    Thanks bro. I'm disabled from a GSW to the head and I have hemiplegia (Fancy word for right side weakness and paralysis) and I just bought the Airlift P along with Work Meister S1 3p for my 2008 350Z. I have to install it myself when it gets warmed up. I already ran my harnesses and my air lines but I have to wait for my wheels to be made and I should have them at the end of May 2022. Until then I'm trying to learn all I can about Airlift. I just learned even though I bought a full kit with dual everything that I don't have a lifetime warranty. Just a 4 year. Airlift changed their warranty so in you bought a full kit after 9/03/21 you get a 4 year. If you just bought a management you get a 2 year. Kinda pissed off about that but whatever. Thanks for explaining everything to me so even I can understand it.

    If your bags wont let you lift it up to the stock rideheight just set it as close to it as you can without the bags leaking. Then go to a shop and get a wheel alignment at that height you chose, to minimize wear as good as you can.
    I had to do this on my Benz e350 and the tires wear little to no more then the stock ride height would.

    At 19:40 You mention bumping up one side because of your weight. If you have level sensors wouldn't the system automatically re-level to the set height regardless of your weight, passengers or a loaded boot? I've just installed this exact kit so am learning from you, thanks.

    • @TattooedCarCulture
      @TattooedCarCulture  Před 3 lety +2

      You're correct... but for those who have the 3P system, which is just based off pressure alone and that I ran for awhile, that's when that comes into play. I was covering both systems for the viewers. In our case, yes, the system will automatically compensate for weight, which is why I prefer this system 💯

    • @TattooedCarCulture
      @TattooedCarCulture  Před 3 lety

      Most adjustments regarding stiffness is done through the dampeners/shocks/etc. An example, on hellcats, they use a mag ride type of strut which the driver can adjust the stiffness or softness of the ride quality...again, through the shocks/struts.
      So depending on your platform, I know aftermarket companies offer similar setups

      If you increase the pressure in the bags do you still get the "floaty" feel? Even with a higher ride height the bags should be stiffer and maybe be more stable. If it feels better that way you can set the pressures for best ride and then lower the car back down using the strut tubes.

    What about the compensation for when you're weight is in the car?

    • @TattooedCarCulture
      @TattooedCarCulture  Před 3 lety

      Just 1 person isn't a drastic of enough difference to affect the pressures significantly...think about even with coil springs...when you get in a car with coil springs, it's not like the car leans to 1 side.
      But...that IS why I went and went with the 3H sensors, so when there's additional weight added to the car (like my family in it), the system will automatically add needed air pressure per bag depending on where I have my ride height at.
      Hope this helps 🤜🤛

      You have to make sure your tank is full or your compressor(s) are not in the process of filling the tank...because I've had that happen after I 1st air up...and the tank has to fill before the correct pressures/preset ride height will be 100% accurate.
      Your system will get it close, but if your tank is low and/or in the process of filling, it'll throw it off

      That's honestly probably exactly what it is. It could be if you're using the original shocks, that you're new ride height is so low that they can't effectively do their job... so some guys fix it with a shorter overall length shock...if that makes sense...
      Or, like you said, the shock itself might be fine, you just might have to stiffen up the dampening by getting a new/different.

      Sick! Well then, that sounds like the main issue... cause bags won't make it "bouncy"... that's in your struts/shocks... so my advice, just stiffen those bad boys up substantially 👍

    My biggest question, in lowered on coils now, so my alignment is set for that. So I'd measure for that for my "factory height" but if I wanted to cruise around at lower heights sometimes, are you worried about alignments at all?

    • @TattooedCarCulture
      @TattooedCarCulture  Před 3 lety +1

      Honestly no, not with my setup... I constantly roll around at about a 2.5" drop from factory and never had any alignment issues.... but it is also vehicle specific, and so if you've already had your vehicle aligned at your current ride height, if you go bags, you should be golden

    I have a 3p, but all my pressures are different if the car is equal height at all wheels. Is this normal? For example my driver-side and passenger-side front wheels will measure the exact same height, but the driver side will be 90 psi and the passenger side will be 75 psi.

    • @TattooedCarCulture
      @TattooedCarCulture  Před rokem

      Yes it's normal. That's why I illustrate measuring the ACTUAL height, then setting whatever pressures those are. 👍 cause tape measures don't lie

      @TattooedCarCulture  Před 4 lety

      Yes absolutely... in the video, I talk about how in my preferences, I use the top button to lift the front end for steep driveways, etc... ultimately airbags will give you about 2-3" higher than factory ride height flexibility

  • @moe4772
    @moe4772 Před 3 lety +1

    How come you are running over 100 psi on the bags and then some guys are only running like 40 psi? I ran 80 in mine and it was bouncing like mad all over. What do you think is a sweet spot? Those wheels are nice!

    • @TattooedCarCulture
      @TattooedCarCulture  Před 3 lety

      It's all vehicle specific, and the volume of air the bags can hold. A charger is a pretty heavy car (compared to lighter JDM style cars that run bags), that's why you'll see a big difference in bag pressure, even when it's the same system....it's all related to specific bags and vehicle application. If your car was super "bouncy", that sounds more like a strut/shock issue, rather than a bag issue.

    • @miscstuff4789
      @miscstuff4789 Před 3 lety +1

      I'm using an Air Lift Performance system from a Lexus on a '69 BMW and the way I plan on figuring out the correct pressures and ride height is to install the system and adjust the pressures and dampers to the ride QUALITY I like. Ignoring the ride height, I'm only interested in the way the car rides. Once I determine that, I use the adjustable strut tubes to set the ride height. By doing it this way you know your starting with the correct pressure (bag height) that will be around the height you'll be using most of the time. If you go lower you can increase the stiffness with the dampers somewhat. If you want to go higher it's usually for a short time to get past a speed bump or steep driveway so the higher/stiffer bag (air spring) doesn't matter that much.

    Do you find the pressures affect ride quality much?

    • @TattooedCarCulture
      @TattooedCarCulture  Před 4 lety

      Not in the way you're referencing... the quality of ride isn't affected by my different pressure settings, but it does come into play if I am "riding low", if I'm not careful I'll tend to scrape my splitter more, or my rear tires will rub hitting dips in the road, etc... but the "ride" feels the same regardless of how much pressure is in the bags. Different setups might have different results, but I'm using UNIVERSAL BRAND bags over factory struts/shocks.
