    Can you do a tour around your study area? Desk, book shelf etc... what law books do you own? And how you organize yourself to study. That would be nice! :)

    You should do a "day in the life" video, along with a video telling us how to stay sane while in Law School

    I have a huge interest in politics, philosophy, psych, sociology, and a lot more that is associated with law. But I'm not pursuing these interests, so I always think about whether law school would be a good choice for me later on. I know I am a great speaker and work really well with people, but don't know if that's good enough for a career in law. What type of skills do you think it takes to be a lawyer or work in law? Your videos are so so helpful. Thanks a lot and good luck to you hun!!

    How did you approach your professors to get a reference for law school? I have some profs that know me and I did well in their class, but I have no idea what the appropriate way to ask is... so awkward. and I go to uOttawa btw! :)

      It is! haha I just said that I was applying to law school, and asked if they could provide me a good reference for my application. Just be yourself and be polite! I'm sure if you have profs that know you and you did well it won't be a problem. People do it all the time, they'll probably be used to it. Hope this helps! :)

    In your next video can you give a basic outline of what your application looked like and what you think made you a strong candidate
    Also, for people that are also working and going to school, how important would you regard extra curriculars and volunteer work??

    Can you share with us why you decided to go to law school? Do you think simply wanting to study law is sufficient to apply to law school or do you think there has to be a strong desire to become a lawyer? (ie. want to study law but becoming a lawyer is not necessarily the ultimate goal)

    i have a question because i want to apply for London School of Economics, however i looked at the application process and you have to apply in OCtober, but what i don´t understand is if i apply in October than i won´t have all my marks yet from my fourth year so how are they going to look at that then?

    I know that this is an old comment section but I wanted to ask if an undergraduate degree from a college would be enough to be accepted into a law school. I'm currently a high school student and as I searched up ways to be accepted into law school, some cites say that high marks in college is fine but others say that you at least need a university degree to get in. So, is a college degree enough. Or is there like a specified college I have to attend in order to be accepted?

    Hey! Just discovered your channel and its great! I'm currently an undergrad at Carleton and I'm trying to decide which law schools I should apply to? How did you decide on Ottawa U? Stuck between western, Ottawa U and U of T

    • @lynnea4782
      @lynnea4782  Před 7 lety +1

      Well, I would recommend applying to any schools you are considering. All the decisions come once you have been accepted. I decided on Ottawa U for a number of reasons, but mostly because I liked what it offered, it's a beautiful city and I have family here! Hope this helps :)

    I was also wondering do you have to make presentation/oral stuff in law school because I am not that good even though I like reading and writing

    • @lynnea4782
      @lynnea4782  Před 7 lety +1

      Well, while most of being a lawyer is not necessarily arguing in court, you will definitely have to practice and develop your oral argument skills in law school. But that's where you learn and get better - you don't have to be great now! But you likely won't be able to get away from that.

  • @aliemad8222
    @aliemad8222 Před 7 lety

    Hey I'm in Ottawa, does it matter if you're a full time or part time during your undergrad?

    • @lynnea4782
      @lynnea4782  Před 7 lety

      I'm not sure! I'm guessing it depends on why you are part time. For example, if you are working full time so that you can pay for school and other expenses, I'm sure it won't work against you. But I really don't know for sure!

      It's a little repetitive and rambling, and her voice wavers. Would be better scripted in advance. Those observations aside- I appreciate her motivation, willingness to help others, and intelligence. She's attractive and female, which are both valuable persuasive features. More discipline undergirding them, and she'll kill her competitors. It would be fun to see her in five years.
