Am I Heartless or Genius Firing My Minimum Wage Workers

Self proclaimed GOAT restaurant owner Lenny Rosenberg keeps firing his workers instead of giving them a minimum wage increase. Is Lenny insane and cruel or does he know something we do not. Lenny claims the minimum wage increases are killing his business profits. And he also says this is going to ultimately destroy the restaurant industry and businesses all over if the Federal Government implements a $15 dollar an hour federal minimum wage. Effective January 1st 2023 millions of workers in the United States did get more money in their paychecks. The minimum wage in many states has been increased and employees are rejoicing in their Fight for $15. The increases range from 23 cents to $1.50 an hour. California and Washington are over $15.00 an hour. And Washington D.C. is now over $16.00 an hour. And while the federal minimum wage remains unchanged the Biden administration is trying to eventually get that rate to $15.00 as well. Lenny Rosenberg talks to reporter David Nazar with Sustaining US on PBS.
