Everyone’s always ashamed of showing there first customs 😂 this is a dope vid. Shows the progression of your craft. Good shit 🙌🏼
Experience is such a valuable asset considering all the work one puts into their hobbies and careers.
Cheers! You have grown well to admit the truth... there is no spoon... only practice, patience, and courage.
Really like this bc it shows the progression and ways new customizers can get better! I def thought my first customs were dope, until I started adding all of the professionals on IG. Lol.
Psychological fact..... studies have been shown that people who use their hands while speaking have more brain capacity, and tend to be more honest along with smarter
🤯🤯🤯Ooooooooh we in business then!!
Well a lot of sleazy politicians talk with their hands so.... :(
But you are taught in school to talk with your hands, I was graded for it. Unless you mean people who naturally talk with their hands.
Huh, awesome
@@ShoumikMajumdar Those are masonic gestures not just ordinary hand movement..
It’s crazy!! I’ve been customizing since High School & it’s even crazier because you & El Cappy were my reason for starting!
My first custom was an airforce 1 pair . I hydro dipped them but without tape 🤦🏽♂️
The best way to learn is through making mistakes!
Bruhhh I’m dead
Oof 😂. Always learn and get better.
☠️☠️
😂dang
Your hands are makin me dizzy lol..good vid otherwize
Lmao sorry about that 🤪
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Hispanic here. If I had a straight jacket on, I wouldn't be able to talk.
sneakanomics A+ comment
Thank you for this video!! I’ve been a little discouraged recently. I’m tryna do more detailed shoes and I haven’t been doing as good as I want but this helps show me if I work hard I’ll get where I want to be
Love seeing where it all began! Hoping to be able to find the same success as you!
Will Hadlow thank you for the support Will! Keep at it brother!
The hand thing is crazy, even my 9 year old was like "what's up with his hands?"
Regardless great vids!
Lmao i’ve calmed it down in our newest videos
DeJesus Custom Footwear nice! Great content either way, keep it up!
I wanted to customize my old shoes this year. After watching your videos, I figure I can try. I did not use duller.
Honestly, I think I did a good job for it being my first time. Thank you for all the videos and teaching us.
This is the video I first noticed how much you talk with your hands. I was working and I have this video playing in a window on the side and I kept seeing a lot of movement out of my peripheral. Then I notice it's your hands moving the whole video 😆 Anyways, thanks for continuing to put out these great vids man! I appreciate the content!
It means he’s telling the truth
With anything you start some place.. it’s oblivious that you were doing something right because people wanted your work.
Your talent grew and the products got better to where you are today..
🤙
Thank you!
I like how you demonstrated when you started how you started off and how you improve, and bro, you really impressed me with your different styles and creative work, you also encourage me to don't give up but to continue doing it to the best of my ability, also I'll practice doing it for free until I can start charging as little by little until I better my self, you're a GREAT TEACHER, believe me, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯, I only love to watch your tutoring videos than to watch others, because some of those, other people is kinda sloppy, but you're Very NEAT, I LIKE THAT...
I’m about to begin this journey! Thank you for sharing 🤗
I actually love the shoes in thumbnail, looks vibrant af.. ❤🤯😍
I'm going to start doing shoes. I have some brushes and a couple paints. Ive watched how to prep shoes. Gonna start on some older pair's. Probably going to get airbrush set up soon. Then I'll have the basics. Keep up the inspiration bro..
Even your earliest work still looked good 👌🏾
Great video, stay humble !
This gives me hope thanks 🙏
Glad we can help out a bit!
Pure motivation appreciate you
Hey man, really respect your honesty and hustle. Currently, I customize shoes for fun. Not many people outside my wife and kids know that I do. Do you have any pointers that could help me find my lane? Like brush painting vs. airbrushing, or restorations vs. customs?
What a wonderful journey! The last one is my favorite! So cool! Thanks for sharing all this with us! :)
Thank YOU
Last pair were dope
Super helpful! Thx!
