in france there was a huge problem about a cancerous pesticide - banned from europe - found in a lot of our food, especially ice cream. like in literally almost ALL ice cream brands. i don't know if this image was taken because of that specifically but it was a thing
Might not even be just a freezer break, could be a full power grid outage. Several years ago in ohio there was a freak storm followed by the worst heatwave in half a century. Took out power from the whole state and even portions of surrounding states. Every store that didnt have an emergency backup looked like that. urban centers took 5 days to come online, the more rural areas took more then 2 weeks to be beyond the LV emergency grid for the gas companies.

Here's something mildly infuriating. The difference between the american postal service and the canadian postal service. I have an online friend who lives in America and I live in Canada. We've mailed each other stuff a couple times and everytime I get her stuff the box is virtually undamaged. But whenever she gets mine it's always been bent or crushed or had something wrong with it.
So, who's breaking it? Canada's on the way out, or the USA's on the way into the country and to the door? You may never find out!
@@y_fam_goeglyd I've found often my parcel from UK to US, my friend gets very perfect pristine state of the box and fast delivery , no bent or any marks EXCEPT when I get her box from US to UK. The box arrives so damaged that I'm glad she did double box inside in case. Plus arrived 2 months late.
The difference? I'd argue that's the one thing pretty much every country has in common, absolutely terrible postal service and far worse when shipping internationally.

I, too, can see in grayscale. I've noticed, though, that darker greens(like the kind that would be used for a green crayon) can actually be darker than reds, especially the one shown here. Definitely a red crayon, but I'd consider red the middle tone in this context.

I remember that me and my family went to the park for Father's Day. When we played badminton, my mom lunged to hit the badminton ball (idk what it's called) and instead fractured her hand. We went to the nearest urgent care to get it checked, but they didn't accept her because she wasn't from around those parts or something. We went to 2 other ones, and one of them said they can't look at it because it was "'minor". I don't think a hand that heals after 2 months is MINOR. As a C store worker I understand Where the Lcd Display doors come from. It allows customers/employees to easily identify where a certain product is or would go, also minimizing the need for lables and hopefully encouraging costumers to put stuff back where it actually belongs. But yeah you're right it's stupid inefficent, if the display is a static image it would take more effort than its worth to change it. And C stores have this wonderful thing called Schematics, or Product schematics, that show exactly where the product goes, usually in relation to 2 or more other 'shelves' along with exact specifications on what product should be where and even display orientation
One good thing about living in a small village is all the mail gets delivered to the post office where you then go and pick it up. The workers there are amazing and have yet to damage anything and I've lived here for 20 years of my life. Then again I'm polite to them and pick up my mail on a regular basis so they have no reason to be miffed with me.

Fake service dogs are the worst. I know a few people who have service dogs and one of them got kicked out of the mall because the store owner didn't believe his service dog was an actual service dog. Another almost got turned back while traveling because his service dog is a 5lb dog and there weren't supposed to be allowed any animals on the boat besides service animals.
He had to take out the papers and show the security that he had severe PTSD from being in the Vietnam War and his dog was an actual service dog. People with fake service animals are hurting people with real service animals because they're too selfish to think about anyone but themselves

I used to put ice in my milk at restaurants because it’s not cold enough. Then I discovered I was lactose intolerant and had to stop drinking it. 0:58 The reason the bent packages are like that is the conveyor belts used in sorting stations are full of packages, and if a package gets stuck somewhere, all the packages behind it are smashed into the back of it and smaller, flat packages tend to get bent when that happens.
Point being, it's not people ignoring the do not bend and bending it, it's a giant industrial machine that can't read and doesn't care.
The place I work at has rules preventing small, flat packages from going on the conveyors specifically because they're prone to getting damaged like this, but people can be real lazy and just throw everything on the conveyors anyway.

Just a fun fact, the doctor "missing the shot" with the bandaid is understandable. Right when an IM shot is given and you remove the needle, the needle mark is practically invisible so we make our best guess. The needle mark in the pic is a tiny bruise which develops later. I'm an RN and this happens a lot, it's not a big deal for an IM injection as long as the initial shot is in the right area. And it was, so it's fine!
