@Ken Able So the competition MUST be at a podium where they are completely motionless. According to who? The art of communicating with a large group of human beings would include all those things. I think it's much more likely that you just aren't good at some or all of those things, and it upsets you.
@Ken Able powerful argument you've got there
@Ken Able And I'm probably not the only one who thinks you're twisting semantics because you're incapable of actually dynamically speaking to a large audience
i was there in the audience. as soon as Aaron finished i said to myself “ i don’t care who comes next , this guy won already “
brilliant Aaron . so proud of you
Mohammed Alqahtani Totally agreed

@@publicspeakingmentor i want to learn how you have a good confidence
Finally a speech wins without gimicks or unneccessary over-the-top acting!
Tbh I see him acting.
It was over the top for me.
Tho it has black jokes..
Acting is part of the speech. Over-the-top acting is subjective anyway
At first I was like anybody could give a talk like that, what makes him so special? But as soon as the story ended and he explained the reason behind telling that story, i almost cried!
Dam I feel you. I was like I've seen some speakers, but by the end, I was so mind blown. I literally have to go back and deconstruct this whole thing now.
I loved this speech. Gripping story, gradually built towards the climax, and then an earnest, timely message. All delivered in his own natural style. Hit every note correctly! Well deserved 👏🏼
2016 - " So let's make the words we do say count. You'll be surprised how long people will remember a few words."
I just realized that was him! Thank you for reminding me of my favourite speech :)
Indian traditional things are nothing but it's the way of people coming together live together.. I'm proud to be a Indian..love you Aaron...
Indian tradition is above your understanding
@@Deepaksingh-sd9qy means..?

You speak from heart. That's soothing.
This Indian Ritual acts as an ice breaker. What a great presentation Aaron and what a great call to action.
Many thanks 🙏
Congrats Aaron! Your story telling and public speaking ability gave me chills! So vivid, colorful, and full of life..I felt every aspect of that story. Thank you!
Hearty congratulations Aaron!! What a powerful message!!🥰
I watched this speech 5 times , taking notes. From vocal tonality to story telling and body language. This speech is so rich of passion and techniques. I will incorporate them in my speeches as your fellow Toastmaster Aaron. Thank you for your hard work and persistence. I first saw you in 2016 and you inspired me then and now you rocked my public speaking world 🙏🙏🙏😃😃👍
You just win the heart 💓.. explaining the wedding ceremony..
Love from #IN love you brother 💓
Congratulations Aaron! I am particularly proud of your perseverance in aiming for the championship. Your semi-final and final speeches demonstrate your storytelling mastery. Thank you for the motivation to stay the course. Best wishes on your next steps.
great speech: humurous, entertaining and passes a very powerful message.
Wow, that was brilliant; it held my attention throughout. Sharp opening, laugh-out-loud moments and a meaningful ending; well done Aaron.
Amazing speech, act.. use of words, gesture, stage.. beatiful.
Congrats to new champion of public speaking. Very good timely message given by his speech.
"This is your mission, take it very seriously."
Aaron for your first Area contest, I knew you had greatness in you! This speech personifies your talent and I'm so proud of you! I'm so happy you didn't give up but kept moving forward. A passionate, consummate speaker!
Congratulations Aaron, great message beautifully told, mission always accepted!
This guy is brilliant!! Hatsoff to both the families who invited him 🙏! I guess this icebreaker just melted our hearts guys !!
The message and the way it is delivered by Aaron are unbelievable.
the last 2 minute gave that sudden impact of emotions...his humor turned out and ended up with a great message "acceptance despite of differences"
I accept you Mission Aaron! And I will try my best to take it seriously 😀
Many congratulations on this well deserved victory Aaron🏆
Many thanks my friend. I appreciate that you will take the call to action.
amazing speech Aaron. Looking at your attire makes me respect you more for respecting our tradition and presenting it at an international stage. Much power and love to you from India.
Mind blowing Aaron. That was wonderful speech with all the right emotions. Yes, we Indians do accept everyone as part of our family. Nice message and mission given to the people as well.
This is undoubtedly one of the finest speeches I have ever listened to. The articulation, modulation and the gestures were on point and how the guy tells the story is so artistic.
Wow, I loved this story!!! Congratulations on the win!
I love this presentation. He stayed focused. He took the mission very seriously. He held the shoes to his heart. In the end, he brought three cultures together. Great Job Aaron Beverly!
Aaron am so proud of you - Welldone!! Every culture has no room for discrimination but it is politicians that creates these divisions globally
Olayinka Aina I believe it’s much more than just politicians but the lesson should be applied by us all
You are right sir
True, unfortunately currently in India the extreme right is with closed minds separatist thoughts is propagating hatred
“If you don’t vote Democrat you ain’t black!” - Joe Biden
Wonderful speech, Aaron 👏! Great delivery. I accept the mission 💪
I came here because this was once our topic in one of my subject and I need to re-watch it since I'm a bit lost during class so I can't understand anything. But now that I fully understand his speech, thank you for such a wonderful message.
This has inspired me to do the storytelling elective speech.
Well done! Great vocal variety, excellent pauses, comfortable on stage, the audience was completely engaged.
Brilliant speech and lesson for us all. Thanks Aaron.
CONGRATULATIONS Aaron. Being an Indian-American, I can fully relate with the story. Your presentation was very universal that anybody from any culture could understand it very well. You are Super. 💐❤️🇺🇸🇮🇳
Well done Aaron.....what a speech it is, I got goosebumps in the end when you said "Take it very seriously!!!"
Exceptional and just the type of message we need right now. So often the winning speeches are about overcoming some major obstacle or having something exceptionally bad happening to you. It is refreshing to hear a speech with a great message but with a playful and fun premise. Great job.
Thank you Donna!
Terrific I am connected to the story from teh beginning.
Love from India
That's beautiful! Amazing. Loved it
Wow! It's not only the speech, but the message at the end was phenomenal.
Couldn't believe you lost Aaron. You were the best in 2016. And i'm glad you won in 2019. I watch this video so often.
An unbelievable speech! Thanks, Aaron for representing JPMC and District 18 with such an amazing presentation!
Theresa Skorupa thank you so much
Really wish more people would see this. It's an amazing speech!
Goodness! I liked it very much. No wonder he is the winner.
I honestly thought his speech wasn’t funny enough but it’s the message that really got me. Crafty and Inspiring!
Awwww what a beautiful and inspiring speech. Very well done
I laughed, I listened, and I learned. Superb Storyteller!!!
To be frank, this speech is very inspiring and encouraging. it doesn't begin or proceed with boring statement or any argument to make a point; instead, it starts with funny story, dynamic and dramatic behavior to make it vivider, and strikes the audiences' heart when it's to the end with a sensible and reasonable argument. Nice to enjoy the champion show!
A master storyteller. Very well deserved. Congratulations Aaron.
Bharat Sangekar many thanks sir
Glad that you acknowledged the hospitality of Indians at Toastmasters competition! And it was a nice well-structured speech with a strong message!!!

