For the cars that weren’t station wagons, I have never read in any literature that you could get the rear air conditioning unit by itself. You always had to have the front one, and then the dual air conditioning option includes the rear unit.

I could have sworn that the Slant Sixes were out by then. I do like those spin on, disposable oil filter! I'm not sure that the concept will catch on.... 😁😜

Last year for the old flathead. 1960 saw the introduction of the Slant 6.

'59 was the last year for the flathead on cars.
It stuck around till '68 in some medium-duty truck lines.
