Need Help : if I created a dynamic 13 month rolling filter by creating calculated field datetrunc and parameter on date. How can i trigger another filter which can give me value (comment for that month) of selected month which i am rolling in for. Cause its messing up the current month value as as its still taking up the value (comment for that month) and showing for all 13 month months.

Create a parameter called Select Month; this parameter controls what the Marks Card label shows on the visualization
• In this example, I selected February in the parameter, therefore only Sales values are shown in the visualization for February; if I pick January for example, then only January sales will be labeled on the line chart ..kindly tell me how to do this

Hi Sir, Very neat and clear explanation. I have a question sir, asked by one interviewer to me.
"We have 2 parameters, one is 'start date' and one is 'end date'. Once if I selected start date and end date, then I have to get the data (between these dates) of current year's and as well as the last year's data in between the dates entered in parameters".
Will you plz clear this..

It very simple if you can bring the selected date from Start date and end date. By adding " -1" in Year part of the output result to get last year data in the Calculation.

How do you plan to identify the data in the current year? If you have a way to do that then yes we can get YTD data

I only show last 12 months no matter which month I choose.

Did you use the Parameter as explained? Provide the Tableau public link of the workbook. Will look into it
