- We continue our retrospective of Five Nights at Freddy's and it's various animatronic characters with a look back at Bonnie the purple bunny and the lore surrounding him. This FNAF Explained video looks back at the origins of Bonnie, his gameplay and some creepy secrets and easter eggs, as well as a quick refresher of some of his alternate versions over the years. These alternate versions include Withered Bonnie, Toy Bonnie, Bon Bon, Spring Bonnie and Nightmare Bonnie. Bonnie was the one i was originally fearful of the most back when the game came out. my first playthrough had the horrible zombie groan in it leading to insta game over. I thought I was over it, but i got the fear shivers just hearing it again in this video. XD Would love to see if he gets added as DLC in Security Breach or if they add his broken Glam rock body some where.
I would kill for the dlc to be Freddy himself trying to explore the mystery surrounding the missing appearance of Bonnie.
Perhaps it can be after one of the endings which means that his repaired friends may also be able to help.

I’m here after playing security breach. To add to the story it’s confirmed he was decommissioned by no further reason but it’s theorized that he reminded people of spring trap, but others also believe that it was Monty gator that killed him to take his place. Either way it’s sad that Bonnie isn’t with us anymore he is by far my favorite character and has always been. I hope we can see more of him in the next fnaf game with the next generetation fnaf technology like security breach. Maybe we can find him broken and needing help. Because like Freddy, security breach made him the good guy instead of the antagonist

Yeah, I can’t get past night four because Bonnie makes me keep the left door closed a quarter of the night. Oof.
Fun fact: Bonnie was at my door from 2am to 4am when I was playing fnaf mobile causing my power to go to 35 percent at 5am right when freddy was at his most active.
What I love about fnaf's one bonnie the most is the fact that he is always known as the "most aggressive" of the band, because he is the first one to move in most nights of the game and he is the one who usually attacks more times during the night, I just love it because it gives bonnie that "dangerous vibe" to say it like that, like the fact that he is the very first animatronic to attack in the entire game and the first one we actually get to see in person
Fun fact: Glitchtrap can also be called Malhare. It's a mixture of the words "malware" and "hare" (as in the rabbit).

Yes I mention this in the Foxy video. But it is likley Bonnie originally had Foxy's mechanics hence his footage in that trailer as he was used to test all mechanics in the beta.

actually fnaf 2 was before the events of fnaf 1 was made. What actually happened was the toy animatronics were scrapped due to malfunctions and the company fixed the withered animatronics to put them to use in the next location that was opening, which was where fnaf 1 took place.
so the withered animatronics are the exact same thing as the animatronics in fnaf 1? that’s crazy

Just to clear up, William is purple guy, the killer, but he’s not actually purple, purple is used to indicate shadows in old Atari video games because the background is black so they can’t use black. Michael is the LITERAL purple guy because he’s a walking decomposing corpse.

Intresting fact: i think the mask you use in fnaf 2 to protect fron toys could actually be Bonnie's face. I know it resembles more the freddy one, but i think the facial design of the 2 characters are fairly similar.
Also this would explain why Bonnie grabs you during his jumpscare rather than just scream at you, and also the distorted voiceline.
But still, it's just a tought

You know, those trailers are pretty good. I kind of wish that Scott had included cutscenes in the game(s) like that. I think that would have made it significantly more immersive. Maybe have an opening intro where you walk into the restaurant for your first night, stuff like that.

I like how Security Breach canonized that Bonnie and Freddy have a very close friendship, which references the fact that a bear and a rabbit were the first animatronics William and Afton made. And now they are sworn enimies as glamrock freddy and burntrap.

I agree that Bonnie was the scariest, and what set that off for me was his lack of eyebrows, unlike the other three. To our human perception, eyebrows provide nonverbal expression and communication of emotions. Thus, the lack of eyebrows can make one appear mysterious and even uncanny, for we can't tell how they may be feeling.

I love springtrap. His design in the 3rd game was awesome because you can see his flesh and the tore up parts of the suit and if he opens his mouth you can see aftons skull which is awesome.
Glitchtrap just looks too cartoon-ish to me. And burntrap (from security breach) looks freaking amazing. Melted skin and metal. It's just amazing
Withered Bonnie was always my favorite/scariest animatronic for me. Just his Erie presence of dread with the missing arm and face. Fnaf 2 was my first horror game I really loved and I was playing it at 3 am when withered Bonnie jump scared me and it freaked me out so much that I just turned off my iPad and went to sleep. After that I respect him. I also just loved Bonnie because I thought he was cool.

Bonnie was my all time favorite animatronic since I knew about FNAF. My favorite variant of Bonnie is Withered Bonnie, as well as my favorite animatronic in the whole series. I like how FNAF mostly points towards Bonnie, it gives him a lot of importance to the series and its creator

What I always found funny was when Bonnie died he was throwing hands with Afton

We also had a place called Major magics here in Buffalo when I was younger. There animatronics were really creepy and old like they are in parts of these games

For the people who are confused, Michael is William Afton’s son and the reason he’s purple in this clip is because his organs got scooped out of his body by Ennard (so that Ennard could take over his body) and now his body is decaying.

Fnaf is a difficult franchise to explain. Lore can get pretty mixed up and not everyone believes in the same theory.

Omg i can't belive it when i was playing fnaf 1 first time i got jumpscared by bonnie (bc i was opening and closing the doors when he was there and that made me disable the doors lol) i got the eyeless bonnie and i was like "uhh i think thats normal :D" but luckily i got a screenshot of it.
