I don't have enough good things to say about this kid. He's got heart and soul, plays a mean guitar and has an amazing voice. But most importantly he writes great songs. I'm sure we're gonna hear many great things from him in the future.
My god as a guitar play myself I have to admit he went absolutely ballistic on some of those lead licks. That modulation up in the beginning was so smooth.
Anyone else read his bio? He is under 25 and has already spent half his life in the game; traveling and playing in his Blues father's band. Playing ZZTop is a good way to get my vote.
Saw him open for Blackberry Smoke a few years ago in Wilmington, NC. Dude is gonna leave a serious mark on the music industry. Superb songwriter, great singer, and a world class guitar player!
I saw this guy at Clapton's guitar blues fest in Dallas, back in 2019. I try to keep up with him, so I don't forget him. What a combination of voice and guitar.

This is the real deal, here. Theyre trying to groom him in nashville, his new album eldorado is not good. He needs to stick to his roots. Hes way more talented than they will ever let him credit for... hes a blues guitarist all the way...!
Marcus is so awesome! He really needs to learn to set up solos much better though. He can play incredibly well ... that's not what I'm saying. But he just goes from 0 to 100 without building tension. I'm sure it will come with maturity. It's the only thing that he lacks.

Seen Marcus at 18yo and he is a fantastic musician !!! Will enjoy listening to him for the rest of my life!

The first I head of him was when Lyle Lovette did an on line show with him, just about a month ago, he is quite new on the scene.
Saw Marcus a year before the plandemic got here. Awesome show. I wanna see him again. I too saw ZZ Top a bunch of times. Will miss Dusty for sure.
I'm gonna go and see him live in my hometown next July, I'm afraid I'll be selling my guitars after that..
