@@evanjackson633 he had 4 for 48 on ward 1st half. 3 for 28 2nd half, not counting the last play catch/lateral. That’s 7 for 76 on Ward full game. One of Diontae’s drops was a 32 yarder.

@@evanjackson633 you still get graded negatively for allowing completions in your zone though, like look at PFF. Ward just isn’t a zone corner, but that doesn’t mean those catches aren’t on ward.
Edit: There’s a reason a guy like Tre’Davious White still has yards allowed in coverage when Leslie Frazier runs a base zone defense. But it’s also why you can see how White is one of the best in zone

They battled and Denzel Ward edged it. Johnson 8 rec for 84 yards 10.5 yard average. He didn’t cook Ward all game. He had 3 drops and who cares, it’s part of the game. I don’t go back looking at the receiver stats asking how many drops did he have. I just go by the numbers. I talk real ball check my page out

*As former Cornerback* , 2:57 Refs called PI on Ward for holding ok, but *if you look at the slow motion you can see Johnson bring his left hand up to push Ward past him to get open* ,he tried to dig in the ground so hard to sell it, he fell down, had he stayed up, it would be great coverage by Ward because they both would've transitioned and change direction, *Wards holds him because he feels Johnson holding to push him* it's all in the details.
*Had Ward not been in that opposition, Johnson wouldve push Ward passed him and gotten open* I guarantee you and *Furthermore, The Refs would not have called Offensive PI because it would looked as if Johnson made a good move or cut to get open but instead pushes Ward on back, wraps him to get open* it's small details like this people dont know.
