Did something like this years back with rings of brownie and soft-baked chocolate chip cookie with raspberry jam to hold it together and chocolate ganache. Wasn't as awesome or pretty as this (only 2 layers and 2 rings shaped like a doughnut), but technique was pretty similar. Can't wait to give it a try, thanks for sharing this stunning cake!
Writing 'Birthday Cake' in black icing on this would make it perfect for the occasion, and the reveal when the birthday person cuts out a slice would be awesome :D

I know you are tired of people telling you how nice your channel is. But just one more time. You have a GREAT channel. I dont watch to many channels. Other than yours and Gretchen's Bakery and cakes stepbystep I dont see why anyone would need to watch any other baking channels.
Me and my sis always watch your videos in the same time either on our tablets or phone but I always watch it on my tablet because I can like,subscribe,and comment. I can also watch you cook your delicious cakes and it looks a lot more bigger. Love your cakes.
I made this the other day, it turned out awesome. I didn't have a 6" pan, so I used 9" pans. I used two cake mixes, and split each one into three layers. The layers were thin (but not too thin), but it turned out great!! Would recommend!
synarps hey did you make two batches of the buttercream too? so the buttercream recipe twice? im unsure bc it means 850g of sugar twice?? which sounds like a lot of buttercream to me!
I would cover the whole cake heavily in rainbow sprinkles I love that cake I'm going to have to try it thank you I don't know if I have that many rainbow sprinkles lol
I always wondered how to make a perfectly smooth-looking cake. I tried and tried with just my off-set spatula and I could never get it perfectly smooth. Thank you so much for that little tip, it helped a lot! :)

I absolutely LOVE this! You wouldn't think that the inside of the cake will have a checkerboard pattern in the inside from the way it was done.
