Every time a dog does the digging, the block should turn from grass to a dirt block, the same for farmland and dirth path.
It only makes sense.
I feel like there should also be some kind of âpet affection meterâ in the game - to show how connected your pet is to you and how much they love you.
The thing is, the dog texture looks like an official one, including the model, it's really well done!!

@@lourila Reminds me of the Horse Mod that eventually made it into vanilla that was part of a larger animal mob pack, where the horses could be bred to specific super-horses like demon horses, fairy horses, pegasai, undead horses, etc.

A few cool features for the dogs would be have certain breeds able to perform different tasks. So a husky would be able to pull a sled or wagon (which horses should be able to do in Minecraft) bloodhounds could lead you other animals, border collies herd sheep or farm animals to you, maybe even have a breed known for being guard dogs to scare away certain mobs but no attack them. The list is endless and I love it
Iâd love if Mojang updated the vanilla wolf a bunch, like updating its textures, buffing itâs damage and health and increasing its size because right now itâs the size of a medium sized dog while real wolves are the size of small horses

Cats also bring you items, they have to be standing up when you sleep. Foxes also pick stuff up, parrots also dance, wolves scare skeletons, Axolotls attack hostile mobs.

I would love to see more dog types like Labrador retriever or golden retriever, buuldogs, rodvailers, huskys and basicaly bigger dog types. Also, there should be a point where after breeding enough wolves you will get a dog. As a sidenote, more types of wolves like brown, gray, black etc. are esential to actualy breed wolves into dogs.

Pets and animals
Itâd be really cool if there were a diversity of animals for each biome !!
Hereâs a concept: stray dogs can either be spawned naturally in villages or can be bred. Say you have two tamed wolves. If you only had one, and bred it with a wild one, youâd get a tamed wolf offspring. If you breed two wild wolves, you get a wild wolf offspring. If you breed two tamed wolves, you get a domesticated dog.
This sounds like a cool idea!
It's be cool if this came in 1.19 with archeology! They could work like the do in this vid, but they dig into dirt like how the player uses a brush. Although, the fetch mechanic is kinda like the allay so if it did get added itd need to be changed.
Honestly, wolves in Minecraft have been fairly ignored throughout the many updates ever since they were introduced. There's only 1 type and that's the wolf we all know. Cats and parrots have several different breeds/colors. So why not wolves? Sure you can dye their collar, but you can do the same with cats. Wolves, in my opinion, need a few more breeds. Such as the Grey wolf, an arctic wolf, an Alexander Archipelago Wolf(essentially just a black or dark grey wolf), maybe a rust colored wolf.

if this was in game people would make automatic mutton/wool farms using a wild wolf and a sheep spawner and just have their dogs run around and get the loot
also, they need a pets update, including hampsters, dogs, geckos maybe, possibly even raccoons.

- SystemZee's alchemy concept video
- Dye target blocks different color (maybe not since Mojang Studio say only wool and leather dyed)
- Quiver that holds infinite arrows instead of inventory spaces or offhand
- New villager archerer that sells archery items
- New villager alchemist that sells alchemy items
even an Random NPC like Wandering trader to sell items like petshop
and add a bit more fantasy like creatures
The more pet mods I see, the more I realise there should be an enchantment that cancels out your weaponâs ability to hit your pets

Oh man, a selective breeding mod would be great.
Give wolves a bound, random variation of length for their body, limbs, tail, snout, and ears, a few different patterns, two fur colour variables, an overall scale, and maybe some secret things like floppy ears or long fur (which can be sheared for wool)
Have then start off being mostly average wolves with little variation, maybe a predefined colour set. When you breed two together it takes the average of the two parents' size variables and then adds a little variation on top of that for the puppies - they also take two of the parent's fur colours (maybe with some variation) and one of their patterns (with a low chance for a random new one)
Boom, you can now breed dogs to get a unique pet.

A mod designed around wolf breeding (not sure if it's still in development; last i checked it was) is called WildCraft! I quite enjoy it; it doesn't have all the little mechanics but it adds many different fur and eye colors, which can combine to make a certain eye/fur color!

if they ever decide to add dogs in Minecraft, it will be in a dedicated update for pets, so they probably would focus on passive mobs and probably redo some models, like cats, they're just recolored, but cats have differences between them; some have alot of furr, some don't have any, etc

Also, I'd like to see this become a more complete mod, maybe with more breeds.
Some things that I'd like to see:
- Huskies
- Yorkies!!!
- Austrailian shepherds (Aussie dogs!)
- A black-and-gold alt color for the shiba inus
- Dog toys! Maybe you could give them the ability to grant temp buffs to the dogs, perhaps at the cost of the toy losing its buffing ability after a set number of uses?
- This one might be a bit far fetched, but maybe add the ability to create wolfdogs through breeding? Same mechanics as a dog, but with the general look of a wolf! (Though maybe give them a somewhat darker color to help differentiate them from regular wolves.)
I mean they will add the Allay soon which will bring in items. Tho I would love having a dog companion as well!

Minecraft - Pets Update
· there are now dogs next to there being cats, wolfs, ocelots, rabbits and foxes
· (tamed) wolfs are the only ones being able to attack other mobs or players
· each pet gets their own "respawn anchor" (bed) which they can assign by themselves
· when breaking a bed, their respawn anchor is broken and has to be assigned yet again unless you don't want them to respawn)
That could be a nice addition to the other mobs updates which already happened.
I have a few questions about this mod...
1. Can the dogs mate with the wolfs/any other dog?
2. Will it still attack any mobs/players that hit you?
3. Will they're be any baby pups?
4. Will your dog get along with other players?
When a single person can update more recently minecraft than an entire company
Mojang is trying there best to update Minecraft donât be too hard on them, also it is a team of moders that made this mod
They'd be working on more important updates and deeper features of the game

@Honey the mute they are every year they make a big update. Also they have to port the uplate onto all the different versions of minecraft which takes a wile they also have to balance everything
Throwing bones doesnât really feel like Minecraft so how about this: Instead of making bones throwable, place one wool block of your choice in the middle of a crafting table and surround it with 9 leather. This would make a leather ball for your dog! Maybe the color of the wool block would affect the color of the ball. however I donât really know what purpose the ball would serve. Maybe your dog has more Max health or speed if you play ball with it enough, or there could be an affection system where your dog would more frequently dig up rare items as gifts for you and only follow the balls that you throw if you train it with a ball. Your dog could also have a favorite ball, being a ball with the same color as the one first used on the dog. That way if you have multiple dogs they donât get in the way as much if your trying to fight.
