Good morning. All the animals look fantastic. Glad to see things doing so well. I have a full day of gardening ahead of me. Already done with my animal chores until this evening. Hatched a good batch of Mille Fluers eggs and the chicks are doing great. They are a super gorgeous bantam. They sell well and honestly I raise them to eat because they make a nice meaty chicken.
I appreciate all the videos you make. It helps to feel like I am part of a community.

Thanks for identifying this plant for me, Dexter! When I was a child, I met a woman who lived on my cousin’s street, who allowed me to help her feed this plant to her aviary of breeding budgies. She called it ‘chickweed’ but after a lot of research I found that it is not what is commonly known as chickweed, but I was never able to find out what it actually was. I was hoping to add it to my own budgies’ diet, but my cousin lived in another country and soon after the lady moved away, so we were never able to question her further. Thanks for solving a mystery for me!

Yep! When I saw her give it to her budgies, it was also very wilted, which is why I never recognized it growing in the ground. This was more than 30 years ago, so before I was internet savvy.

Hi Sir Dexter! I think its better to quarantine first the birds that you newly bought and observe if it has any diseases, because if one of them has, all birds will get contacted the disease too.

How are you doing Dex? Keeping up on the care, and maintenance of all the animals is paramount even to the farm has a whole,. You are doing pretty well from what i can see! More ostriches would give an over all sense of security, which is good for breeding. My question is this! Every farm has a limit of animals, and fish, how close to the limit are you on the chicken farm, and your other farm as well? Peace!
I will limit the chickens nevause iys so expensive. I will breed more goats.

hi @dexters world, I have been a breeder of parakeets and african lovebirds and cocatails before. I suggest put Hay or dayami for them to make nest. or a very old and dried up branches, they make that as nest also. keeps the egg warmer rather than just small stones inside. just put it on the ground and the male and female will fly down to tear it down and make as makeshift beddings. the best one is dried up branches of malunggay, that i know is very available there at your farm. Just sharing some tips if you have questions just ask. no worries.