Yewwww first, great vid🔥 I want to learn how you guys and people like kickasso paint cleat soleplates, because I see kickasso putting patterns on the sole plate and it looks sick🤙🏽
Haha unfortunately soles are one of those things that just don’t have long term durability
You’ve come a long way
Its great for you to share your struggles on your way to success. I started customizing a long time ago stopped because it was just a hobby and now thinking back i could have made it a hustle for money. But maybe it isnt too late?
Never too late to get back into something that you're passionate about man!
We thought it was too late to start doing youtube, but as long as you stay true to yourself and make your product unique, it's never too late!
Good luck Mark!
You're getting my sub buddy I'm matching what I've learned with your methods im buying a sander asap acetone is okay but that looks like a better process. I use adhesive promoter to stop cracking
You do amazing work. It would be cool if you recreated your first shoes so we can all see how far you have come. I've learned a lot from your videos and helped me start my own business doing this. Thank you for sharing your tips, tricks, and how to do this correctly.
Thank you so much, love that idea!
I didn't even watch this video I just wanted to tell u ur like the top 7 choices when I search custom Sneakers on CZcams. Ur doing something right
What are some techniques to get rid of brush strokes? I’m glad you talked about this because there isn’t anyone talking about this. Thanks in advance
2 most important things that help with that, are thinner coats and adding duller into your paint
Came here from apple tv to comment on hands but.... love the content though thanks for sharing
I love you videos so much help 4 me thank you so much 😊
Awesome 👏🏼
I’m still learning 😕
Armando hey it takes time as you can tell! Lol
efforts, practice, patience, determinations, make you great and your works amazing people, there from the money after.
I have a question for you how do you rid of the paint strokes when paint shoes
What kinda of colours are you using? Acrylics for leather? Could you perhaps provide a link for those colours? Also, how do you sketch first? With graphite pencils free hand? Thanks in advance
Do you have a video on how to touch up without putting colors on other panels that’s not that color?
Great video. New subscriber here! I have a question. When buying a pair of kicks to customize with the aim to sell them online, what size shoe do you pick? Any ? Does it matter?
chronicfish yeah that’s an incredibly tough question to answer. At this point we only do custom orders so it’s on a per order basis (whatever size the client is) but if you’re starting out and wanting to post some work with the hopes to sell it.. your best bet is choosing the most common shoe size amongst men (10,10.5)
Watching alot of your videos man makes me want try out customizing shoes, i honestly dont know how to draw but i wanna atleast give it a try because i wanna be able to look back in life and say hey i gave it a shot. What are some tips that you can give me for a first timer? And i have a question as well, can i use an airbrush to do most of my painting or would i need to use paint brushes as well?
🤙🏽 yup you can get by using an airbrush mainly
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear thanks so much man i truly appreciate it the helpful advice. I look forward to seeing more of videos you post man thanks so much again
Thanks bruh 💯 you a role model to look up to I got to get you on your social media platforms ....
I'll rock that sneaker In the thumbnail with the colors .I dig different Ish like that
Anybody know how to prep nubuck for paint? Any tips or links?
your studio here looks so different
Lol yup we were in a different location!
Talking with your hands is an ethnic thing. A lot of grassroots Black and Brown people do this. It is part of our culture. It is a sign of honesty and compassion. You can also find European people who do the same thing.
Stop hating on him. If you are that distracted by his hands it says more about you and your ability to focus.
whats the jordan 1 that was used for the paris customs?
That was an all white (except the sole/sockliner) Jordan 1 low from many years back
Omg i want the paris Jordan1s
U are my idol bro
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear hey master, can u reply my question on your video titled "custom air force 1!! Giveaway"
What do you use for those extra fine fine lines!??..can i get a link for it..plz!
I like zem detail brushes and toothpicks!
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear thank you! Sub!
