- Oliver Queen tries to take down Holden but he wasn't the only one there trying to kill him. A sniper kills Holden then shots Oliver in the shoulder. The bullet turns out to be laced with poison almost killing Queen.

This is when he’s in his peak. He was in shape, careless, and ready to fight.
I wouldn't say careless I would say switched on. He was focused. The opposite of careless. Show lost all of that focus after the first season.
Even though the choreography was worse, I'd say his peak was in season 3. After that it's like they completely ignored that he beat Ra's Al Ghul, even though Ra's wasn't trying completely.

@@panchovilla7580 I'd agree with you there, I really enjoy the "semi-realism" of S1, but they just started to get a bit silly in S2, shame, I watched up until S5 of Arrow but I gave up after halfway

@@michaelfive0329 They never did. And that's why the show failed. Gave up everything good they did and decided to go the romance soap opera route to appease teenage girls.
I really liked it too. But they only did it because at the time nobody knew his secret so the only way they could narrate the shows with a voiceover.
Cw shows generally have good seasons when they start but go down hill. It goes with Arrow, flash, supergirl (idk I never watched it I just hear it from ppl) ans idk about legends I haven’t watched it in a while

The first and second season was definitely the best. I liked it when he had to actually maneuver around his family and friends to do what he does! Like having to ditch Diggle, leaving parties without any explanation, or people getting angry with him for not being emotionally there. Now everyone knows and he barely does any thinking for himself, and it almost seems as if he exists JUST to create drama. Oh, whats this? Oliver decided to _______? Lets get angry that he decided to do what he thought best! Hell, I'm pretty sure in the later seasons, we only saw him as the arrow like three times!
*cough* season 6. Oliver was right the whole damn season.
Scenes like this make me feel like the show dumbed down oliver when Felicity and Digg joined the team. He used to be able to knock the shit out of 20 guys on his own without breaking a sweat. Now, he needs a whole damn army.
Also, he clearly knows how to do things himself like testing for poison and searching FBI databases. It's like he's incapable of doing those things now. Really irritating how the show treats Oliver like an idiot.
I think the directors really listen to your input, because they added MORE people to the arrow team! Because thats 100% necessary. Fuck arrow

Man what happened to this show? It has such a different feel to it now. Tbh, I think Season 5 is great and has done a lot of things right, but there's just something about how the show used to be. It used to be realistic, like the shit that happened could actually happen in real life. Once it expanded with the Flash and the concept of Meta-Humans, time travel, and aliens, it became completely different. Now, I love the Flash and Supergirl and Legends, but I miss the old Arrow.
John Wilson right now, it's all the overly advanced tech, made by Curtis and Felcity. All those damn ball thing, then there's Canary , the team is huge, has costumes and *Oliver's a mayor*
Yeah I know. Again, I love what they're doing with it. Season 5 was simply beautiful! I'm just pointing out that it's an overall different feel from the first two seasons.

Realistic! A bullet coated with curare does not give you time to go home, undress, take a shower, sew an open wound and then wear clothes before you feel the curare effect.
I think t's weird how they just randomly stopped with the inner dialogue...
Anyone else find it funny that the herb oliver has from the island only appears in season one, and not again aside for one time in a season 2 flashback. Like, if if was an all healing medication, I'm sure it would have it's uses throughout all seasons

Say what you want about the CW shows, they've always had great easter eggs. From basic ones to the casual reader, to hidden and cryptic ones to the veterans and enthusiasts.
God this was just such a great show back then.
Maybe this is just me but I liked how Oliver would narrate stuff in early season 1. I wish they had kept that up

Arrow is a fine example of why DC is failing and Marvel is winning. Arrow perhaps is one of the few episode where the graph of a HERO has gone down drastically. Earlier he used to do everything by himself Fight, kill, Database research, sewing his own wound etc. With Felicity and Diggle he got slow, rusty and IDIOT.

The best thing about green arrow that Batman doesn't have is realistic pain tolerance. Even for the animated version he's light-hearted and makes weird jokes but is still tough. It's them damn woods 🧐😂

@@jayjones3691 But the writting is too less realistic. Many times bullet penetration could've killed the character, or times where he just dodges all of the AR bullets while in the open. If say he has superpower to master his senses, it would have been more understandable
