- The Coast Guard intercepted a makeshift narco-submarine hauling a hell of a lot of cocaine in the Pacific Ocean.
The Coast Guard said Thursday that its cutter ship the Harriet Lane seized some 5,000 pounds of the drug off the semi-submersible vessel manned by four suspected smugglers on October 23.
A boarding team was able to take control of the narco-sub before the people onboard could use a system designed the sink the craft, the Coast Guard said.

I've only people really know the truth the facts that I have with the people that I have spoken with in the military say that there is actually seven to eight Subs and they give the location of one with they say 69 million dollars worth which is supposably a lot which is just confiscated and used on our own drug fighting efforts to theirs when the other subs make it coastside

Late reply but here it goes. The reason why the Navy and coast guard decided to switch the uniforms was 1) to minimize cost by transitioning the entire military into the same type of camo (think Army/AF OCPs) because each branch was making more of a fashion statement then to actually fight. 2) if a sailor or coast guardsmen falls into the water, a blue camo would make it much much harder to see underneath the waves, possibly hindering the rescue.
