@@andronfugett6416There is a huge difference, but the jury didn't get to pick her charges. Considering they could ONLY decide guilt of manslaughter, they got the verdict correct. Unlike some other cases that have come from FL.

If I was afraid of the person, for some reason, and they were banging on my door for me to come outside. I would call the police to intervene. And oh wait...she DID call the police. She just decided not to wait for them. She decided to calmly go get her gun, come back and shoot through the door. She could have shot anyone - the child, the police who may have arrived. There is no way for her defense party to convince any right minded person that she was justified to blindly shoot through a locked door. Ms. Owens was not a sumo wrestler. She was a normal woman, not a muscled man. She could not have knocked down that door. She gave no indication she was trying to get IN. She was telling the woman to come out. But her defense keeps ignoring that fact. I'm glad the jury saw through the lies.

Sadly there are NO WINNERS HERE. Just lives destroyed over NONSENSE! Which is usually the case when it comes to Murder and Manslaughter. My heart bleeds for the kids. Our county jail never turns your rooms lights off . Prison in not sure but it soes seem that prison is a little better bc ppl have jobs and classes and things that they must get sleep and get thepugh a day so its seems most would be alot quiter... I feel so bad for AJs kids i pray they have a good support aystem around them my heartbreaks for them ... I hope this person graps what she took from them over petty bs...

This older lady was shaking, terrified, wirh mirrors and pictures shaking because of the victim's pounding. I am sure that the deceased lady was the lovely, caring, gentle person that her family will no doubt tearfully portray. But I also have no doubt that that was not the person that the accused knew and heard shouting obscenities and pounding on her door.

😭😭😭 yall people are ridiculous she's a grown woman and she yelled at them kids and broke their tablet and said who knows what nasty words to them so if your gonna yell at someone's kids and their mother wants to have a conversation with you about the way you just talked to her children answer that door and have that conversation and understand she had a right to be mad who knows what that white woman said to them kids . You bold enough to yell at some children be bold enough to answer your door and speak with their mother about why you felt the need to yell at them. She wasn't coming at her in any way or "shouting obscenities" you're making it sound like she went to that ladies door and started acting crazy for no reason. She's a mom and wanted to talk to that lady about why she felt the need to talk to her kids in an aggressive manner and if she yelled or banged on the door do you think she deserved to die for that she had every right to be mad for a stranger yelling at her children and destroying something she paid a lot of money for girl bye

I don't care how hard AJ was banging on that door., if it's deadbolted and on door hinges, that door was secure. If she thought the door would give, she could have #1.announced that she called the police and had a gun, #2. Stood back in her kitchen area with the gun trained in the door and if it was kicked open, , wait to see if AJ made a move to enter before shooting. That's the only lawful way to claim self defense. She got what she deserved.. a guilty verdict

Sadly, the jurors got this one wrong. Clearly anyone with half of a brain, who watched the entire trial and who listened to the 911 call, can hear the fear and trembling in her voice was very real. Obviously in the interrogation video, the elderly who was clearly done being mistreated and disrespected by the kids whose mother taught them to be disrespectful and obviously taught them to disregard other people's privacy and property. If I were the elderly lady who was riddled with multiple injuries and ailments, and had a ignorant and obnoxious neighbor like the "victim" and was in the same position, the pounding on my door with threats being made to me, without ANY hesitation, I would have fired off a round too. Even IF the "victims" claims were true and names were slung back and forth between the adult children and the old lady, they are still only words. SO F-ING WHAT!! Get over it, start teaching your kids to be responsible and respectful!! Yes, I feel for those kids because they lost their absent mother. This situation would have NEVER happened if the mother played a positive role in those children's lives, PERIOD!! The elderly lady was minding her own business and the ignorant mother decided to run over, pound on the door making threats. That was a sad and unfortunate move by her. Her actions put her in the position that was clearly dumb. Now she's gone and her kids have no mother. Only my humble opinion but, the jurors were obviously wrong in this case. That's just the facts.
