Well when the info is incorrect as cats can eat raw meat and egg whites can cause an issue with nutrient absorbency
My 14 year old cat only likes raw chicken meat, she doesn't touch the meat cooked no matter which way but that's fine, a cat is adapted to eat raw meat, they are carnivores and we think of them as if they were human... they can eat a carcass and nothing will happen to their stomach Theirs is 100% adapted to this, besides she likes olive oil/olives, beans in tomato sauce and that's it! And of course her usual food. She is quite picky and spoiled, I noticed that every cat has preferences for certain things just like humans.

@@garyssimo I got very sick from kefir once - the company said I must have got a batch with some very active strains. I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital! I would not want my cat to go through that. The vet prescribed some type of probiotics, however, that my cat LOVED !
Also in addition to your mentioned unsweetened probiotic yogurt. Be sure the probiotic cultures are live. Also lactose free yogurt. Lactose is sugar.

My 14yr old is lactose intolerant ( all cats are- ) I am also. Hates eggs. Not into salmon. But loves Mahi Mahi. Imrent a room so no oven. So pan fry with limited oil shame stores don't provide no seasoning chicken fish in deli and meats fish section. I hate spice also. So ideal Is impossible. I'd love baked chicken or fish myself. He is picky food wise. His brother from another mother he'd been with 11 ,yrs died in Dec. Both miss him terribly. And now home alone while I support us both. He is Alpha male so another cat is not on radar. So as much as this glorified list is I'm video- it's not happening until stores sell no seasoned baked chicken/ fish and he begins to like sardines and eggs and quinoa and seeds😊

I agree that cats love salmon. Mine does! However in the wild cats eat RAW fish.
They catch fish and eat them raw. The same is true of ALL meat they eat in the wild.
They catch the mouse, bird or whatever, do not COOK it and eat it raw.
I answered this already a few times. cooling kills bacteria, these are not present in fresh caught prey.
My cat loves cheese of any sort, Greek yoghurt, tomato sauce (not ketchup), and licking dinner plates. But his favourite snack, when he can find one, is a baby rat - fresh meat, roughage and plenty of crunchy calcium for the teeth.
HAI, cats like cheese but unfortunately it contains lactose as milk does and that is not so good for cats. S best limit the amount of cheese. Most people do not like feeding prey animals, but these are very healthy.

My cats like one or two puffed popcorn. It cleans their teeth and after grooming I give them temptation treats, while I’m eating my dinner they’ll take a few bites of my meat, chix or fish.

Cats are very suspicious of food because they are never sure if they will get sick from them. My wife gets one of our picky cats to eat by putting a little of the new food into the side of their mouth. After they get used to it being “safe” they will then eat it.

Yogurt could be bad as many cats are lactose intolerant. But there is no mention of this when recommending cottage cheese? Credibility flew out the window at this point.

What do you do if they refuse to eat any of these foods??? Mine would rather choke than eat a piece of turkey yet in a can that is her favorite. So is chicken. Never tried sardines however I did try mackeral, nope.
Some cats can be very picky. Especially when they did not learn to eat different food as kitten. You can just try various food. You can mix a little canned food with lean meat;

To everyone who left shrieking comments about cats in the wild eating only raw food.... I ask you to consider for a moment that in the wild a cat will eat its prey immediately. Feeding raw food to your cat presents problems if the food is left sitting around amd we all know that many cats will nibble at their food, sometimes leaving it for longer than is safe and risking possible food poisoning.. Even my big boys do not clean their plates all at once and I would not risk their health by feeding them raw food..

I heard a tiny bit of red wine was good for cats.
I presume this is told because red wine has polyphenols, these are very strong antioxidants. But still I dont recommend feeding alcohol to my pets. It is toxic!

You do NOT have to COOK eggs either. In the wild they ear BIRD EGGS without cooking them. Geesh! As much as we love our cats, they are not humans and don't require cooking their food. The heat in cooking deletes some of the nutrients they crave.

I've never seen a cat fishing. Bears do, we've all seen those video's, but not once have I ever seen a cat (or cat video) scooping a fish out of a stream, pond, lake or river.

we have been making and feeding raw food (mostly chicken) to our cats for over 20 years with not one case of stomach upset. Why feed commercial food when if you make it yourself you have control over what goes in and the freshness, the same cannot be said of commercial foods which are often rancid

Both cats and dogs are carnivores, the natural and most healthy diet is raw meat and raw offal, raw pieces of animals with fur attached like rabbit ears etc for gut health and worm control are very good, raw skin and bone, but never cooked is good, they don’t need any cooked food or certainly for cats no vegetables, they are definitely not a part of their diets, they are not the same as us. If you want a pet that can eat your food from your table, get a pig. Just have to add, this video is bullsh*t take no notice of it and delete it.
There is a lot of discussion between raw meat diehards and scientist of commercial foods. I am on neither side. I do not have any gain by promoting one or the other. In my opinion, good, well-balanced commercial foods are not bad, and self-made raw food can be too one-sided. Cats are carnivores, but they eat everything, also stomach content of their prey including plant materials. Also do cats eat green parts from plants in the wild. But anyway, I appreciate your comment a lot. Good discussions keep us alert, thinking and informed.
My cat eats grass for her stomach on her own accord. When they eat prey animals, they eat mostly the whole animal including the digestive organs which in most birds and rodents, have grains, seeds, and greens in them.
There is a big difference between dogs and cats diets. Cats are totally carnivores. The only way, in nature, that they have veggies are in the stomachs/gizzards, of the animals they eat. Yogurt is not good for cats. Almost all are l lactose intolerant! There are probiotics to feed your cats that are natural to their diet. And grains are not in a cat diet. There are other ways to give them brain benefits. They also like a consistent diet where dogs can have a varied diet. Cats do not freely show illness so you may not see that their tummy’s are upset.
