- Hey Yall
I am just doing what I do best. Going of on a tangent about rabbits. Today I am going to cover line breeding because I find it really interesting but also because it is a really useful tool if used properly.

I love the breed of rabbit you are carrying in this VIDEO
This is beautiful. Thanks for the lessons. We currently doing line breeding in our farm.
This is a great video
Great video. I’m planning to breed French angoras and i ran into this video. The rabbit I want most is probably a Japanese harlequin. They are so cute.
Thank you! Harlequins are so pretty but that pattern is so hard to perfect
@IB_Homestead_Committee I'm working on my perfect lines in my harlequin breed still after 2 litter lol
@@IB_Homestead_Committee omg wait I DIDNT SEE THIS AHH YOU REPLIED IM SORRY
Great info Madison. Hahah overly caffeinated and super passionate!
Thank you! Its an interesting mix 😂
Lots to learn with bunnies 🥰🥰🥲
Yes! There is so much and its crazy how deep you can get into it
thank u for the info
Thank you for watching 😁
I know it's been a while since you posted this. My question is how do you breed of an ear flop???? Thanks much
Ear flop can be genetic or heat related
I’m gonna watch this a couple of times cause I plan on line breeding my 2 pairs
Just remember with line breeding you need to be ok with culling and removing bad stock from your lines. I cant wait to see those babies 🥰
@@IB_Homestead_Committee I will sell less quality ones for pets.
@@BlessedWithPets you should get them neutered or spayed because you don’t want them to be rebred
hello, if i breed my g4 to g1 will i get 100% on g5? thank you in advance 😊
You will never get back to 100%. You will get close but not fully 100
I'm almost ready to start breeding my own rabbits. Have 10 holes set up. How many unrelated rabbits do you need to start with to keep a system genetically separate enough? I really want to keep the "backyard inbred mutt breeder" to a minimum.
I would start with four unrelated rabbits. Two males and two females. Then you can work on those lines indefinitely as long as you are keeping good records and start with good stock. What breed are you looking at? Are you just doing meat or show and pets as well?