Ey bro...i wana add some designs on my cars seat the "head rest" ..its not leather..its that soft material kinda like yoga pants style..haha..would i need a base coat or can i just go right ahead and add the color paint im going to use or either works..??... thanks
So any tips on how you actually got better? Just time and experience?
Exactly just like any craft those 2 are the biggest factors!
Good question
People say time and experience, which are both true statements, but they don’t go into depth on what this means. In my opinion, the best way to progress more efficiently is to be a conscious master of your art. Analyze your work after completing it, and be proud of it, but never satisfied with it. Look at the mistakes you’ve made and ask yourself why that mistake was made and how you can fix it by finding someone who has done it correctly. For example, if you’ve painted the sock liner and it comes out stiff. Recognize that and find out how to keep the material soft. Be a problem solver and use MULTIPLE sources. But more important than all of what I just said, is to be an active learner. Try to find out as much as you possibly can BEFORE making the mistake. Watch how to's, be observant, research. That’s actually what I’m doing right now. I started my art journey in fine arts, you know, graphite, charcoal, etc. I’ve decided in recent months that I want to start customizing shoes as a new endeavor. But I’ve been studying how to do so for YEARS. In fine arts, it appears to others that I’m just going long stretches of time without drawing and then I’m magically ten times better than I was. But the whole time, while I wasn’t doing, I was observing. My eyes are the essence of my gift. My hands are the translators of what I see. Everyone’s different, but I thought this would help you see it from a deeper perspective.
My custom was a galaxy roshe 1
Nice work cuz. Weird watching you on CZcams haha.
Nick Neuberg haha thanks man, takes some getting used to myself!
Listen... Thank you. For hyping me up for it all.
His hand movements are like lil baby rapping
Are those hand movements natural?
Lol I’m a big time hand talker.
Do you have a course on customising
We do! Should be announcing dates for early next year
Excellent video 📹 my nigga 👏 👌 🙌 💯 💪 😎 👏 👌 🙌 💯 💪 😎 👏 👌 🙌 💯 💪 😎 👏 👌 🙌 💯 💪 😎 👏 👌 🙌
👍👍👍
Omega Saphir 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Were using the same materials u are using now
Not for my first few pairs, I was using cheap acrylic paint .. had no idea I needed something else
Thanks for sharing. These are really good tips. Can’t wait for the next video on how to juggle invisible hackey sacks. JK 👍
I suck at drawing haha these are dope
Lmao drawing isn’t for everyone but that’s why a lot of us customizers have stencils to help!
How hard is the tape process
Do some soccer cleats
Axcel Martinez Garcia plenty more coming
Anyone else feel like shit after his first couple were better then yours bc I feel that rn
of course you were a terrible customizer, that sux poster, Go Cubs Go, other then that just subbed and great video.
LUIS Cortez damnnnn, harsh lol
what the hell are you doing with your hands Ricky Bobby?????? bwahahaaa
Ricky Bobby lmaooo
So are you full time shoe artist?💵🌴😷😷😷
Yup going on almost 10 years!
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear that off the scale,,,way to go
My mom made fun of my first custom pairs I did
Just starting out and I can relate to alot of what you said!! Been watching bro, I'm tuned in!! Thanks for the pointers!! @RealRapSneakerCustoms on Ig if u get a second, come peep my work!!!
Stop moving your hands so much!!! It’s distracting!! I stopped listening to you talk and kept watching your hands lol
Haha believe me man I don’t even notice when filming lol
way to much handmovement
He moves his hands entirely too much
Yes he does and it's soooooo irritating!!! Makes me want to unsubscribe because it takes away from the content....PLEASE STOP IT DUDE!!!
so annoying
This is not inspirational lol..When the title said you were bad I was expecting bad.
You used to be so much better, what happened to you bro?… sellout.. nah for real tho you can see the growth from all the experience, especially in the elephant print, and making the shoe look more like it’s “stock”.
