You can`t be an effective healer and a rotten person at the same time. It doesn`t work that way. He works with energy as well, it`s not just a physical massage. I hope that explains my comment a bit.

I miss my grandpa. When we used to get stomachaches he would massage us. He'd 'transfer' us his energy with his palm over our head/anywhere we're hurting while muttering some kind of mantra and it'd always make us feel better. Watching this somehow warmed my heart and almost brought me to tears

For how simple it is I wonder if it works I know friction can be great if done right this seems like one of those " we can't talk about till we done it" kinda deals
It is good for the skin to use oil to reduce friction, otherwise in case of sensitive skin a huge amount of cells can be damaged, though it recovers on its on but it takes time

I remember my grandpa's massages as a child. His intensity was so.... Intense! But super effective. I never appreciated it coz i was a kid. But i would give anything to try it again now that all i have is body pain 😅

"Grandpa" may give the world's best massage; I can't say about that, but I can say is he is still a practicing martial arts student. Look closely at the knuckles, followed by the sheer density of his hands and fingers. Probably not a lot of regular bag work or sparring any more, but he is not a stranger in his home dojo. Props to G-Pop for that alone given his age.

arthritis has a large (but not definitive) genetic component and can be just something that does or does not happen to someone. People used to think runners would always end up with bad knees but after a few studies it turns out that runners tend to have better knees overall compared to a less physical group.
Because arthritis is a inmune disease that is why, it has nothing to do with working with your hands.
@@tatikto you are talking about rheumatoid arthritis... you can also get arthritis as a RSI, where you have worn away the cartilage in your wrist to the point where the bones are rubbing against the tendon... still, that is why I gave the runner example as there is not always a direct correlation and why they think there is some sort of genetic component associated with it.
@@adam346 There’s a diet connection as well. Whether it’s rheumatoid, osteo, or RSI, arthritis can be managed through diet. More carbs and sugar tend to exacerbate stiffness and pain. While the genetic component may exist, we have more control than we think.
