Its a sneeky way in covering up the fact Texas got rid of the 4th amendment in your car with 10 new drivers laws and got rid of the 4th amendment outside your house with the Texas (Show Me) laws. I'm not joking.

@AliceAndWonderland2 well I google search just like you do when looking for information but the police are now allowed to yank you out of your car fof not immediately showing ID you have no right not to be stuffed into a cop car for ID. SB 1551 says anyone who “fails to provide or display the person’s driver’s license on the officer’s request for the license” can be charged with a class C misdemeanor, which is punishable by a $500 fine. Previously, those under arrest could only be prosecuted for providing false identification. A money grab pretty much double the money for all traffic tickets and more.

What are you talking about? There has already been a law that would result you being yanked out of your car ( Tx Transportation Code Section 521.025 ). Also Sec. 38.02. Failure to Identify . Isn't just if you gave false information but u also commits the offense if u intentionally refuses to give his name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has lawfully arrested the person and requested the information.
