Vekoma should give a wood coaster a shot again... this honestly looks pretty solid and it was even during their dark ages. Could only imagine with their immense recent success they may be able to deliver a phenomenal woodie.
I'd like to disagree as well. Apart from being really heavy the original Vekoma trains aren't that bad to sit in. GCI's trains are amazing but these here are just extremely loud, not well cushioned and the sideways restraints are just weird and bulky. Oh and the whole ride is very rough as well
I took this today and I was the only one screaming I was so scared but highly recommend the only scary parts for me is when it goes down. I hate when it goes down but I recommend plugging your ears when it goes upwards very high sound but super fun but if your scared of fast stuff i don’t recommend it but if you want to then do it.
Im probably one of the few people in this comment section who has ridden this ride, and Im probably one of the few overall who likes it. Like its shaky and rough but not really in an uncomfortable way. Like its just enough to make the ride feel crazy and out of control and cause spikes in forces without being uncomfortable.
Great layout and pacing but too bumpy these days despite some refurbishment here and there. This is an absolutely perfect candidate for Gravity Group pre cut track.
Adding a train with single axle cars to a track that previously ran trains with double axle cars seems to be a failure every time it's tried. It also seems like the super light weight of the timberliners only makes matters worse...just comforming to every imperfection the previous trains made. The way to do it correctly appears to be a complete retrack like on GhostRider
Hey Taylor or Sarah (whoever is reading this comment), do Visa giftcards work on Cameo? I'm wanting to send you guys my top 10 to roast, and I'm going to use a visa giftcard later for Cameo, does it work?
How come I see so many POVs of american rollercoasters with plenty of empty spot on the trains?!?!?! In my local themepark (the one you use in your outro) They always try to fill up every single train... I mean, maybe the lines are longer but I think it should be done like that out of respect for the environment.
@@CoasterStudios well, this was just one in video in which to make the comment hahaha, but I've seen so many with trains half empty hehe maybe it is a biased perception ;)
I think people who shoot POV's don't want their view obstructed by guests, so if the option is ever available to do it with an empty train, that's obviously better for capturing the ride experience.
I think Grand National is a really smooth woodie 2nd to the back on the maroon train always provides a great experience with the strongest airtime in the UK and good laterals
It is rather disappointing for how big the drops are and how cool the layout looks. It doesn't really eject you from your seat except for maybe an occasional jolt
@@Spike-sk7ql It's been almost a year since I rode it, but I remember there barely being floater. The hills aren't that smooth so sometimes on them you'd get a jolt of call it ejector, but it's more like a shake than really airtime. Maybe all the way in the back or front you'll get more but it's worse airtime than on any GCI I've ridden in Europe. And it shuffles violently side to side in every valley or turn. For me, it wasn't worth reriding. Also Tusenfryd has terrible operations, like one train in this en 5 min dispatches

Love how they used a metal braver on some of the higher stressed turns to keep the track together. A very pleasing look
Gravity Group always has the best trains for wooden coasters. Anything else on a Vekoma woodie like this would make it bad probably.
For sure. Look at all those freakin nuts and bolts to inspect though. That's absurd hahah. I guess some may be rivets....
Nah they shuffle like crazy… just look what these train did to Tonnerre 2 Zeus… Two years since the retrack and it’s super duper rough now
@@Sauci55on Was it the trains that did that though? I notice Gravity Groups in general are smoother and much more comfortable.
GCI Millenium Flyer's are better imo

that looks like a GCI style coaster built by vekoma with gravity group triains xD
What a beautiful ride

Cool ride looks smooth and very fun.
That looked smooth to you?
nahh bro calls this ride smooth 💀
Lol , you already know its gonna be rough when you see the train bobbing up and down on the lift hill
Nice layout
my favorite wooden coaster don't blame me but it had a crazy good day when i rode it..
Never knew Vekoma made wood rides
They only ever made a few
Would love to ride this have a high tolerance to roughness, curious of all the airtime thundercoaster would have.
I rode it a year ago with kinda normal spring temperatures and there wasn't much airtime at all. Wasn't worth enduring the roughness in my opinion
1:10 ok but what is this
a turn
Um when will you bring back coaster parody’s
Is the airtime on this actually decent? It doesn't look to bad.
Timberliner trains huh? You're in for a rough ride.
I thought someone was bringing all the shopping carts in from the parking lot.
Can you breathe on this rollercoaster or is it too fast, my friend said that she couldn't breathe.
you can easily, your friend is really weak if they couldnt
THIS LOOKS TOO DANGEROUS DONT RISK IT

Thundercoaster looks to rough for me.

Grand national at Blackpool Pleasure beach is miles smoother than this.

I suppose I'm glad Vekoma doesnt really do wooden coasters nowadays. 🤣🙃 This looks...not great.
boy.. ur missing out! 😂 this is a thrilling ride.
Hm. Looks and sounds painful.
