Most classic players should not try to play "Jazz"
Far from true. If anything its the reverse that are challenged. Anyway, the best players can and most of do play a variety of types and styles of music. The last thing any practiced musician should want is to be categorized is as a one trick pony.
This is gimmick music, not real jazz. It used to be called Mickey Mouse Jazz.
whatever "REAL" jazz is... or should be... I call it music