I’d love a man like you in my life👌🏼
A phenomenal speech. Congratulations Aaron.
Incredible speech. Well deserved!
That was beautiful!! So well delivered, the story pulls us in and makes us laugh and want to fight with him for those shoes and then brings us all together, no matter our differences on the outside we are all exactly the same on the inside. Thank you Aaron Beverly for reminding us of that - I take my mission very seriously and will carry the torch (shoes) forward as one of your champions!
Such a nice thing to say. ❤
Just amazing... very well deserved!!!
Truly an unbelievable performance with an unbelievable story! Also, felt too proud as Indian culture was portrayed on such a big stage:-)
Love it!!!
Thank you for sharing your story and this mission =)
Amazingly delivered!!!!!!!!
Proud to be an Indian
That's one crazy story but I like how it all came together in the end.
mrbigg151 you’d be surprised by how much of that story is not exaggerated 🙂
mrbigg151, this actually happens in Indian wedding. Come India, join us and experience it :)
@@sheshangajwalia4606 I SOOOO wishI could. I've had a few friends but have never been to an Indian wedding
Wonderful speech Mr. Beverly.
Such great storytelling!
This is my favorite. I keep coming back
I absolutely loved this.
That was an amazing speech.
Such a great humourous speech with an essential message!
Open your mind to people who are different to you. Acceptance despite difference is not an unbelievable story take it very seriously. Loved it Well done Aaron Beverly
Acceptance despite difference wow powerful words will hold on to those words thank you Aaron
Thank you for watching, Aidah!
Super excited to see and do it
Aaron is so much more than a mechanically sound speaker with contagious stage presence and honed delivery skills; more than a talker - he's a teacher; more than keynoter - he's an ambassador of acceptance and love; who transformed the common topic of 'cultural diversity' into 'cultural Commonality.' So cool that he didn't let himself get in the way of his life changing message that epitomizes the unwritten 'mission' of Toastmasters International: 'Seek To Bless, Not Impress.' Whoa! Congrats!!
Thank you Dan! I appreciate that.
What a great storyteller. I kept laughing throughout the whole fighting for shoes part.
You made District 18 proud Aaron - powerful speech. You nailed the first 6 seconds and the audience stayed with you the entire way
This is an incredible video of an incredibly well spoken person. We all can learn from this.
Well done Aaron, well done! Awesome speech and message.
@@MinhQuan-jj2dx- you ask this over and over, in the comments. Did you try writing out a transcript of this or any other winning speech? Of course it needs to be a piece that reads well. There has to be a good structure to the parts, and a “through-line” or idea that carries all the way through. Add to a “good script” with strong nonverbal communication- like expressive gestures, or exciting body language, or even the use of physical props, as well as vocal dynamics like creating beats through inflection, changes in pitch, speed, and timing, use of pauses. All speeches, stories, performances OR scripts, need to start with writing which is worth reading.
This video never gets old! 🙌🏾
Appreciate you sharing your wisdom on this subject Queen! Great content 👏👏👏
Wonderful message Aaron.
Bro nailed it! Loved the msg and delivery
Congratulations! It is so deserved!!!
Linda Day Harrison 🙏
