I have watched quite a few of these compilations and the sheer quality of talent coming from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Poland, Germany etc is amazing. What impresses me most is that they concentrate on intonation, diction, tone, breathing, light & shade and presence. You should check out the metal bands out of Albania/Kosovo. The are kickass for real. Communism finally ended n 1992, then there was war. So no metal anything til the 2000's. These guitar players from this area are total beasts! Troja, Morfina, Centaur, Diosa & DioDemajust to name a few.
