graders. I can’t do this another season.
