Great music selection, and I'm a big fan of the fact that Nina doesn't feel the need to beat everyone over the head with the kick drum constantly. It makes the times when the kick drops back have much more impact. I wish more DJs learned how to effectively cut the bass and let the mixes breath and live together like that. A track list of this set would be like Christmas!

don't understand why Nina has become such a polarizing figure in the world of techno and house music. I had never heard her live not did I really listen to much of her from recorded mixes before I saw her at the Swedish Into the Valley festival a few months back, but for a very early slot time, she absolutely killed it. And she just oozes charisma (or however you want to describe her behind-the-decks personality). Very entertaining set yet was dark and trippy, and this was early in the day with a bright sun with a sparse crowd (everyone was still en route to the festival site). One of the highlights of the festival for me (and the lineup was absolutely stacked with RA Top 100 DJs -- go look for yourself). That performance proved to me that she has a lot of talent -- now I hope she comes to Florida sometime soon so I can catch her in a proper nightclub setting

This is probably my favorite set I've heard from Nina. No secret that there's a ton of underground hype around her, but she consistently brings forth her talent in crafting a versatile breadth of fluid sets. Even with star status, it's clear she has not let up on deepening her knowledge of electronica. This set sounds quite a bit more mature than her previous sets, from even less than a year ago.
The girl with the cross on her shirt is giving those two guys some looks and they don't even notice..
Impeccable dj session, perfect atmosphere.
loved this set...and if you say, "it's too dark," well yes, it is and that's that and that's why it's amazing.
I just love the way she moves and feels the grooves.

love Nina! As a dj, I'm quite impressed how she was mixing tracks without any concern for their phase. She doesn't even cue most records, but I don't suppose it really matters when a track has no obvious song structure! Also very lucky her left hand turntable didn't skip as the mic cable was hanging on the tonearm weight from 52mins onwards.
